  1. I need to find a new card company. The one I used for the past 10 months (WPC) I had to fight tooth and nail to get them after maybe $1000 spent. They said it will be the ONLY and last time I can request them... they said its too expensive to pay their employees for that.., LOL! no more money from me! anyways...

anyone use a good company that offers call logs without hassle? thanks so much!

  2. my understanding is the january 13th date just means that's the oldest NOA2 they are working on.probably someone with a RFE that is still being processed. they are also working on others with newer dates.

    Chris

Thanks Chris - If I may ask, how did you get to figure that out, about that date being the oldest? Oh, and I have been meaning to ask this, what's a RFE?

    RFE = Request for Evidence
  3. I sent mine on July 27th, it was delivered on the 28th according to USPS online tracking, yet the hardcopy return receipt was stampted the 30th.

I still have not yet gotten my NOA1 nor have I had my check clear. Depending on when you believe they truely received it, 28th or 30th, it has been 2 weeks since either today (Sat) or will be 2 weeks Monday that they have had my submission.

Janaus, I'm confused as to your dates on the spreadsheet. Please confirm. Says yours was received on the 27th? yet your priority date is the 18th?

    Hi Arrta,

I'm a confused too, not sure where you are reading the priority date? I missed it on the spreadsheet..my info hasn't been updated on that yet. All I know is what I put on my timeline underneath.

I mixed up your information with that of the person you quoted. My bad.

STILL waiting on my check or NOA1.. And I'm gonna be on a business trip Mon - Wed so I wont be able to check my mail.

Anyone know what there is to do in Bowling Green, KY this time of year? I'm headed to Western Kentucky University to do a product installation.

they have cave city or somethin like that, they also have a small amusement park, and not too far from Mammoth cave.

  4. Hi all,

I mailed my 129f packet on 7/25/07 to the Vermont Center. I confirmed reciept on 7/27/07...I still haven't received an NOA1 yet!! Am I just being impatient? I see that majority of recent 129f filers received their NOA1's within a week. Now I'm getting worried that I did something wrong! I want to call, but my fiance thinks if I start bothering them now, they will for sure put it at the bottom of the pile!

Any help or advice anyone can give me on this would be appreciated!

Thanks and have a great day! :D

Mine took a whole month (check to be cashed) and I sent it in June to Texas

  5. having the two dates is fine - to avoid people entering the wrong information - but the calculations should use the 'correct' one, IMHO (ie NOA1) :)

Yeah having date sent should definitely be listed, but it shouldn't be a factor impacting the calculation of adjucation date at all. Captain Ewok could probably just change the calculation settings (if thats what you call them lol) without affecting the info that people already enter anyways

  6. That is probably true in some cases and something that I have thought about before. The original thinking is that in most cases the receiving and processing (issuing an NOA1) for everyone is about this same and thus by using the sent day it would give a more tangible time that people would understand more without needing to know the inner details of the process (in essense all someone needs to know is when they mailed it and they would get a rough date based on the timeline data of when people in similar situations are getting approved (time frame wise)). I am open to changes though and welcome the feedback :).

I think it just makes a lot more sense to either start with Date received or NOA1... I actually considered putting a false "sent" date and keeping it that way just so that I will be more accurate compared to the time between sent and received that 99% of other VJ'ers have had. I know if it is changed maybe the 1st week or 2, people would freak out because of their timelines, but in the long run it will be a lot better and more accurate IMO.

  7. As some of you know, I sent my I-129f on June 21st, and the USCIS didn't "receive" it until JULY 18th, and check was cashed on July 21st, a full month from when i mailed it.

I did a quick test to see what the adjucation date would be if I changed my "sent" date to something similar to other VJ'ers.

When I normally have June 21 as the sent date the adj. date is October 27th (was 17th earlier today)

When I change it to being sent on July 14th for example (as some people have their package received within 4 days) It changes my Adjucation date to November 20th.

I know it would most likely freak some people out, but I think the algorithm or whatever you call it should not have "sent date" as a factor, but rather have "date received by USCIS"

I think this would be extremely more accurate. especially for people in cases similar to mine...

  9. anyone from this site who filed their I-129F this June? ours were mailed june 10. we have received our noa1 already and now waiting for the noa2.

june filers this is our thread. :)

It's nice to have a forum like this to see how others are doing. Does anyone know what to do if you never receive the NOA1? They cashed the check over a month ago, but that's it. Is there something else I can be doing until it arrives (if it ever does)?

you can get the receipt number off the cancelled check from your bank (use this in the uscis website to check status). The hardcopy isnt all that important. NOA1 just means they opened your file. My check didnt even get cashed for a whole month! You want the NOA2 now ;)

  10. Oh Thank God!! They deposited my check exactly 1 month after filing! Now i am waiting for the scan on the back to get my receipt number! I was starting to think it never made it there!

niceguy26: that awesome news, i didn't want to tell you my check was cashed on 7/17 coz i didn't mail it until 7/06. and i was feeling really bad for you.

yeah i would have even lost it even more :D lol... im so happy now. i checked it at work and threw my fist in the air haha. now for the long part. im just so glad its started
