  1. I got my girl a computer and dsl line in Manila. We both bought usb headsets made by logitech. I remoted into her computer with techinline.com and setup skype for her. Then we made a phone call over skype. It was perfect. Now I wont have those 400 dollar phone bills anymore.

Just an FYI to the group......

  2. What a horror story...I commend your patience! A touch at this point is great news. Although there have been people who have been touched then no action for monthes, the majority recieve an RFE or approval within a week or two of the touch. Keep us posted. Hopefully an approval will follow soon.

When you want something done right do it yourself. Forget the lawyers.

  3. This is my best guess so dont quote me......

When you send off 129 it arrives at csc. They mark it as received. Then they store it at a whse and it gets touched because of that move. Then when your name is up on the list they retrieve it (another touch). Then one more touch as it arrives back at csc. Then another touch as they look at it and approve or rfe.

I got touched today!!!! I was excited until I saw 3 March filers got approved today!! Congrats!!! I hope this does not mean RFE!!!! I leave for Russia May 31 for 3 months!!!! Come on CSC!!! Spit it out!!! Hopefully we will get approved this week. Then I have a very good chance she will come home with me!!!

Now I check my email every !@$#@# second!!! Thanks CSC!!

  4. You really don't think I should just send all this stuff when the case number gets to us? I'm worried that the petition will get rejected on the grounds that we didn't provide basic evidence of our relationship.

wouldn't this avoid that, as opposed to getting rejected and doing it all again, I really don't mind if it delays our process as long as it gets us in...

Call the service center and ask them, but I would wait.

  5. I pay five cents a text to send to her. I use another phone with a sim card from the Philippines (Smart Buddy) which receives text for free, and costs her one peso to send. The extra phone paid for itself in a week. hahaa

This idea looks great. Now I just have to get a qwerty phone to type the msgs in.

  6. Im trying to add the case number. It wont take the whole number. Do I drop the "WAC-" from the beginning of the number? If I do that it still has room for one more number (an extra character of space in the fill in bar). Im confused.

Or do I remove the xxx-xx-xxx-xxxxx hyphens?

Never mind I removed the - - - - and that did the trick. I wasnt sure if I could correct it if I typed it in wrong so I did not want to do it wrong.

  7. Just an FYI to those who might be filling out the 129f forms.

Why on Gods green earth the admins here don't update their forms is a big mystery. Many of the sample forms have errors as well. Buyer beware!

If I recall correctly, the adminstrators have a note posted that says to always check the USCIS site for the latest forms. This forum is here as a tool and a guide but ultimately the responsibility of ensuring the proper forms are obtained is ours and not the administrators. Just my two cents.

    Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Well lets just take a look over at the down load page and see if your statement holds water.

DOH! I see NO NOTICE of OUTDATED FORMS there. Guess your wrong on this one

  8. Using the form on this site for the fiance letter of intent, I noticed a small detail that almost led me to make a mistake. The form online if for the alien fiance, so it say you inted to marry within 90 days "my arrival."

But if the USC is filling it out it should be changed to MY arrival.

Did anyone else notice this? Or am I making some kind of mistake.

I, USC, do hereby state that I am legally able and willing to marry Alien, and intend to do so within 90 days of HIS/HER arrival into the US using the K-1 visa.

I, Alienb], do hereby state that I am legally able and willing to marry USC, and intend to do so within 90 days of MY arrival into the US using the K-1 visa.

Your right. The form should be drafted as MY/HER/HIS arrival.

Many forms here have mistakes in them. If you look at the I-129f it has "other" checked for form to file with and below it has "naturalization" checked.
