As a us citizen who is married to a Nigerian and been through the process. .. i highly advise you to go for spousal visa and not your finance visa. Your odds are better.  I been married to my husband 5 yrs now, i married him on first visit that i stayed a month. .came back to USA for 4 months and returned until we left together in feb 2016. We are of the same age, have two children together,  in lived in naija for almost 2yrs with him and we still went through hell n back to finally end the process. Naija is a high alert country n you can thank your bros for that for marrying women the age to be grandma lol... we filed i130 ourselves, used attorney for visa part, n everything else we did ourselves. She deff needs to come more n longer stays,  lots of pics,  start saving cards ya'll give each other, print pics, pics with family n friends,  get her traditional wears done n pics showing her embracing your culture. .. but if any advice i give do not go for k1 n waste that time. ..9/10 it will be denied based on country alone.  N ppl don't know what they are talking about.. they can deny based on age if they feel is fraud relationship n do not have to explain reasoning why they made decision.  Good luck n prayers sent my brother

I'm telling ya!!! I been through cancer n this has me a million times more stressed n worried .. I love my husband's country, lived there for 2 1/2 of our 5 year marriage... But I want our children schooling and raised here ..

We have never filed taxes together and i was super worried)    I sent mine to their physical street address instead of the po box the got it on the 14th my status was updated at 430 reflecting that and was approved on the 20th less than 4 business days

as I recently posted, we got a RFE notice online and reviewed offical copy today in the mail... It says they recieved :

-Our daughters birth certificate

-first page of lease (with address and our signatures)

-first page of H&R block showing tax preparation

-letters from other parties

-prescription label showing and expected birth of a child (we lost the child at 4months pregnant)

Obviously, since receiving RFE they were not satisfied..

these are the things I've collected to send with RFE package:

-Copy of both of our drivers licenses with front and back view

-His employee info sheet with me listed as husband emergency contact

-His 401k with me listed as beneficiary

-His union health insurance with me listed under the plan.

-Copy of life insurance policies with each other listed as beneficiaries.

-Copies front/back of our insurance cards

-2018,2017,2016 tax years 1040s with 2018 W-2s (can't find other years W-2s)

-2 years of our bank account transactions and statements

-1year of credit card transactions and statements

-Letter from landlord saying we have occupied or rental and paid rent on time

-copy of lease with all pages

-consumers energy bill (electricity) in both of our names

-trash pick up bill in both of our names

-statement from State farm insurance with our address and us both be drivers on the policy

-state farm bill addressed to husband with it showing him paying disability insurance on me as well as homeowners/rental

-His student loan with our address listed (his name only)

-tons of pictures 

-2 more affidavits

-letter from OB stating I'm scheduled for C-section on the 19th of April

we didn't have many of these the first time ...we were just getting settled and starting a family ... Is there anything else I should send .. we don't have many bills in both names and or vehicles are registered to either him or i . 

btw my husband is the one who is filing to remove restrictions... I'm American born citizen. Someone please help us!!!!!

Beyond frustrated... We received a RFE online today and waiting for package in the mail... We sent in our daughter's birth certificate, lease, joint taxes, car registrationsand insurance with same address, positive pregnancy test result paperwork from doctor... We just finally got health insurance through his work on both of us as well as life insurance with each other being the beneficiaries, and gonna have him put me on his bank account ... What else should we send them, should we send pictures of family vacations? Should we get more letter affidavits, what else should we send them? I'm about to give birth in 3 weeks and so stressed now I can't take much more...

How do you see this info.. were Nov  and still nothing has been heard since our transfer on jan 11 from CA to TX

Our case got Transferred same time as yours and is 18059 we have 2yr old n pregnant due next month  n im stressing myself so bad... im scared of the what ifs n having another child. . No rfe no interview just told they transferred us the same day n nothing more. . I'm going nuts

Any updates with wac1805 cases. . Was transferred to TX from CA Jan. 11th

i got the transfer letter. It took a long time to arrive for some reason. 

Jus5 got our transfer letter jan. 2019 .. haven't heard anything since.  Haven't requested roe or interview

Do you follow the group for when you sent in your ROC so you can see where other people are who filed the same time as you? Might be good for you to do that.

 

Remember he can also file for his citizenship 90 days before his 3 year GC anniversary even though the ROC has not been approved yet.

I just joined today how do i follow for others in my timeframe 

So we sent in our i751, did our  biometrics appointment,  got the 18 month extension for processing,  and have not heard from them since appointment last April (2018) until January of this year.  They sent us a reciept letter stating they have transferred or case from CA to TX and now under their jurisdiction.  My questions are is this normal procedure,  is going on 15 months since we sent in i751 proofs and paperwork,  does this mean we will be called up for an interview soon or asked for more evidence hence they transferred our case?  Could this mean a denial?  I'm getting worried,  we sent in all proofs requested, had an immigration attorney through this process,  but the wait and not hearing from them besides being transferred is killing me.  We are due to give birth in April and already have one. .I can't imagine being here with out him or the pain our daughter will endure  if so.  Has this happened to anyone before?  What was the outcome?  #stressedpregnantwife
