Hello everyone! I just received the update “Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview” after receiving a RFIE on Dec 10 for my birth certificate. They received the response on Dec 28, so it took less then 3 weeks for Uscis to review and approve the case. I wish for all of you out there who got RFEs a quick resolution of this inconvenience and that you can get quickly your ead or interviews!

Like what @oflyingbunnyo said, seeing approvals and updates here and there (it may not be for our/your case) still gives us some excitement and positive vibes which we really need in this long and tedious immigration journey. Got the letter in the mail today! 😁

Sorry about your rfe. I received one on 12/10 and after 5 days we found the letter in the mailbox. The reason is that my birth certificate didn’t have my parents names on it. I hope it’s an easy fix. (they seem to send a lot of rfes lately )

Just got my interview notice in the mail, my interview will be on January 15th

That’s what happened to me. I am going to respond to my RFE next week. 
This RFE will make the EAD process stop  till once they receive and review the RFE respond. 

Hi fellow October filers. I was checking (as I'm sure most of us are doing almost every day) my uscis status online and I found out that I received a Request for Initial Evidence. We're obviously pretty bummed as we really made sure to include all possible evidences, but do you guys have any idea how this will slow down the process of receiving the EAD combo card / Interview? I still don't know the reason of the RFIE. Thank for your help
