From my observations here on VJ regarding Lagos, there is an online appointment scheduling component for the consulate's website.  I believe the visa application itself is all online, but I'm not sure about the supporting documentation.  Best of luck.

I wonder if we can schedule now or if we must wait until the embassy has our case file. The NVC is just sending it there. Thanks for your response.

Immigrant visa applicants will have to demonstrate that they will be covered by health insurance within thirty days of entering the country or have the financial resources to pay for medical costs.  Details below:

How will we prove they will he covered. I will add my fiance to my insurance as soon as he is here and we have married, but how will I prove that?

  3. We received the email from the NVC that our paperwork is being sent to the embassy and it said we should follow the instructions on the website for applying for the Visa. I am a bit confused about the steps to take from here. I am sending the sponsor form and other documents to my fiance in Nigeria, I know he has to fill out the DS160 form. Must this be done online? Also, does he call for an interview appointment or will the embassy give us an appointment when they notify us they have received our paperwork? I'm nervous we should be calling for the appointment now. Thanks in advance!

The preview app on Mac OSX works fine.  For any field you can type into, just add a text field and type into that. Move the text field into the right place.

I don't have Mac OSX. I'm using a Windows OS. I ended up printing the entire application and filling it out by hand.  I couldn't get many of the fields to even accept text.

  5. I'm confused on whether form G-325A is always necessary.  It is listed on the example table of contents letter but the instructions make it sound like it's only necessary for those requiring deferred action for millitary service, or with a criminal record.  Can someone please clarify? Thanks!

  6. I have had the form almost completely filled out twice and had it clear all the information.  I also can't type in all of the fields on the form.  Is there a way to save your work part way through and it is a must to type in all the information or can I print the form and hand-write the information in.  Thanks for any help or advice.
