There have been a few on FB for beneficiaries waiting outside the US from CC Sep/Oct/Nov 2019. Strangely, they have been received "expedited" approval notifications, even though they didn't request their cases to be expedited.

We received an "expedited" notification for my wife's interview and we hadn't requested it to be expedited.  It looked like someone copy and pasted from another email and forgot to take out the expedited part.

  2. Both my wife and stepdaughter have visa interviews in Juarez next week.  They are separate cases and I realized too late that they each need a copy of our marriage certificate and we only have one.  And with covid restrictions it's been impossible to get one fast.  Anyone have ideas on what we can do or what will happen at the interview?

    Thanks

  3. My wife has her visa interview in Ciudad Juarez next week.  Our legal advisor told us to update our DS-260. And our interview letter said "Each applicant must complete the Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration (Form DS-260)."  We've already completed it but some of the information has changed in the 2 years since.  I logged into CEAC and opened the DS-260 and all the fields are locked. Uneditable.  Does anyone know how or if I can update the DS-260?

  4. We received the appointment letter for my wife's visa interview. Very happy.  The interview is rescheduled from April 2020. The letter says "please complete for ds-260 prior to the interview".  We already completed the ds-260 in March 2019 and none of the information changed.  Are they asking us to redo the ds-260?  Our daughter also has an interview but hers is a new interview, she didn't have one scheduled before the pandemic and her letter doesn't mention ds-260.  Thanks for any help.

  5. My stepdaughter documentarily qualified in Aug 2019 and just got an interview for May this year. yea!  Thing is my wife dqed a few months before our daughter, had and interview for April 2020 canceled but still doesn´t have a new interview date.

btw can anyone tell me if documentarily qualified is the same as CC  - thanks

    Hello!
i just got my appointment for March 22nd. I called on friday and they offered me that date. I am going for a follow up interview that was originally scheduled for march 31st 2020.
My waver was approved last year at the end of January.
does anyone here has experience with  follow up appointments? I got a letter last year saying I need a new medical exam, fill up the DS-260 and thats it.

If you guys have any recommendations on a follow up appointment please let me know. I’ll really appreciate it :)

Hi,  Can you tell me please what phone number you called.  I've tried to call the Juarez consulate and can only get recorded messages.

    Thanks

  7. My wife had an IR1 visa interview scheduled in Juarez for April 2020 canceled for the pandemic.  The Juarez consulate website now says all interviews for March and April 2020 have been rescheduled and if have not received a new appointment date contact the consulate.  I have contacted the consulate but they say 20 to 30 days for a response.  Any suggestions on what I should do next?  We have an appt with a lawyer next week.  Should I request a new appointment through ais.usvisa- info ?

    Thanks for any help

We were domiciled in another country when we filed DCF.  Bank accounts, credit cards, retirement accounts, and a family member’s address where all that was mailed to was enough to establish intent.

Thanks for the response but when was your interview? We are being told that in the past yes but, now all petitioners with foreign domicile are rejected. Can anyone confirm?  Thanks

  9. As proof of domicile, I wrote a letter stating we will establish domicile once we have the permanent resident visas.  I noted that I have a driver's license in Callifornia, a car registered in California and active bank accounts.  I submitted the letter for both my wife and daughter, the same letter.  For my wife's case the letter was accepted and she is awaiting the date for her visa interview.  In my daughters case the letter was first accepted than changed to rejected with a message saying 'Please provied proof of domicile"  I don't know if I should rework the letter and resubmit or email the NVC to ask why the letter is accepted for one and not the other.  But if I do this could they than reject the letter in my wife's case?

    Thanks for any advice
