DOS will use one of your self address envelope and you should know using tracking number once it is mailed. Have you got any update. I hope you will get it soon.
Yes I have received my letter from DOS. Once they send your Recommendation letter they will update your case.

Hi, or course you can. The problem is:
a) When you apply for a second J1 visa, you need to convince the visa interview officer that you don't have the intention to immigrate. This could be tricky because you applied for a waiver for the first J1 visa.
b) Some countries will only send out NOL once and won't give you an NOL if you apply a J1 waiver again. In that case, you couldn't apply for NOL based J1 waiver anymore. Check your government's policy.
I would say work visa such as H1b would be a better choice. We don't wanna go through all this J1 waiver thing again, right?
Thank you very much 👍🏿

Hi BorquMic, Did u receive any updates on ur case, when the recommendation letter was sent or did u receive the letter? Me too got favorable recommendation today but without the recommendation letter sent information. Is there anyone other than us with the same situation, will be really happy to know about the status of your case. Im little worried because of the no recommendation letter sent information on the DOS website. I also used the usps priority mail envelopes as my self addressed envelopes with tracking and also with stamps (in case), was trying to track the envelopes but no updates in usps system yet.
Below is my updated status
Yes Bro. They updated my status few days later to Recommendation (sent). So they update yours very soon.

Sam
Guys I have the same issue
I don’t know exactly what’s going on between USCIS and DOS. I called USCIS today concerning my receipt number and they have no idea what I am taking about.

Your case is within DOS timeline so there is no need to worry. Yes, wait is really frustrating, but nothing needs your action at this stage than waiting!
Did your case involved US govt funding? If not and every thing is correctly lined up, then you should receive their decision in next status update within DOS timeline. Applicants are getting waiver in 6-8 weeks so still you have time.
Of course Not. Thanks. I am patiently waiting.
