  1. my mom is flying from the Philippines next Wednesday. She is staying here in the US for 2 months. She got approved with Tourist Visa. I already posted here before if she needed anything else to show or prove to the Philippine Embassy and US officials that we are supporting her trip. She has work but no money in the bank but $200. I wonder if the CBP will ask for show money as she will be flying by herself. She is 62 years old too and barely speak English. I wonder if somebody can help her out on the fly and airport on what to do. Who should I talk to to help her make her flight easy.
  2. Yes. She has a return ticker. I was wondering if there is any other documents she can prepare for herself upon departure? Or to present to the port of entry.
  3. My mom got approved for US tourist Visa. Such a lovely news. We booked her a ticket for thisnend of the month and will stay in the US for 11 weeks. I’m aware she can only stay here maximum of 3 months. Now, I am not sure what are the next steps. She already got her passport with the Visa in it. Any other preparation for her I need to be aware of? Documents? Port of Entry questions? Thanks in advance. I feel like I need to get things out of the way before her flight so her flight will be smooth for her. She will be flying by herself. Senior citizen by the way.
  4. I don't post here regularly, so apologized for any mistakes. I posted here a year ago about my mom's interview for tourist visa. I made her an appointment from Apri 2023l and bump it down to February 2023 as somebody have given up that slot. I was lucky. So, I waited this year and this month to prepare for her interview and make sure she gets all the documents and prepared herself. (I know I can't do anything for her) but to make the techy side easier for her. Upon checking my email that I used to her DS-160 account (where all her schedule and forms are uploaded) It says April 2023 was still here appointment. It was a confirmation that was sent to me when I first made her appointment BUT there was no second confirmation when I changed her appointment to February as I can remember it was automatically posted to her dashboard. The problem is, I forgot the password of the log in where I can see her dashboard, I tried to do the "forgot password" procedure and there is no email sending me a temporary password from the website. I did it multiple times. Unfortunately, I ended up creating a new account using the same email address and now there is no information on the dashboard at all, e.i interview appointment, ds-160 forms. etc. is there any hope on this? or who should I talk to to retrieve the appointment schedule. I somewhat can retrieve here ds-160 form and can see it online. I'm hoping i did not made the biggest mistake for being not knowledgeable about this process. we have been waiting for exact one year for her interview to finally come.
  5. We are departing to PI in the next two weeks. We book a ticket via CheapOair and really no specific instructions what to prepare for Border Entry. We are not vaccinated and not planning to unless it’s a very serious matter. (Please I’m not inviting a political debate) There is a post in twitter saying that from other country, before you enter back to the US, you are required to get vaccinated. This person from teitter is highly respectable and travels a lot. She calims its effective until Jan 2023. We will be in the Philippines for 9 weeks and will be back to US early February 2023. as far as the airlines, we have connecting flight to Japan and not sure what documents the airlines and Japan needed prior to COVID concerns. I have not been home for swhile and travelling with a toddler ina long haul flight will not be easy. Do I need a PCR test a week or 3days before departure? Where to get it? sorry to ask here but I am so confused eith different answers from the airlines ams google.
  6. My husband, our son will be 1year old by then and I will be visiting Philippines for 3 months. We are planning to just book a one way ticket simply because we don’y know when we would like to come back. I’m aware of renewing my husband’s Visa and my son probably since he was born here in the U.S. but by the time I am about to book our ticket the airline was saying that the Immigration in the Philippines will asked for our return tickets soecially my husband that is not a Philippine citizen. Any thoughts on this? Planning to go there January.
