I was travelling back and forth from the US and Canada over the last 3 years visiting fiance and showing my horses (NOTE - I was not working). I got nabbed going across to the US (I'm Canadian) last june. The lovely border guard informed me that I had been in the US too much and tossed me back Canuck side. Initially they told me I had a 5 year ban but I got a letter in the mail about a week later that said they were not inacting the 5 year ban and I could travel to the US if proper ties to Canada were shown....
My question is - is this going to affect my visa?

I'm a March filer too! Have my NOA1 already (YA VERMONT!) just waiting for the NOA2....

Thank you for all the POSITIVE replies...
I can read thank you! AND there is a lot of information out there, and it doesn't all seem to have the same answer....
I just wanted to get the pulse of people who are actually going through this... I was hoping to hear from people who are filing from the same Country CS etc.
Again, thank you for all the positive replies, I am new to this and appreciate the support!
Haven't you ever heard the term .. ."There are no stupid questions?"

I think I love you.
I was really losing hope - I had to file for divorce (We've been seperated for over 7 years) prior to beginning the visa journey - so it's been a long road already.
Thank you for the glimmer of hope!!!

My fiance (He's American, I'm Canadian) filed our I-129 last week, we got out NOA1, just a few days later.... I checked out the Vermont SC and it said they're just processing forms from August? How reliable is this information?? I'm trying to plan my life, so any info/help you can give would be appreciated!! I'm very new to this process and still trying to figure it out....
ALSO - is there anything else I should be doing to help speed the process along?? Stuff I can get done ahead of time?
Will being refused entry to the US affect my visa?

Thanks! I knew they'd probably ask about, and have no intentions of lying about it (It will no doubt show up on their all powerful, all seeing computer screen anyway! ). Just didn't know if it could negatively affect my visa in some way.....
THANKS!
