Thank you. They just answered us to go and take the oath. I emailed them. Maybe you should do the same?

I am emailing them daily, no response, can you tell me which embassy??
And for the second question you asked, after the oath either they will ask you to leave your passport or send it through aramex, then after one or two days they will print it and send it to you 🙏🏼

It has always been a consideration.  This is, in no way, a travel ban......this policy enforces existing law......which protects the US taxpayer as well as the new immigrant.  There is no reason the US taxpayer should bear the burden of new immigrant's health care.

Ok but do you know what we should do as immigrants? since my visa is a spouse immigrant visa ?

Congrats to all!  Also... to us!  We were contacted today by the Frankfurt consulate to finalize our visa application. We'll have to get new police certificates, do a new medical exam, mail it in and wait approximately two weeks for the consulate to finish processing. We're right around 11 months of AP and they are asking us to do it swiftly so that we can avoid having to do another interview (necessary if > 12 months).

    WOO HOO!

    Congratssss 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Did they ask you to update the DS 260 ??

  4. Also i discovered something, when you check the monthly visa issuance and you see they are issuing IR1 more than CR1 visa don't panic,

it turned out that if your visa type is Cr1 and you have been waiting for more than 2 years(from the second you files the I-130 till the visa issuance date ) they will change the CR1 to  IR1 visa, and this is a good thing because once you are there you will get your permanent green card not the conditional green card, enjoy it

  5. Hey guys, so finally the us embassy in cairo contacted me last Wednesday, (/ was changes to or 2 days) before they contacted me, i have been in AP for 9 months, visa type IR1, and already i filled joined mandamus action one month ago but still not finished, the embassy asked me for new medical, 2 personal photos, police clearance and my passport, they didn't ask me to update my DS-260 (p.s in my ds260 my old passport number but  at the interview i had my new passport and i told them that, they said no problem) so do you think i need to update the DS-260??!!

And does any one know How long US embassy in cairo/egypt take to send my passport back????

anyways, things are getting better so soon all of us will be reunited with our families, good luck

Hi all. Happy that people are finally getting good news. My husband and I also got some good news- I am pregnant. 🤰🏻Now the pressure is on for him to come before May. I really hope he will arrive before the baby. We knew it was chancy but I am turning 35 in January and can’t keep waiting to start our family. October 3 (a day after I turn 8 weeks) will be 6 months in AP. 😢

On a different note- is anyone coming to the Congressional meeting next Tuesday about the ban. My sister and I are going. This is our chance to speak up and show that this ban is hurting real people. If you live near DC I hope you will join me.

Praying we can all be with our loved ones soon!

Hello jess, congrats, you need to send them email asking for medical emergency expedition.

it happened to my friend, his wife was going to have a surgery, his laywer send the embassy an email asking for this kind of expedition, the embassy accepted  and they issued his visa in 3 weeks, try to get a medical report to support your request , good luck

My fiance is being asked to submit DS-5535 AGAIN, they just sent the same template e-mail asking for DS-5535 to be sent; but this was sent MONTHS AGO and they had updated the status in CEAC when it was sent - does anyone know why they're asking for it again? Did they possibly not process anything for months? Has this happened to anyone?

Hey joey, it happened to me yesterday, i send an email to

the embassy asking them for an update, so they replay to me

    “Dear Sir/Madam,

    Thank you for your email.

Please let the beneficiary fill out the attached form and send it as word document by email and then we will process the case and let him know the next step.

Please send us all phone numbers you had before in any other country you visited before along with the email address.”

So i sent them back that i already submit this for immediately after interview

    so their reply was: “

    Dear Sir,

    Thank you for your email.

    Please accept our apology.

The file under review and when we finish our procedures, we will update you about the next step.

    Best regards,”

I think it was a mistake from the embassy person who respond to me
