    If took the uscis in California two weeks before they told me my petition was in transit. It may be at NVC now, but not assigned a case number yet.   I had to call a tier 2 employee at USCIS to find out it was in transit October 1st., But no case assignment, they keep saying call back every few days.   Good luck a lot of patience is required

      Thanks for the update, I really appreciate it. My case is still young, it was approved 11 days ago.
