You could drive yourselves crazy trying to figure out all of the possible reasons for any possible issues in your case.:hehe: The one good thing that you seemed to lightly gloss over is that the CO kept the passports! If there was something fundamentally wrong in your visa application, the CO would likely have just returned the passports to you.

There is nothing more that you can do now, except wait. It will do you no good to keep perseverating about the interview, trying to "divine out" any potential issues. Calm down !!

You paid the price for admission to this meeting, now you just have to wait until a decision has been make. Hopefully it is in your favor. If there is an issue, hopefully it is easily remedied.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Thank you very much. You are right, we have to wait.

  2. My fiance had the interview for k1 and k2 visas last week in Madrid. They jumped his order number and left him for last, he was the last person interviewed that day, there was nobody else in the consulate. He was with his son but the child was not asked anything and asked to sit down. I was also in the consulate but they did not call me for the interview. The CO asked my fiancé many questions about the child, about him, and about the relationship. All questions were answered without difficulty since we have an authentic relationship. She did not ask about wedding plans or future plans in the United States. She also asked him to show pictures of the relationship, the officer looked at some of them. After more than 45 minutes of interview, she kept the passports and told my fiance that the case needed more review and that he would receive the passports with the visas or any other determination on the case by mail. They did not give him any letter or document.

We did not see this coming because we have a real relationship, which lasts more than a year and a half, we have seen each other 18 times during that period of time, we have traveled to different countries on vacation, we are both originally from the same country and city (we are both Cuban but now my fiance is also Spanish citizen and lives in Spain), we are both Doctors, our families have met and shared time together. My fiancé has never been to the United States and therefore has not violated any immigration law; his criminal record is completely clean. The affidavit of support far exceeds the established limits because I (the petitioner) practice Medicine in the United States and I have a very high income.

The only possible negative elements are that my fiance was denied a tourist visa in the past and therefore can not travel with ESTA (visa exemption) either. Could it be considered as a negative or particular element that we are a gay couple?

Since the interview the case appears in CEAC as NONIMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION, status: Application received.

I would like to hear opinions about the reason for this revision, and what the final result might be.

Thank you very much in advance.

  3. Hello. We will bring exactly everything we sent to the embassy in packet 3 plus the medical exam results, and copy of the confirmation of the interview appointment and payment of the visa.

I am not sure what do they mean by "Confirmation and Instructions page printed from this website". I am assuming is the email they sent us when we made the appointment for the interview... what do you think or know about it?

    Thanks

Someone with experience in medical examination in Madrid for K1 and K2 visa please help me clarify this issue.

The results of the medical examination would be available in 7 days for both applicants, or in 7 days for the adult (k1) and in 11 days for the child (k2)?

The child in this case is 10 years old and according to the information on the website if the medical center in Madrid it is not clear to me whether, for the delivery of the results, the child would be considered as a type of visa D (fiance visa-results available in 5 business days) or type of visa B (Immigration visa for children between the ages of 2 and 14-results available in 9 business days).

Thank you very much in advance.

    Hi all,

I received a notification that I could schedule my interview 10 days ago. Since then I have checked the calendar on https://ais.usvisa-info.com/ and they haven't released a single date yet. Is this normal? I contacted them two days ago and they told me that they were going to release some days yesterday, but it never happened. I'm starting to get a bit nervous.

    Any input is appreciated!!

We are exactly in the same situation, waiting since May 21th.

Hello: I just tried all the options you mention and definitively there is no attachment. I will email then again right now.

Thank you very much. i will keep you posted.

Hello Mickester: I sent an email to the embassy notifying them I didn’t receive the attachment and they replied to me today with packet 3 attached. You were absolutely right. Thank you very much. All documents requested in packet 3 were sent to the embassy today. Thanks a lot. Regards

It seems like they have sent or tried to send you packet 3 in that email you just got, I would recommend opening the email in another browser or forwarding it to yourself to another email, or to your fiance's email. I was not able to see the attachment in one email but I was able to see the attachment in my other email. Give that a try, if you still do not see an attachment, email them back saying there is no attachment, maybe they made a mistake, but try the other things first.

We emailed them once we knew our case was at the embassy at ivmadrid@state.gov, asking if it was possible to get packet 3 through email and then 2 to 3 days later they replied to us with the packet 3 attached to the email. We sent packet 3 after receiving it through email. We never received a physical letter so email them asap.

Thank you so much for your answer Mickester. Last Friday I checked the status of our case in CEAC and it appears as Ready, before the status was In transit. Assuming that Ready means the case is already at the embassy in Madrid I sent them an email the same day asking if we have to wait for package 3 to send the required documents. They replied to me today and this was the answer:

    Dear Mr....

Please, see and follow the instructions attached to this email.

    Regards,

There was not attachment, and I wonder what does that answer mean? They have the case but they haven't process it yet?

    Any thought will be appreciated.

    Hello,

So we have already sent our packet 3 and are now waiting on receiving the authorization to schedule our interview date and medical appointment. I was just wondering how did those who did the process through the US Embassy in Madrid receive that authorization? Was it through mail or electronically through email?

Would appreciate any type of info on that! Thanks 🤗

Hello: I am also processing my case at US Embassy in Madrid but I am not at that point yet. Our case is already at the embassy, and I would like to ask you when did you send package 3 to Madrid, once you knew the case was at the embassy or you waited until the beneficiary received the package 3? In case you waited for package 3, how did you receive it -by email or by email-, and how long it took for the embassy to send it to you? Thank you very much.

Have you visited the embassy website?  The entire list of instructions is online.

Yes, I visited the embassy website and all the instructions are there. I just don't know if I can send all the documents required for the visa application or I have to wait for them to send me package 3 and then send the documents to the embassy. I have reviewed other forums and some people sent everything before receiving package 3 in order to save time, but other people do recommend to wait until beneficiary receives package 3.

  11. The status of our case in CEAC is Ready. I sent an email to the embassy asking if we could start sending the documents for the visa application or if we have to wait for thebeneficiary to receive package 3. The answer was:

    Official-Privacy/PII

    UNCLASSIFIED

I would like to know what does that mean? How to proceed?

    Thank you !
