Thank you guys! My fiance does speak english and should be able to answer the questions at the custom. And yes, I meant the K1 Visa, not B1

Hi guys, I have a question that I'm not sure if there's an official answer to it:
I've heard from people it'd better to fly with my fiance to U.S. after the K1 Visa is approved (less complication at the custom). Is that correct or just a wishful thinking?

Thank you guys!

I see. Thank you!

Hi guys,
I have 2 questions about my K1 Visa, hopefully someone can answer them:
1. I just got the notification online that USCIS has received my I-129F package and will be sending me a "receipt notice." How do I know which service center my application is being sent to and does it matter (I saw online that CSC is faster than TSC)?
2. I saw some people included their I-134 in their I-129F package, is that necessary? I didn't find this requirement on the checklist from USCIS.
Appreciate the help!

You are missing 2 letters of intent to marry within 90 days. One from beneficiary, one from petitioner.
See https://www.uscis.gov/system/files_force/files/form/i-129finstr.pdf?download=1 and read what evidence to include.
Also make sure you are paying attention to this "within last 2 years" part. Pictures alone are usually not sufficient to prove the timeline.
Go through your 129F and make sure ALL relevant boxes are checked. Criminal, and IMBRA.
Thank you all for the reminders! My apology that I should've provided more details:
- Yes, we both have a letter of intent to marry.
- I have completed the I-129F form and both of us have not been married and we don't have any criminal record.
- We do have plane tickets, passport stamps and other materials to present other than the photos.
I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything

Thank you guys. One more question: We're about to send I-129F form out, according to the checklist and USCIS, this is all I need to give them for the first package:
1. Payment to USCIS
2. Cover letter
3. Form I-129F
4. Original statement
5. Proof of how we met in the past 2 years
6. One passport photo for both of us
7. Copy of the US Citizen's naturalization certificate
Am I missing anything? And do we need to provide anything to proof that we're both single?

- If it's related to or a continuation of another thread, then it's best to keep it in the existing thread. The commenters there would already be familiar with the history, and new members to the thread can read the history there. If it's an entirely new topic, a new thread is fine.

The I-129F (I-129 is a petition for an alien worker) is filed at the Dallas lockbox. See https://www.uscis.gov/i-129f. The precise address to use varies based on how you are sending it.
- Note that this is the lockbox facility that receives the packet. The I-129F will be sent to CSC for actual processing (it's not processed at the Texas Service Center...that's a separate facility than the lockbox).
"For U.S. Postal Service (USPS):
USCIS
P.O. Box 660151
Dallas, TX 75266
For FedEx, UPS, and DHL deliveries:
USCIS
Attn: I-129F
2501 South State Highway 121 Business
Suite 400
Lewisville, TX 75067"1. Thank you!
2. Is it better to file it through FedEx or UPS than USPS? Just curious about the chances of them losing my package.

Hi guys, I'm not familiar with the forum here, maybe you can help me:
1. Do I start a new topic every time I have a question about my K1 application or should I stick within just one thread?
2. From USCIS website I should be filing my I-129 at Dallas, Taxes, is that correct?

Got it. Thank you guys! I'll definitely reduce the length of my statement!

Hi guys,
I have drafted a declaration of how we met for our K1 visa but I'm not sure if this is good enough. I see on the forum there are some simple ones and some detailed ones... I even saw suggestion about describing what you like about each other... so I'm a little confused on this. Can you guys give me some suggestions or am I good to go? Much appreciated!
PS. We do have a separate file dedicated for photos and plane tickets for our dates.

Wait, how long is the process for K1 right now? I thought it is avg. 4-8 months? Does it make any difference that we're applying it in Taiwan (fewer applicants)?
-
Thank you guys! I know K1 will cost more but we really want her to be in the States as soon as possible...spoke with several lawyers and it seems like CR1 is taking longer than expected...is that true?

Hi everyone,
I'm new to the group and I have 2 questions but couldn't find a similar post in the group. So...
My fiance recently was denied access into the United States at SFO (San Francisco International Airport) and was sent back to Taiwan. She had a valid ESTA but was rejected because the officer doubted her intension, a poor suggestion by our lawyer (to use ESTA to enter the country)... We now need to apply for K1 but:
1. Will this ESTA refusal affect her K1 application? (the office at the custom told my fiance that she doesn't need to worry as long as I can apply K1 for her, but then again that's just he says she says.)
2. We never registered in Taiwan but we did have a ceremony because we both have grandparents over 90 years old whom won't be able to join our future wedding in the US. Will this "ceremony (it's been posted on facebook by our friends)" affect us?
Any answer will be appreciated!

Thank you guys for all your input! I understand there's no right and wrong on traveling with her and it's all personal preference (I do think she's more calm than I am when talking to the custom officer ).
I'm thinking of visiting her before the Visa approval and I might also accompany her entering US (we'll discuss this again).
PS. Yes, I did burn all my vacation days from my previous job visiting her multiple times every year (worth it ). I'm still accumulating PTO for the new job but will probably spend all of them on this upcoming visit.
Again, thank you for all the replies, much appreciated!
