We are sending in our information for my husbands 10 yr green card. Just got the babys birth certificate in the mail this morning and noticed that my husband's middle name was spelled incorrectly with one letter.

My question is is this a big deal. I plan to still send it in but in the meantime get it corrected with vital statistics.

Hoping that the rest of our documentation will be sufficient enough. So tedious..

It said Employment Authorization application approved and notice sent. What does that mean? It didnt say anything about the card being ordered.

My husband just got an email today saying "approval notice sent" What does that mean. I dont think that it said anything about EAD card sent or anything

how do you guys know youve been "touched" or how do you guys get the emails from them saying your card was ordered.

I sent a money with my AOS packet for the full amount of $1010. How do you go about tracking it, when do you know its been cashed?

Do you have to send passport photos with the travel document? I saw in some thread that people have sent thier passport photos and marriage certificate with this form. I dont recall the instructions calling for it. We have the rest of the AOS package put together already. We want to send it off today but wanted to ask you guys first. Anyone know?

I would say he is enjoying it. We finally got an apartment on our own (instead of with my brother and sister!) Things are slowly falling into place. I think since he has visited twice before he knew what to expect and there weren't any huge shocks. Plus, we found a place that sells vegemite so that will keep him happy! How is your adjustment going?

He likes it here. He actually lived here for 8 yrs but had to go back to AU two yrs ago. So now hes finally back here with me. He loved AU though. Im sure he misses it as well as his family.

Do you guys think its a good idea to send everything in one packet but each in thier own folder?

Also what is the alien registration number and where is it located? The reason I ask is because there are questions on the forms where I have to fill that in and I don't know if I have one

Is it o n the visa? the NOA2?

If you are maling an I-485 (AOS) and an I-765 (Employment authorization) do you send one check for the total amount or two separate checks for each form?

As long as you can prove that what you currently make is enough to support yourself and your fiancée, then you won't have a problem. If what you make is not enough, then you need to get a sponsor.

Ok great so it wont matter what I made the previous yrs just what I make now? Even though my most current tax returns dont reflect what Im making now? I have a household of 5 (including when my fiance arrives) and I make $31,333. Thats enough right?

Although I make enough money now, in the last 3 yrs my income was very low. Is that going to matter?

Well me and my fiance have been together for 5 yrs. so I think that its well over due. Thank you guys for replying. Im just trying to be prepared for when he comes. Im going to go get the marriage license this week since he already has a SS #. Then I need to figure out how all this AOS stuff works. A bit nervous about that step ugh....
