  1. I think the appointment missing are people not updating their timeline 😉 Congrats for your extension
  2. Not N400, that link is is only for "lifting conditions (I-751) Timeline" Most people (at the National Benefits Center) seem to have their Biometrics around one month after their NOA1. My NOA1 is May 31rst, so I can imagine the appointment to be around June 30th, and I'm leaving on the 19th... arffff I hope I have time to do it before, or to postpone it in August (but I think you don't get to choose, right?). Anyway, I will stop thinking about it too much and we'll see. Take care you all
  3. I'm responding to myself 😂 but it may help others. About the Biometrics Appointment and postponing if needed : https://www.visaplace.com/blog-immigration-law/us-biometrics/?campaignid=15295163181&adgroupid=130079794019&creative=562461666637&matchtype=&network=s&device=c&keyword=&gc_id=15295163181&h_ad_id=562461666637&campaignid=15295163181&adgroupid=130079794019&creative=562461666637&matchtype=&network=s&device=c&keyword=&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=DSA6USABookingsROAS2
  4. Like you (CR1) I'm sure I will have the Biometrics (btw what is it exactly? what is it for, what kind of questions do they ask you, etc). When I follow the link https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/liftlist.php?cfl=0&op1=2&op2=&op3=&op4=3&op5=5,9,10,11,12&op6=National Benefits Center and if I select National Benefits Center, almost EVERYBODY has the Biometrics appointment. I hope I can postpone it, because my trip to France has been planned in a long time and I never get to go on holidays.
  5. I see that a lot of people get a Biometric appointment around 2 months after receiving their NOA1 but I have bought flight tickets to visit my family late June, for 6 weeks... 😳
  6. Hello Everyone, This page on VJ might be useful to know a bit more about the delays. https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/liftlist.php?cfl=0&op1=5&op2=&op3=&op4=1&op5=5,9,10,11,12&op6=All You can select your Service Center for more accuracy.
  7. That is great mepck and welcome! Good news for you too Don0! I have just received by post the actualI-797 Notice of Action "your conditional permanent resident status is extended for 24 months from the expiration date on" the green card. A question: does the 10year card start A) on the day we will actually get the 10 year card OR B) from the expiration date of our 2year GC. My guess is B, but just asking.
  8. Ow I will look it up! I did not know. I just did the "test" to check on my eligibility, but it says that in my case, I have to wait 5 years of residency. Thanks
  9. I just realised that you must have lived minimum 5 years in the US to apply for citizenship...
  10. Yes I saw that too. It seems that USCIS sends files to MSC whenever the other "usual" centers are overloaded with files. Anyway Are you guys going to do the N400 after this? Or during this? Or not at all?
  11. yes i know but where can I find the delay for that center, since USCIS is only mentioning Cal, Nebraska, Potomac, Texas and Vermont... even a little approximation would be appreciated 😉 I have just found this https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/processing-times-faqs but not very helpful.
  12. On the USCIS website, the California Service center is the fastest to process. Good for you An average of 10 months. Nebraska 17,5months Potomac 23,5months Texas 11months Vermont 14,5. I don't know what MSC stands for. Anyone? Have a great week-end you all.💐
  13. True. All kinds of things can happen. Also covid has prevent a lot of people from fulfilling their original plan... sadly. For the CR1 file, I must say Visa Journey has been a blessing. It has helped so much. We had a lawyer at first and he made so many mistakes, that we had to fire him (he got paid all the same), and VJ really saved us. @Don0 Congrats! That's great. Same days as me. And I have MSC as well...
  14. You know I think it is because we learnt SO MUCH 2-2,5 years ago with how USCIS works, to get our green card. And so probably a lot of people are doing it on their own. Or maybe they are somewhere else in the Forum 😉 We are a nice club of 5 people 😎
  15. So how many of us are there? Not so much lol. Caligirl1 Scott001 Don0 HDia and me. Good luck to us all. 🎉 For a smooth fast process.
  16. Hello All, The file was sent on Saturday 21st by Fedex. Received on Monday 23rd. And I have just received a text message "Your case was received.Receipt #xxxxxxxxxxxx. Official receipt notice(Form I-797C) to follow in mail."
  17. I don't think you get any news from USCIS for receiving your package. But you can be told by Fedex/USPS/UPS etc. I sent my package on last Saturday (express way it cost over 150dollars ) and with the tracking number I was able to see that it was correctly delivered yesterday Monday. Next step is for USCIS to actually notify you that they have your package by post mail and/or email. I believe it takes about 10 days.
  18. Hey Caligirl1! Part of the file is copies from the originals (so we won't make copies - like you said, we have the originals) And the rest is all digitalized in both our computers. I am going to make a very precise list of all the documents we are going to send.
  19. Hello and welcome Don0 And we are both from California (not that it changes anything to our file case)
  20. Hello Everyone, It is still early in May, but I did not find a thread for May filers so thought I would start one (if I missed it please let me know lol). I am to send the whole file around May 17th. Anyone else in the adventure? Take care Alix
