Looking at your timeline ,  the biometrics isn't done yet but scheduled for 2/12/21 and you have a long wait ahead for your AOS process/ i doubt a SS# will come before April 15th which is just a little over months away

In this case i would follow IRS guidelines for getting the ITIN for Resident alien spouse of USC / its not that hard to do but you do have to paper file to send in the supporting documents

and in your case filing MFJ is a bigger refund

Thank you so much for your help ☺️

  3. Hello everyone, I hope you are well, I am writing to you because I am a bit worried, with my husband we sent the change of status, travel permit, work permit at the end of July, and so far we still have not received any news for the biometrics appointment, someone else is going through  the same? or they already called you for the biometric appointment, thank you.

When they added the I-944 requirement, they did so for all AOS applicants, even though it would have been much more logical to exclude marriage-based AOS applicants (who obviously are relying on their spouse to support them), or at least applicants adjusting from K visas (who have not been in the US long enough to build any US credit history, barring extraordinary circumstances).

If you can show you can't get a credit record because you don't have one, that's sufficient. I don't remember what the process is for this (we were done before the I-944 requirement came in)

I totally understand your point me and my husband are going crazy with all the things they ask with the new form, make no sense for k1 to do it, I don't know how to prove I can't have a credit score here and all the evidence they ask about your skills, even all your school diplomas I'm in USA and I have no way of getting my school diploma or even my college history bcs I freeze college when I move there, the ask evidence of all your value things and all your debs I'm going nuts here

  5. NOA1 is just a receipt that they have your file. Next is the approval called the NOA2 . Next comes the case number assigned by NVC.

Just wanted to help you understand the process as your post indicated you have a case number which is not necessarily correct.

Thank you yes, we doble check and yea is a case number what he have so now just wait for the noa2 thank you

If it's been over 30 days since you filed any form with a USCIS lockbox (I-129F petition, AOS forms, etc.) and you don't have a NOA1, you should contact lockbox support.

From the "Contact Us" page on USCIS.gov ...

Thank you, I'm going to send a mail too, we try to call today but the waiting was more than 1 hour 😕

The reason of calling, case status/document not received.

Call and say you don't know your Reciept number right now. they will need petitioner's full name, dob, address as submitted on petition etc

then she can give you status and just just her and ask her to repeat the receipt number.

Thank you when I have news I will post them so everyone can use the info 🥰😀
