Hi! I used a transcribe service online. It took a lot of back and forth because they had to fix a lot of things but it ended up right in the end.

We didn't get a apostille but whatever is safer for you.

We personally did not have an apostillar but better safe than sorry.

My brother in law got my husband's birth folio from San Pedro sula, didn't even have to go to the capital but everyone's case is different.

Better to be extra cautious

We had his brother go to the registro. He asked for the birth folio, it's an actual photocopy from the book of births.

I just personally think it's worth it to have everything in your own possession but to each his own. I like have the original copies, never know of they will ask for you to being it to the interview or if you might need it some day.

We had my husband's brother overnight it to us. Cost 80 dollars just to overnight it but it was worth the peace of mind. Because we wanted the original copy with the stamp on it. Don't email it

We sent the folio copy. His brother in Honduras went and requested a copy form the book of births. I sent it a month ago and they haven't said anything so I'm pretty sure they accepted it

The reason they ask for this is because the above document you show is incredible easy to forge. So a copy will be even easier to do so. I think it's an appropriate measure but they should communicate what documents are an are not acceptable based on country earlier in the application process (i.e. in the instructions).

 

I luckily spoke with my mother who can go to the appropriate office in Honduras to obtain it. They are basically asking for a copy of the actual book where births are written down.

 

It's not impossible to get, there may be international services who could do it for you. I found this with a quick google search:

Im using a service that's having a hard time keeping the format right with my husbands birth certificate. The spanish copy we got from Honduras is the length of legal paper.

Anyway, the formatting keeps cutting things off.

I'm wondering if the translated version is separated into two different pages, if USCIS willl be okay with that or if it HAS to match the original format?

My husband and I had to get a joint sponsor. The joint sponsor we are using ALREADY sponsors his wife.

Under PART 5 (form I864)

For question 1 it will be : 1 (for my husband)
2: 1 (joint sponsor)
3: 1 (for wife) 
4: 1 (their daughter) 
5: 0
But then 6 asks to enter a number for any other persons you have sponsored. That would be his wife who is now an LPR.... but shes already included in question 3. 
It says not to enter someone twice so.... help?!  Lol

You, the petitioner, aren't part of the household size unless in the case you live with the joint sponsor already.

He just adds her to the household size right? Or does he also have to put her name and relationship under family members?

Does the joint sponsor need to include me as well in the household size, or just my husband, his wife and himself?

This is the situation: 
My husbands joint sponsor makes enough income that his wife is not needed. 
They thought they were filing jointly but recently discovered that they weren't. 
They got the taxes amended BUT this amendment does not reflect on the joint sponsors tax transcript yet. They do have proof that they have sent it off to the IRS though. 
Does his wife still need to fill out the i864a? She is currently going through ROC herself...

They are a pain to get and you can only get them in Tegucigalpa or the city where he was born, it is the original registry from the births and it must be notarized. It is a pain because no one has them except to get a Visa. We ended up just having a lawyer get one for us.

Sometimes USCIS inexplicably requests documents that have already been sent.  I would send it again.

Yes, I did include a translation but at the bottom it read "illegible seal" maybe because on my husbands the seal is hard to read?

But with some research, ive read that they want the complete original which is almost impossible to get.

Ive talked to others from Honduras who said they sent the same copy and it was accepted.

My husband is adjusting status through me a USC.

On june 12th USCIS received our case and began working on it.

on August 16th, 2019 we received an RFIE which states:

Submit a copy of the primary birth record issued by the appropriate civil authority for the applicant. The U.S Department of states visa reciprocity and civil documents indicates the only acceptable document is the Copy of Birth Folio, "Copia de Folio del Libro de Nacimientos." If the Copy of Birth, "Copia de Folio del Libro de Nacimientos," is not available , you must submit acceptable secondary evidence AND a letter from the government or other authority. Examples of acceptable secondary evidence may include, but is not limited to; church or school records, listing your parents names and your date of birth; hospital records of your birth; or other official records indicating a country and record of birth.

Im so confused because we sent his birth certificate. I have attached a copy of what the one we sent looked like. It is not my image, I got it from google.

Ive been doing some research and Im coming up with copies of stuff we cannot get easily, if at all.

Im so scared that my husband wont get accepted over this.
