  1. Thank you! Wish you the best of luck too! Perseverance and tenacity is key especially when it comes to uscis!
  2. March 2019. Sorry for the late response. I’ve not really had time to log in recently.
  3. Sorry I meant - I’ve been waiting since August 2016
  4. Hello friends, I am preparing for my medical exam and my interview for I-485 application has finally been scheduled. so, hang in there. I’ve been waiting since August 2020. For anyone who has already gone through the I-485 interview process, how was it? What was your experience like? How did you prepare? How long did it take? What types of questions were you asked during the interview? I have prepared my list of documents but I am not sure regarding the types of questions to expect during my interview. Many thanks for your support. It’s been a long journey and please trust that your time will come.
  5. Yes, I’m also curious to know the answer. How long does it usually take to get the receipt notice for the renewal of EAD/I-765 application at this time?
  6. Thank you, will do. Yes, I will submit copies of my I-485 application, EAD card and receipt notice as evidence. I recall paying the filing fee for each I-765 extension I did. I really appreciate you taking the time to give me 1 on 1 feedback. Have a wonderful day. I appreciate you! 💐
  7. Thanks. Will do. Wish I had this same information give to me by my attorney. Smh But, I’m super glad that I have you all to give me valuable feedback and perspective when I need it! Take care. Stay safe! 🙏
  8. Thank you guys. I appreciate you! It’s important to hear from people who are in the same boats and who are willing to share their perspective and experiences.
  9. Thank you. I thought so - I was worried about a gap in employment because I saw people saying that it took them 3 to 6 months, if not more to get a reply etc.
  10. Yes, thank you. It’s been a long and exhausting process. I will do so. Thank you for your kind response.
  11. Hi @sandranj - I would really appreciate your input regarding this matter based on your observations and experience. Thank you! 🙏
  12. I would go with the resident attorney sandra here. Her username is @sandranj.
  13. Hi everyone. Hope you all are doing well. What advice would you give to someone who has not received any updates/news from USCIS - yet, for the I-485 application timeline for my borough in NYC they are already processing October 2017. My application was received in August 2017. Is it a good idea to be proactive and make a case inquiry with the USCIS or write a letter to the Vermont Service Center. Should I contact my Congressman? I’m not sure what to do. I filed 1-360, I-765 & I-485 in August 2017 and my VAWA was approved on March 2019. I’m in NYC. I’m uncertain about what next steps to take. Given that there was already a backlog in cases previously which has only intensified with Covid-19 - what is the best course of action to take? My EAD expires in March 2020. I think I can only apply 90 days in advance. I hope that if I file for EAD extension in Jan, I can get the receipt notice in a timely manner. I would appreciate any advice or feedback from you guys. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration. 🙏 Have a good night.
  14. Hi. Hope you are doing well. I wanted to share this with you. If it’s outside the case processing time, you might be able to submit a case inquiry. I’m hoping that everyone that submitted something in 2017 or earlier gets an update and the case goes to the next level. I read that they starting on June 4th, certain USCIS field office are going to resume their functions and they will start to do interviews. So, let’s hope and pray for good news. Stay healthy & safe, folks. It’s a very challenging time for many people. Take care.
