Oh I meant the shipping status for USPS shows its in acceptance. It says coming from USCIS- LEES SUMMIT PRODUCTION FACILITY.
Very frustrating.
Nice, we're hoping to go back to my country for a weekend if it gets here on time, I'm just surprised at how fast they're shipping it since it just updated yesterday to Card being produced.
I just reentered the country on my AP last night - into DFW as my poe.
DFW is going through a transition to the automated machines, and we landed at 1830, which meant that there were about 6 kiosks open with CBP agents. I waited for about 30minutes in the "other visa/non ESTA" line. There were a LOT of people behind me.
I got called back for secondary inspection (which is the norm), which lasted about 5 minutes, got the passport parole stamp and was on my way. Was a lot easier than when I was on an F1 visa - I didnt feel like I was being judged.
One thing I will say is that the US has now done away with the customs slip, and as an AoS applicant, we do not need to fill this out anymore. I was unsure, and the workers in the hall kept saying I needed to go to the ESTA machine and get a slip - even though I do not / we do not need an ESTA. I was worried I would have to finish the line and then go and get more documentation - but I did not.
I travelled with a lot of paperwork. Passport / EAD AP Combo Card / NOAs for EAD AP Combo Card / NOA for i485 / Marriage License.
I presented my passport, and the Combo card. The agent asked what my reason for AoS & parole was, which was marriage. I then went back into the secondary room, and was through bags in hand in about 45mins.

I completed a Ph.D. program in 2015 as an F-1 student and did my one-year OPT. I'm now thinking of going back to school for another degree, M. Sci. If I do this, will I be eligible to get OPT again? Thanks.
The only way to get two periods of OPT is to partake in two levels of school (ex. Undergraduate & Graduate).
I would consult the International Student office at the school you want to study at. I don't know how it works with regards to you having a PhD and then going back to get another Masters of Science.

Yes! it says its coming from USCIS and its "Acceptance" That was fast, it just went into production yesterday! Man I've been waiting for this for a while. Have you traveled with it yet ? Btw you said it needs to be signed for ?
I am unsure what you mean by acceptance? But it sounds like the EAD AP card.
It is frustrating the lack of consistency with updates and NOA’s.
I am traveling in just over 2 weeks! Can’t wait.

Hey, Question! when your EAD got approved. Do the Approval letters show as a package or just the EAD on informed delivery? I just got a text message saying a package is coming and is on Pre shipment info for a USPS facility as of 04/30. Would that be my EAD of just the approval letter?
No - the approval letters are regular mail letters which show up as scanned letters in your informed delivery dashboard / email.
When you you get the EAD it is a piece that requires a signature. If you log in to informed delivery you will be able to see the coming soon packages and it should say USCIS with the tracking number. That is the Combo card.
Sounds like that is your Combo Card if it is from USCIS.

I want to try and apply for school now i have my green card and i can finally work etc. I'm not sure how it works or if i can apply for school. I'm 27 and i have no proof of my education from school and my grades i got from school and i'm pretty sure my school doesn't have any of that either, is this needed to apply for school in the US? I'm clueless as to how it works and what i would need to apply. Anybody help with some info??
TIA
When I came over to the US (2007) I had to get a company to transcribe my secondary school (High School) GCSE transcripts to see my eligibility for US college/uni. Basically converting my UK qualifications into the US system.
Im assuming you completed GCSE's? I think you can get in touch with the governing bodies to get an authentic transcript that you can then send to one of the translating companies. The company that I used was called the IERF, but it was recommend to me by the school that I applied to.

Hi Everyone! I requested to expedite my travel authorization on April 10th 2019 over the phone. On Saturday April 13th I woke up to an email requesting evidence. I faxed it in the same day. I had reached out to my local congresswoman for help, they sent in my evidence as well and sent in a follow up request. I also tried reaching out to my Senator but not sure if they sent anything in. Today I have an update on my account that says: On April 19, 2019, your request to have your case expedited, referral number T1B1XXXXXX, was assigned to an officer for response.
Can anyone let me know what they think about this? I feel like some people get different updates that use different wording. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!!
My date of filing is January 29th, 2019. I already had biometrics and my I-485 has said "Case Ready to Be Scheduled for Interview" since March 28, 2019.
Thanks everyone! This feed has helped me SO much!!
You should start at page 1 - there is a lot of good information in this thread.
Especially detailing the process.
Every time that an officer looks at your case you will receive those prompts on your case status page.
Good luck!

They dont do that around here... Good Friday and Easter Monday are normal working days for the government. In Canada it was a holiday, but I was surprised to learn that here (at least in Tennessee) it is not.
Yeah, I know - I just do not know if it slows it down etc.

Have you received your approval notices for EAD/AP yet? How long does it usually take for you to receive correspondence from USCIS?
Yes. Timeline:
4/10 - Card is being produced.
4/13 - Received approval letters for both AP & EAD.
4/16 - Your Card has been Shipped
4/17 - Appeared on my USPS Informed Delivery in the packages coming soon section.
Should be delivered tomorrow (4/18/2019)

So you saw your card in Informed Delivery yesterday? Or you haven't received a tracking # or anything for it yet? My Status changed to shipped last night, wonder if that means I'll get it tomorrow or Saturday...
Yes, go on informed delivery and it is there under packages. It has a tracking number inside the informed delivery. It just says that I am to receive a 'package' (priority mail) from USCIS. There was no update to my case status with a tracking number. My my.uscis.gov account still says "case received" on all four of my forms. My case status on USCIS.gov says card was shipped on the I-765, and Case was received on the I-131.
If your timeline is the same as mine you should see it in your informed delivery tonight, or tomorrow. Probably receive it early next week. My card is being delivered tomorrow.
15 hours ago, SMK 89 said:Yay! I also just a few minutes ago got the email and text notification saying the same! I wonder if that means we will actually have them in hand by Saturday ...
Possibly, remember this Friday is good friday - so that might slow things down.

Hey Michael, how long did it take to receive your card in the mail from the "card is sent" notification? Also, did you have USPS informed delivery set up (and did it show the information for the combo card coming in the mail)?
Yes. Turns out it was in the informed delivery USPS site. It is under “packages” and it is better to log in via a web browser to see that. It is not a normal envelope. I’m assuming it must be signed for.
I received my “card is in production” early 4/10/2019.
And received “card has been shipped” yesterday - 4/16/2019.

Hey guys,
is there a timeline on when to expect expedite response from USCIS once we fax them the job offer/termination letter. I have created an online account but i don't see any case history except 'we have received your case' update. Thank you!
It depends on many variables. I don’t have a definitive answer. My whole process from expediting to receiving the EAD combo card (this friday) has been about a month. Almost 4 weeks, I did however, when the email came through about the RFE (proof) did not submit the email also. I resubmitted on the 28th of March. I also had my congresswoman working on my situation.

Omg ...41+ days? My future employer has already been so patient... i really hope at some point this week i get notified that this thing is being sent out at a minimum. Friday would make it 7 days since the status changed. Thanks for sharing your experience thus far.
Re: priority mail - if we get a tracking number for it then it would have to be something above the basic usps mail I assume.... who knows. If you received your previous ead's as regular mail, i dont see why it would be any different this time around.
I just got home from work and got the email notification that my card has been shipped. SO... thats 6 days since I got the produced notification.
I DID NOT get the text message letting me know that there was an update to my case, which is interesting - and inconsistent.

I thought it was a priority mail envelope? They don't scan those, only letter mail.
You might be right - does that mean a signature is required?
This will be my third EAD - OPT, STEM OPT and now AoS. The other two got mailed in regular envelopes.

Question is who is the shipper of record that usps will record? I can watch my informed delivery.
Intresting that you had the new site not update where mine did and the old site didn't. Maybe its in production but since only the old site shows it i don't realize...
I get pictures of all the mail that I am going to receive for that day - the envelop has USCIS on it.
I am waiting for 2 pieces currently, the interview time and date & the combo card.

Thanks for the quick and thorough reply!!!!
Nothing new on my end, but then again only got the "card being produced" on Saturday the 13th.
Yeah, from what I have read it seems like the production -> card mailed can be anything from 36 hours to 41+ days.
The majority of them seem to be within the 10 day mark though.
I think the thing that is a little frustrating for me is the approval date for the start of the card was 4/10 - but if you receive the card a month later you only get an 11mo. EAD vs. the 12month that you should be getting.
Also, I am supposed to travel for work on May 16, so I have my fingers crossed.

Hey - any changes yet on your end? Like the card has been mailed or a tracking number??
I also have a discrepancy between what the two sites say. The my.uscsis.gov has no updates....only updates on egov.uscis.gov like you.
No - nothing yet, just waiting for the status to update to "Card has been mailed" etc.
I am now at 6 days post I-765: "New Card is being produced", I-131 still says "Case was received".
- I am just being patient.
I am also keeping an eye on my USPS tracking just in case, I have read that some people have received the card without the shipping case status confirmation.
I received both letters for the I-765 & I-131 this weekend (13th). SO....
4/10 - Status changed to New Card is being produced
4/13 - Received approval letters for both I-765 & I-131 Combo Card
No changes on the my.uscis.gov website though.....

I hope I get something back soon.... I faxed my stuff on March 25 and all I've received so far is an email saying they received the documents I submitted. This email from Monday April 8 looks like the one they send you requesting the faxed information...this whole process is honestly so disheartening.
Did you involve your Congressman/Woman or Senator?
I applied for the expedite myself, and then also contacted my district's congresswoman.
-
One question that I do have for you all is about the two different websites.
My process:
F1 - STEM OPT - Married USC 12/08/2018. Applied for Adjustment of status Dec 31 - received Jan 2. Applied for AP expedite on March 28.
My EAD online status just changed on 4/10 to "New Card is Being Produced".
My.USCIS.gov website - All four forms that I submitted state "We received your case - You do not need to do anything at this time".
egov.uscis.gov website - States that "new card is being produced" for my EAD (I-765), and "Your case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" for my I-485.
Q// Does anyone else have inconsistencies between the two websites?
I am hoping that I will receive a combo card, as I have read other accounts of no updates to the travel document portion of their online cases.

Hi everyone,
I'd like to give you information about my expedite process so you can have an idea of how long everything is taking/what you get notifications for etc.
03/21/2019: Requested to have AP and EAD expedited on the phone to USCIS (separate processes). AP of the grounds of "humanitarian reasons" due to my university graduation ceremony and a culturally significant role that my mother was taking part in during the ceremony. EAD due to a job offer and "severe financial hardship" due to obligatory student loan repayments in my home country.
03/21/2019: Received email: "Upon receipt of your request for expeditious processing, your case was reviewed and a determination was made that we need additional information to make a decision regarding your request. Please fax supporting documentation to 816-251-2290. Please include this notice with your fax." This only mentioned the EAD request, so I was unsure if AP was also being considered at the same time. Faxed documents that afternoon. I included a cover letter outlining everything that was included in the fax (I combined documents for both AP and EAD). DID NOT RECEIVE NOTIFICATION THAT FAXED DOCUMENTS WERE RECEIVED. I called USCIS a few days later to ask whether I would, they said I wouldn't heard anything unless the expedite was approved or denied.03/27/2019: Received "New card ordered" notification via email (and assumed approval). Did not receive official letters on this until a few days later and therefore not totally sure that both AP and EAD were approved.
04/01/2019: Received "We mailed your new card" notification via email.
04/02/2019: Received "Your card was picked up by the post office" notification via email complete with USPS tracking number.
04/03/2019: Card was delivered to my lawyer's office. Picked up the combination AP/EAD card in person on 04/05/2019.
Hope that helps you guys with an expected timeframe, etc. My process seems to have been quite fast and straightforward. Although we have been using an immigration lawyer with all our forms, I submitted the expedite process myself on the phone. Let me know if you have any questions.
Was it a combo card? I am in the same boat, Personal financial loss was the criteria that I used. 4/10 it stated on my EAD work authorization case status that "Your New card is being Produced".
****Edit. I just re read your post. Apologies.

Yes mine was for AP as well! My status online for AP never changed and still haven't but I got the combo card! I got the notification that my card is being produced the 23rd if I remember correctly and then the 26th it was mailed, and I had it in hand the 29th
That is positive to know. I am glad to hear that. Thank you for your response.
I feel like I could qualify to be an Immigration Lawyer after this journey....

I placed an expedite request March 14th, by calling USCIS, on the 19th they looked at the expedite I believe because I got an email that day that the case was under review, and then completed according to my case history for my EAD. On the 23rd I got a notification that card was being produced. I never had to send in any evidence for Financial Loss to Company, which was my reason, so I'm not sure if they just didn't feel like they needed it because my case isn't that complicated (f-1, AOS via marriage, never been out of status, had EAD before) or if it ended up being normal processing for me.
I am in almost the exact same situation as you. F1 - STEM OPT - Married USC. Applied for Adjustment of status Jan 2. Applied for AP expedite on March 28.
My EAD online status just changed on 4/10 to "New Card is Being Produced".
Did you already receive your card? - was it for both EAD & AP?
I am somewhat confused because I needed my AP expedited, and applied for that. But my EAD status on uscis.gov shows that "New Card is Being Produced". I am ASSUMING that this is going to be a combo card. From browsing the forum it seems common place to have EAD status update, and nothing changes with the EAD status.
Just waiting for the status to change to "Card has been mailed" etc...
