By all mean yes update your email address with NVC even if you had no changes. They may not have your address. At the same time you can request to be notified once your case in at NVC and also once a case number has been assigned. The email route does not always work (meaning they don't always answer or acknowledge), but at least it's out there. I'm sure most of you will get your case numbers by phone anyway, but yes do update your email address as well as your beneficiaries email address too.

we call them every day. the information has not changed for a month! e-mail address we have not changed and it is correctly specified in our case. they said to wait 6 weeks and if there is no answer, then send them a confirmation e-mail I-797

hi, has anyone been approved on 27 April? and still waiting for the case number from the NVC??? how long? we called the NVC, they said that they do not have our documents. it's been a month!

But how it's possible? Lady from USCIS said, that they send our documents to NVC month ago?! 27 of April they send when my case was approved. How my documents can be still in USCIS?

I've addressed in the first post on the first page of this thread. 

when I asked NVC about our case, they replied in a letter: 

Thank you for your inquiry. We do not have a record of receiving your petition.

 It can take at least six weeks for the National Visa Center (NVC) to receive an approved petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and enter it in the U.S. Department of State's database system. If it has been less than six weeks since USCIS approved your petition, you don't need to take any action at this point.

Hello, received approval on April 27, 2019, documents sent to the NVC almost month ago,  Lady from USCIS said, but no number from the NVC! How long? Really 6 weeks? 🙄

I was on hold for maybe 5 mins then was put through to a lady that asked me my full name, who I was on the visa, my date of birth and my receipt number. She then gave me our case number and invoice number. Good luck!

How did you get through to the NVC? My fiancé called them and no one answered for two days. He hears an answering machine that all information can be obtained on the website.
