  1. I was thinking this landlocked would only be until approved then change of status. But of course it's going complicated when dealing with US immigration. I should of done the other route with the Hollywood producers. Long story.
  2. Yeah I really wasn't understanding that part. Blahhh. I never heard of such a thing but I guess it's a matter now. I'll just file from outside. Solves everything.
  3. So new info now is if I leave the country after getting approved I lose my E2 status because it was filed inland while in the USA. Rules!!!! Blah. I guess better to do it from outside and it's a 4 to 6 month wait only. Seems less complicated and less bs to deal with.
  4. I plan on investing a large amount ($150k) If it's to little then I'll just buy the warehouse but if I am spending $500k+ then just do EB5 but that's down the road I plan on growing this business. But first I wanna get my foot in the door and start. If you see problems with it let me know. Because most get approved with under $150k. So need more and hire more folks is what you are saying?
  5. Oh yeah I spoke to him today and he explained to me more in details. I was just getting worried because of other info given by others here on the site.
  6. Yes the office + storage will be probably less at the very start until I grow it to a good level after sometime. I am looking to drop $150k in total because I still have to send the money to buy the products in China. I can do as high as $400k. But that's a bit risky. Baby steps! $150k is fine I believe. I could be wrong. If so it's fine to be wrong but costly in the end right?
  7. I don't mind being landlocked at all. It's only for under 1 year term. From start to finish 4 or 5 months tops? So if I get approved I'd still need to do a change of status on visiting to E2? Or doesn't apply to Canadians?
  8. Yeah sorry I don't know how to change the flag. So yeah coming in with my wife as a visitor, then buying/leasing what needs to be done after registering a LLC for that state. Hiring 1 person for sure along with 2 others if needed. To expend the business. Getting a office location for sure. And renting out some kind of storage place for all my products that I would be selling. And that's pretty much it. I was told you can file after 90 days of entering and just last night after posting here I just got word you can do some EXPRESS or whatever it's called to get an answer within 2 or 3 weeks or less if you pay extra for this type of service. That's all sorry to sound stingy with the details. lol Sorry about that.
  9. Finding these people for that sort of a thing is a needle in the haystack. Visitors visa from Canada with Canadian citizenship. No B1.
  10. Well no I seen that part but I guess you can file if lawfully in the country? I am missing something I take it from your statement.
  11. This one says yes on the link provided but it could be confusing. ####### maybe I need another person to hire. Any suggestions?
  12. https://www.uscis.gov/working-in-the-united-states/temporary-workers/e-2-treaty-investors Who May File for Change of Status to E-2 Classification If the treaty investor is currently in the United States in a lawful nonimmigrant status, they may file Form I-129 to request a change of status to E-2 classification. If the desired employee is currently in the United States in a lawful nonimmigrant status, the qualifying employer may file Form I-129 to request a change of status to E-2 classification on the employee’s behalf.
  13. yes I am hiring legal help I am not doing this on my own. Is it possible to file for the E2 from within the USA or no?
  14. I am not doing this on my own. I am paying someone who is a attorney for sure. I plan to go t the US and start up the business and file for the E2 once there. Is this a bad route?
  15. Oh okay I understand. I have no clue what RFE means. Can you please explain an E2 is a visa no? Non-immigrant visa I believe that doesn't lead to a green card.
  16. Yeah I think Premium processing is the best way to go for myself. To avoid all those other issues and yes I understand I can't leave until it's approved or denied I believe. Just like any other visa. Thank you. For sure I will.
  17. I will just be doing "Premium Processing" to avoid all those other issues.
  18. Yes I know it doesn't auto approve you but skips the steps of extending a visa while you wait etc. Seems like a better option. I have a 2nd citizenship not just Lux one.
  19. They as in the gov for processing you can pay extra to get an answer within 15 days for your business. That's what I mean. I was going to do extensions but forget that if there is an option to get an answer quicker. I know right? LUL WUT?!?!?! Yup! HA HA HA. No idea what it's called.
  20. I won't they got a faster way of doing the visa if you just pay extra. I had no clue. saves me a bunch of bs and time.
