First try submitting an inquiry using this link above to the Ombudsman; submit your request online.  If you have already submitted online but did not receive a confirmation email with your case number, the submission did not go through.  Please try again.

If you have not submitted Form DHS-7001, Case Assistance Form, online or made other arrangements with our office to file on paper, we will not respond to any emails.

Thanks for this. It's really helpful. Unfortunately their website says only to contact them after 60 days after normal processing times. I guess if we still have got nowhere in 50 days then we can contact them.

Do they tell you anything over the phone when you call on an update of the inquiry? They are really taking so long with cases it's insane. My guess is USCIS started approving cases so early that it backlogged NVC even further. I hope you get yours soon!

    Thanks

My fiance has been calling them, but they haven't told him very much at all. NVC gave him the email address to send the NOA2.

USCIS told me they hadn't sent my case either and later that day I got my case number from NVC.... In my experience, the call center at USCIS actually has no idea about the cases and when they're shipped out.... My personal advice would be to keep calling NVC.  If it's been 6 weeks, I think you can email them a scanned copy of your NOA2.

Thanks - that's good to know.

We have already emailed a scan of our NOA2, but (so far) no response, not even an automated reply.

That is an incredibly long time.  For comparision, we got NOA2 on January 18, and NVC case on Feb 14.    I checked some of the other timelines from January, and there were two that exceeded 40 days.    There seems to have been a lull toward the end of January where they were taking a particularly long time............35-40 day range.   But you're well above that.   You may have to talk to USCIS, who typically don't offer much good info.  But that might be a good first step.

    Thanks.

We have talked to both USCIS and NVC, but essentially the only people you can talk to have no power to help. There doesn't seem to be a way of getting things moving.

  5. Hello everyone

I'm not sure if anyone will be able to help, but we got our NOA2 on 18th January and NVC have not recieved it. USCIS say they haven't sent it to them, but don't give a reason. We have been given an email address to ask NVC to research what has gone wrong, but so far not even an automated response from them.

It's so frustrating and depressing. The people at NVC and USCIS just don't seem to want to know.

    Thanks
