Definitely try to read and research as much as you possibly can about these processes. They are complex, time-consuming, and expensive. Arming yourself with knowledge ahead of time can potentially reduce or eliminate the chance of denials or delays.
Jorgedig thank you. Most definitely! We want to avoid that for sure!

Do either, you need a joint sponsor either way
Paul & Mary thank you.
Doesn't the spousal visa take twice as long as the K-1? like 12-14 months?

JFH thank you for the info. I read your reply. He's in the UK, I'm in the US. If we could do the spousal visa without my income yet and able to marry in the UK then bring him back with me that would be great. I don't know how all of this works.

Wuozopo thank you very much. I was worried that he couldn't get an interview there.

JMPM thank you for clarifying that fact, however, that doesn't fully answer my questions.

Hello,
I'm new on here and just coming across some info about the London Embassy is closing!?? Could someone please help clear things up? I have read several posts already and I'm so confused.
My situation is this:
Just moved back to the states and currently not working.
My fiance lives in the UK.
Planning on filing for K-1.
Currently looking for employment.
Questions:
1. Can I start the process and file the I-129F without a current job or is that an immediate denial?
2. When is the US Embassy in London no longer giving visa interviews/visas/closing?
3. If they close before he can get an interview, where will that take place?
Thank you
