1) yes nvc send ds3032 to poth parties involved== i think they do it just incase bene's gets lost
2)yes both aos and ds-3032 are in same envolope when it iis sent to you

3) no you have to do nothing but pay the aos bill the choice of agent is just for the bene.

make sure you get auto response e-mail in return when doing the short cut or i understand it did take

Thanks for the answer. Beneficiary (my wife) is the only one needed to email back the Choice of Agent, DS-3032, to pick me as an agent. All I need is to pay AOS bill ($70), without sending back or email DS-3032. Nor, I think that also answers your question.

Did anyone volunteer to do this Capt'n?
I am just about finished with my NVC process, and I can take a crack at the re-org if no one else is doing it.

Hi all. It looks like the links to various files, steps, and other items are spread across several posts and pages. If you would like we can collect and group this all back into a single page again for ease of reading by both new and old members. Thoughts? Can anyone help if so (that is familiar with the shortcuts and what posts need to be wrapped up together)?

Credzba, please do. I would appreciate a single post with the most up-to-date James' shortcut including the correct files, links, bar codes instructions.

Just have a quick question for those that have cases with NVC currently. DS-3032 is only generated for the alien right? or is it also generated for the petitioner, too?

For some reason when I read the NVC Process Flowchart for CR-1/IR-1 Visa Applicants, I got the misleading idea that DS-3032 is generated and is sent to both petitioner and alien. It states as follow:

"NVC Generates and sends a copy of the DS-3032 (Choice of Agent form) and the AOS Bill to the petitioner."

"At the same time, NVC generates and sends the DS-3032 to the alien."

I'll have my wife email NVC the Choice of Agent when it's generated for us. The question is, do I also need to email NVC to tell them to send everything to me? Just want to clear up this question that I've for a long time. Thanks!

I'm really hoping USCIS starts processing the approvals to our August cases next month. In the meanwhile, all June/July people need to get their NOA2. The faster they get the faster we, August/September, receive ours.

The required Documents for DS-230: ( http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3195.html )
The applicant and each family member who will accompany the applicant to the United States will need to submit the following original documents or certified copies of the documents listed in this section from an appropriate authority (the issuing entity). In addition to sending the original documents or certified copies of the documents to the NVC, the applicant and each accompanying family member must submit a photocopy of the original documents or certified copies of the documents.

Birth Certificate

Court and Prison Records

Deportation Documentation

Marriage Certificate

Marriage Termination Documentation

Military Records

Photocopy of Valid Passport Biographic Data Page

Police Certificate(s)

All documents that pertain to the applicant’s petition are required, even if they were previously submitted to the CIS with the applicant’s petition.

I thought these documents only needed to present during the interview phase later on. Thanks for the much needed info since it'll take time to retrieve these documents requiring for DS-230 submission.

... Now NVC mailed me a checklist for those missing doc. The rule has been changes as of Jan 01, 2008 ...

If you don't mind, would you please post the details for the official checklist of required documents to be sent to NVC for DS-230? I and others would certainly appreciate the info for future preparation.

I am a newbie here. So far I found a lot of helpful information in this site. We are in the early stage of the journey, just received our NOA1 on December 18.

Now I want to ask my first question. In a post by Landy (http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=153&st=75), Lan said that one of the girl got the blue slip because her fiance did not have enough money in the saving account, and she said the minimum amount should be $20,000. I want to konw if this is true: the petitioner must have at least $20,000 in his/her account?

Yea, it is hard to tell without knowing the inside story. I'll take a guess at this one, too. The way I see it is that the sponsor of that girl's with blue slip doesn't have income proof to meet the requirement of 125% poverty line and still need another $4000 to qualify for the requirement.

According to the guideline to Affidavit of Support, for sponsors of immediate relative spouse of U.S. citizens, the amount of required assents is reduced five times the difference between the governing poverty guideline and actual household income. So for a household size of 4, it follows:

125 percent of poverty guideline:

$25,000

Sponsor's income:

$21,000

Difference:

$4,000

Multiply by 5:

x5

Minimum required cash value:

$20,000

If your salary (W-2) qualify the 125% poverty line, then you don't even need to show asset/bank record.
