Attestation of birth is what he is bringing.  The embassy told me if you were born in the 80s it's acceptable because he does not have original birth cert. What did you end up doing to prove birth?

We are trying to figure this out now. We got the anestation of birth from the NPC. but the embassy said they still want the original birth certificate. But NPC is saying they only give the original birth certificate to people under 18 years old. 

We took the original one that was issued two weeks after my birth from Lagos state to the embassy for interview. For AOS after I arrived to US we sent 1. Age declaration from NPC 2. Attestation of birth from NPC 3. Two affidavits from two senior members in my family confirming my birth 4. My baptismal certificate 5. The original birth certificate issued at birth to USCIS because they refused just the original certificate. 

So I'll advice if you don't have the original birth certificate, do 1-4 and the embassy should accept it. Good luck

I have my interview on the 6th November am not from Ghana 

Its good to update your timeline. But it all depends. I have heard of some people in administrative processing for months due to having multiple police clearances. But if it says READY then it should be issued soon. You should email the embassy where you had the interview.

hi, gigi my approval notice expires 10/25/2019 and i was told that the would validate it. just trying to verify that and how do i get it validated
