Can someone tell me what to expect during the oath ceremony? Did they take your green card back? Did they give you something instead? Thank you.

Hi, i waited 5 months after my interview and the oath ceremony appointment finally came. I didn't do anything else.

Hi, I don't know if anyone is in the same situation. I had my interview back in May 2021, did well and the officer told me it would be only 2-3 weeks wait for the oath ceremony. I am now waiting 4 months and haven't received my oath ceremony. Is it normal? I am in Philadelphia office. Thank you.

I just want to share the good news that I have passed my citizenship interview. The officer congratulated me and issued the recommendation for approval. It was super quick for me. I went in at 9.15 and was out the door by 9.38. Everyone at the USCIS office was super nice. They have an officer who went in and out to instruct people where to go, he even brought me to the cubical for my interview. I didn't expect to have the interview via video call. But it was fast, easy, and safe. I already got my 10 year green card, but still brought all the additional documents just in case. The officer didn't ask for any extra docs, went straight to the test. I just want to say that I am super happy with today. I hope everybody else will have the same result and get your citizenship soon.

I will have my n400 interview next week. And I applied for it through my marriage. I already received my 10 green card. Does anyone know if I have to bring my spouse with me?

Today my status changed to Notice Explaining USCIS Actions was mailed. Could anyone please explain what it is? I read and it said it might be a denial. I am worried sick.

Hi, I haven't submitted my application yet but really want/need to. I submitted my 10 year GC application on November 2018, did biometric in July 2019, and haven't received any correspondences since then except for emails saying that they are still working on my case. Should I submit my N400 now? We've married for 4 years and it's been more than 3 years since 2 year green card. Thank you.

And a lot of people are still on the same boat as you are, As long as you still didn’t hear anything then there is nothing to worry about... but what you can do is try to call them and ask for a second tier officer and ask about your status 

Thank you for your reply. I'm just worried as I know Nebraska has been really fast on approving lately. I emailed them a missing notice request 3 days ago and asked if they needed anything from me, and I received a response the very next day (which surprised me) saying that my case was in line for an officer to review. Hopefully everyone will get a desired result  for the upcoming Christmas.

Hi, I've been waiting for any updates since my fingerprint back in July. I submitted the application in November 2018. My service center is Nebraska. Is there anyone still waiting for Nebraska? I start to really worry since I've heard anything from them for a while. 

I am a Nebraska applicant. I got my biometric done in July and my status has been " Fingerprint was reviewed" since then. Anyone in the same boat?

I completed my biometric last Friday but my status still shows "My case was received." My service center is Nebraska. Anyone in the same situation?

Is there anyone from LIN center that hasn't received their biometric appointment? I requested a lost receipt and on May 1 someone replied that they have sent another notice to me, but I haven't received any.

My status online still saying "your case was received" and I already got my extension letter.

FYI - Received a new NOA from USCIS stating that they will reuse our previously captured biometrics and we do not need to reappear for new biometrics but our fee will not be refunded.

HI Eddy, Congrats on receiving a statement from the USCIS. 

Did you make an e-request about biometric appoinment or notify them? I am just wondering if the USCIS will automatically send an NOA about biometric appoinment to everyone.

It isn't necessary that you'll even get a biometrics appointment. If your biometrics are current in their system then they might skip it. At least that is my understanding. You can contact them to find out the details.

 

Also, based on how long it took them to process our NOAs, I am not expecting ours to arrive anytime soon.

Should I call and ask if they've ever sent me a biometric appoinment? I registered for text notification and I checked online but no update besides your case is received. 

Hi, USCIS received my package on Nov 13, check cashed Nov 19. After make an e request on Dec 14 and got my NOA on Jan 5. But I haven't received any biometric appointment. My center is LIN. Have anyone from LIN receive their biometric appointment?

I just called them tonight. Mine said a receipt was sent out November 13, and she said since it's less than a month, there's nothing they could do. I don't know if I should wait few more days to pass the 1 month or I should call them again.

My service center is Nebraska too, and it looks like it takes about 5 weeks to actually receive a notice (take a peak at the October threat)
