I am ready file I-130 petition for my sister in Singapore. I want to understand the process flow after I file I-130 for her, so that track her application. where does the receipt notice gets sent to me or to my sister in singapore?
Is there any number generated that I can check online? I am worried because she may not be at same address after 12-15 years.
Also, do I need to provide financial support document 864 with I-130 or at the time my sister's interview?

Just realized its visa number. The original passport that contained visa page was expired so CBP officer had just put the visa number on a stamp on a most recent passport!

One of my relative came to US on B2 visa and cbp officer wrote class of visa as B2 wrote a number on Passport along with expected departure date. Any one is aware what that number is?

Thanks everyone for your input:
I found extra information on SSS.gov website:
https://www.sss.gov/Home/Men-26-and-OLDER
for men aged 31 and older failure to register regardless of circumnstances is OKAY. SSS is providing a template later that can be shown to USCIS officer if asked if one is male and above 31.

Not sure anyone ever used this.

I was 25 years old when I came to the US on J-1 visa and remained in J-1 status until my 26th birthday. I answered "No" to the Part 12 44A question in N-400. I was asked the same question at my interview. I explained that I was in J-1 status until my 26th birthday and showed a letter from the Selective Service System. The officer said "fine" and didn’t correct my N-400.
https://www.sss.gov/Portals/0/PDFs/Status.pdfJust bring all paperwork related to F-1, OPT, H-1B and your old & current passports to your interview. USCIS knows all of your US immigration history, anyway.
Thank you very much Perfect!

That paragraph implies to me they’ll give you the leeway if they happen to interview you basically on the date you become eligible (as they talk about the 3 months being within the 5 year eligibility period). For most people that’s not going to be a consideration.
The instructions on the n400 itself clearly say . “You have lived within the state or USCIS district where you claim residence for at least 3 months prior to filing;”
I’ve seen cases reported where people waited months for processing then got denied for not living where they were 3 months prior to filing. Not worth it in my opinion. Then you gotta file and wait all over again.
thanks , better be careful and stay I guess. My current employer is a pain but will stay another six months or so before looking for new job.

3 months prior to the date you file (whether or not you choose early filing).
Thanks, I am confused about the text in this link, and not able to understand exactly what it says:
https://www.uscis.gov/policymanual/HTML/PolicyManual-Volume12-PartD-Chapter6.html
the reference 15 links to CFR:
https://www.ecfr.gov/cgi-bin/text-idx?&node=se8.1.316_12
Not sure what constitutes examination of application.

1. Certain applicants are eligible to file 90 days before the required period of continuous residence as a Lawful PR.
2. Applicant must have lived in the state or USCIS district for at least 3 months prior to filing.
Based on these two requirements I am confused as to whether one is required to be present 3 months prior to 90 day window (hence 6 months prior to actual 3 year/5 year anniversary), or one has to be present in the state of filing at least three months at the time of naturalization.
I am asking this since I am contemplating moving to another state and my early filing date is approaching in next month. So, at this point is it too late to move or I can still move and file from new state knowing that I will be there at least 3 months prior to the Naturalization Ceremony.
I apologize if this is already discussed in earlier thread, in which case please share the link. Thanks in advance!

Did you check the SS website if you registered ? In my case I was registered even though I wasn't aware of it, I think it was the DMV who enrolled me when I went for my Drivers license at age 22. So check if you did and you can avoid writing an explanation.
https://www.sss.gov/Registration/Check-a-Registration/Verification-Form
Thanks, I checked and found message saying:
"""" Based on the information you submitted (information listed below), a registration record cannot be found for this individual. """"I guess since I was always non-immigrant till 27th birthday, i may not have been enrolled. -
My question is regarding how to write nice explanation , would love to hear if anyone has provided letter explaining the situation.

F1 students are non-immigrants, and as such are exempt from registering for the Selective Service. In fact in N400 application form , page 16 it says
Are you a male who lived in the United States at any time between your 18th and 26th birthdays? (This does not include living in the United States as a lawful nonimmigrant.)
but it I could totally be wrong.
That is my understanding as well. But guide asked for some explanation along with application.

I have a question about selective service for N-400. I read the guide and it says one should register for Select service before age 26. I was in USA on student visa since age 22 and when I got my GC I was 27. I was not allowed to register for Selective service as student and then on h1-b visa. Selective service website says I can not register now. Naturalization guide says that I need to provide an explanation. I am wondering if anyone had a similar issue. Is there any format template that I can use? should I call Selective service office and ask for some documentation as to why I was not eligible, etc. Any guidance would be helpful since I heard people's N-400 is getting delayed due to this issue. So, I want to make sure I do all paperwork properly.
