I was missing my fiancé son’s birth certificate. I didn’t include him in the petition but they still asked for the birth certificate.

That sucks. Honestly there is so much information that is left unclear at the DR. I have done so much research and almost everything has some sort of different information than the other. I created an "After NOA2 for DR" and compiled all the information to help in this unclear process. I read somewhere that the child's passport is require even if not included in petition. I guess at least it was something simple for you. Good luck, it will happen soon!

Luckily they did not ask for the passport! But what i found very odd was that the consul asked us to email them the birth certificate instead of bringing it to the MBE as per usual. They haven’t responded to the email yet and we have not heard at thing from them.
