got it...thats y may b otherwise passport n visa stamp works well for everything till GC is not there...so yea it makes sense
DMV said the issue was with the passport, the page was too thick for their machine or something. We don't need to worry about that anymore:)

Oh thats weird I am in dallas and there was no issue getting driving license ID without green card...they accepted the passport entry stamp as a GC proof
DMV did accept her IV as a proof of residency. The problem was with my wife's passport. For some reason DMV's passport scanner was unable to read my wife's passport data. We tried 3 different DVM locations. They told us they could submit a request to verify the passport, but it could take up to 6 months. So we decided it would be faster just to wait for the GC.

Hahaha so trueee...I waited for green card soo impatiently bec I wanted to travel and now when its with me I am wondering....why was I soo impatient about it 😕
besides u sound happy too congrats 😁
Thank you! The only thing that the green card is now letting us do is to get a Real ID driver's license. Other than that having the card doesn't really affect our life that much:)

Thanks for the prompt response. I got the same status of card mas mailed to me on 24 March but haven’t seen the tracking number yet.
When did you get the tracking number?
I got another status update next day and the uscis site is now showing a tracking number:

We are actually going to hit up a quick road trip to some national parks. We are both off, might as well just go, and isolation on some hikes is great.
Sounds like fun! We've been thinking of going to Yosemite, not sure if we can go anywhere now with the quarantine in CA though. And with a six months old baby we don't want to take too many chances.

Received my wife is happy. Now if only we could both work and she can update her file at work. ( We both work hotels in Orlando)
Congrats! Hopefully this coronavirus thing blows over quickly enough so that we can use those green cards to go on vacation!

I finally received a notification today that our case status changed to "Card Is Being Produced".
My USCIS online account is still showing the same status, but the date changed from March 16 to March 19:
The public "Check Status" page is showing the new status though:

Did you try the old case status website?
Yep, that one still says “visa fee payment received”. I check both sites at least once a day.

hey if its gone in production u should get it within 7-10days max. No worries ur almost there then
all the best
I wouldn't worry if our online status changed to "in production". But it's still the same "USCIS has accepted your application for processing" status that we've had since early December. Only the date got updated on March 16. But it also got updated on February 12, and still no card. So I'm a bit skeptical about what the agent said. Hopefully it's just their system not showing the most recent status.

same here...chatting with them always pushes things somehow...i have bugged them couple of times too and I believe it works....if not by phone then by email or chat anything whichever works...till they get fedup of ur followup and start looking at ur case...
besides congrats to u hope u recvd ur card
I chatted with an agent again today, she said that our card went into production on March 16 and we should receive it within 60 days. If we don't have it in 60 days we can contact them again:). I also submitted an inquiry from my USCIS account. Now that it's been 120 days I'll be bugging them on regular basis.

@og78 You should definitely do a chat request via ask emma (Just say "Chat with a representative") I pretty much just said "I am concerned it's been nearly 120 days nothing's happened, is there something wrong?" and the agent just did some requests and 3 days later it was in production now eventually on the way here
So I just chatted with an agent, told him I'm the petitioner and he told me that today is 119 days, I should contact them tomorrow if the card doesn't arrive by then, and that he cannot provide any case-specific information because I'm not the applicant.
Then I connected to another agent and told him I am the applicant (my wife is right next to me) and he pretty much told me the same thing - today is the 120th day and I should contact them tomorrow and they will be able to start an inquiry. He said they're not allowed to do it before 120 days have passed. We'll try tomorrow.

We are 117 days since POE and today our case got updated with the same "USCIS has accepted your application, petition, or request for processing" status:
Our POE is JFK on 11/19/2019. We had the same "USCIS has accepted your application..." status updated in December and on February 12.

Thanks and any luck with ur case? Keep bugging them by following up
Still no changes to our case. I'm just going to wait until it's 120 days and then I'll bug them. We're in no rush to get the card:)

I already tried to contact USCIS on Dec 27 and I received a standard reply that "we should receive our green card within 120 days" and that we should contact them once 120 days have passed. I guess I'm going to give it another try since we are at 105 days already. @Girl-S thanks for your advice!
I contacted USCIS 2 days ago and just got the same response:
"You should receive your Permanent Resident Card within 120 days of your entry into the United States or within 120 days after your USCIS Immigrant Fee is received (whichever occurred later). If you do not receive your Permanent Resident Card within this time-frame, please submit another inquiry to the USCIS Contact Center."
The status on my.uscis.gov and at https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do is still the same. I guess we'll keep waiting, 2 more weeks.

ok so we can just not say how do they process or start the application....just that I have sent message a couple of times in last two weeks from my uscis account to them asking for update and reason for delay and once they replied me they have raised an inquiry for my case too...so not sure if following or pushing them a lot is helpful but u can try that too....drop them a message from ur uscis account and ask them the cause for delay...may b it can speed up things...
I have to wait n see if my status updates in a week or so or is it stuck....fingers crossed !

We're in LA and we've been staying indoor too. Yeah, we definitely are not going anywhere until it's safe.
