  1. You just narrated my story. The only difference is you don’t have enough time since July is about 8 months from now. Here’s what I did-

    1) Gathered all evidence I thought I would need (every single thing)

    2) prayed.
    3) Met with a lawyer

    4) Filed for Divorce (if you don’t have any kids and don’t want anything from him, this process should be uncontested and faster depending on your state)

    5) file when it’s time - 90 day window -With waiver. You will need your divorce decree - now if you don’t have your decree by then, still file and send the decree after ( speak to about this)

I filed in August and I am hopeful my case will be approved. I sent over 100 pages of evidences .

    Goodluck

Hi All, Starting a thread for Aug 2020 I-751 Filers. I sent my package in today, but I doubt USCIS will receive, accept and process my documentation before early next week.

See my signature for my timeline, and fire away...

    This was my submission package

Sent mine with divorce waiver on August 6. Usps says it was delivered today. I’m very hopeful

The sooner you get the divorce started, the sooner you'll have the divorce decree. The sooner you have the decree, the sooner you can file for ROC instead of the 90 day window.

Obtaining the decree can take just as long as waiting for your ROC if your spouse won't cooperate in court.

Did you use a lawyer to file your i751? Or your did it yourself?

  4. Hi everyone ,

has anyone filed removal of conditions with divorce waivers? Please indicate below. I have questions .

I have been separated from my USC husband for 10 months now,  my Gc expires September 2020, I’m not sure whether to file a divorce now or wait until next year.

Also can you share what documents you submitted  while filing ? I don’t have taxes and joint bank account for this year. Filed married separately

  5. I got married in July 2017 and filing for AOS in September, fast forward to September last year, I received my Conditional Green card. Before my GC came , my marriage was facing so many issues , my husband was talking to different other women , some days he wouldn’t sleep at home. I lost my job and things became even worse . We grew apart while married. In December 2018, my husband left home and didn’t return. I lived in our home by myself and was forced to use his credit cards to pay rent . Our lease was going to expire in april this year: I reached out to him times without number , he blocked me, he didn’t renew the lease . I had to find move out at the end of the lease . I was still jobless until March , when I got a job.

Now I your advice , I am confused as to whether to file for divorce now or wait until months to remove conditions before I file .

I am still under his health insurance and car insurance. Would I need a lawyer when it’s time to remove the conditions ? I already know he’s not going to corporate, heck, I don’t even know where he is . We haven’t communicated in months.

How do I go about this ? My marriage was bonafide.

Is there anyone who’s been in my type of situation? Please how did you go about it? I know I have  to be divorced before filing with a waiver .

    Please advice me

    thank you
