Hello Maria, I’m actually wanting to do the exact same thing you are doing. We are just waiting for our interview win Juarez but I’m wanting to see if maybe I can get advance parolee and fix my status from the USA since I have 2 little ones. How long did it take you to get the advance parolee?

    It took 6.5 months

  2. Hello,

I want to withdraw or close my case with NVC since I will be adjusting my status here in the US after getting (advance parole-parolee status)

One of the questions on the I-485 application says" Have you ever applied for an immigrant visa to obtain permanent residents statys at a US embassy or US consulate abroad? YES OR NO

I have gotten my I-130 approved already but got a NVC case number how would I go on to close that case . can I send my adjustment of status packet before closing it my NVC case ?

Short answer is yes because once you leave the US for the visa interview in Mexico, you will be living abroad and not in the US.  I advise getting a qualified co-sponsor in the US prior to leaving for your interview.  DACA situations are often complicated, so I also suggest consulting with an experienced immigration attorney in the US who knows everything about DACA beneficiaries who are applying for green cards via marriage to a USC.  Do this before you leave to avoid potential problems.  You've already mentioned in previous posts a waiver application so based on that you more than likely are not eligible for adjustment of status in the US which is why you are doing consular processing.  Did you enter the US illegally?  Specifics matter for DACA situations which is why a good lawyer can help.  Good luck!

This is incorrect I just talk to an immigration Lawyer about this he said this is not true. So I wont be needing a cosponsor even if Im doing consular process. Thank you anyways.

is this because I will be doing consular process what if I was doing the adjustment here in US?

"If you included the income of the intending immigrant who is your spouse (he or she would be counted in Part 5., Item Number 1.), you must provide evidence that his/her income will continue from the current source after obtaining lawful permanent resident status, and the intending immigrant must provide evidence that he or she is living in your residence. "

This is what the form says

  5. Hi,

I received my welcome letter on my email from NVC yesterday 5/17/2020 I know the nvc fees are good for a year , but is it from the day they gave me a case number or the date of the payment receipt ? If the payment for the fees expire in a year do I have to pay for them again ?

  6. My marriage license does not show my middle initial in the cert. only first and last name, How can i Fix this? will it cause a problem when going to my visa appointment in Juarez? My Mexican passport has my middle initial , but I couldn't renew my Mexican passport at the Consulate with my married last name because they didn't want to accept my marriage license because it was missing my middle initial in it.

    thanks
