hey whats going on?im starting getting worried about this?i havent heard or received anything from USCIS.i hope that everything is ok...
i havent got any NOA1 or what ever im suppose to be receiving from the mail?i used certified mail and i know this received it i got the card back that i filled up before i mailed it.so whats going on,anyone help me explain to me...
I sent mine on June 21st and still no hardcopy yet. Just hang in there. Patience is key
-
ohh that does suck. Mine took 30 days or so to get cashed while everyone else in June was getting NOA1 in like 5 days. I was freaking out too. Since it is signed, thats the good thing. My guess is they probably keep checks in a certain area and deposit them together. I bet they have already mailed your noticeI would have not f...ing need NOA1, but my check has been never cashed either. After 45 days I do not know my case # and when I call they just tell me wait 90 days...
THe only good thing I have FEDEX confirmation with A.Scot signature on it. And same guy signed for other petitions. He works for VSC. SO...Where is my petition? Any Ideas?
And, yea... Anyone wants to be in my situation?
P.S.Thanks for any advice that might come up......

well...
HOW ABOUT MY TIMING. sent 7/20 AND no NOA1 YET AFTER 44 DAYS!!!??? LOOKS LIKE YOUR 14-DAY GRAPH IS NOT WORKING HERE....LOL
Did you call to get your case number? We have never received the hard copy, but got the number off the back of our check
I still have no hardcopy either. I called yesterday and thye said I have to wait 90 days then call back if I still don;t have it.... I mailed mine in June

I am VERY pleased about this!
My NOA1 took me a month from mailing, while it took many people 5-10 days for NOA1. My new Adjucated date moved from November 7th until November 21st, but I am very happy it goes off of the NOA1 date rather than "sent date" just because it shows more what USCIS is doing rather than other influences (post office etc..)
Looks like the Nov 7/8th date is the more accurate time. I have reverted the system. Sorry for the confusion. I am trying to make things as good as possible!
I hope your right! lol. The sooner the better for me ofcourse...
I do firmly believe the "received date" would be the most accurate, but i guess its all not a huge differential anyways B)

It was for mine because I mailed mine in June, and in June almost everyone was getting 10 day or less NOA1 (atleast when i clicked on "show similar timelines" and from what other people posted) I considered myself a June filer until my check was FINALLY cashed after exactly 1 month...One good note is while the sent-->NOA1 times seem to be increasing, it seems as though they were all trending smoothly over time. Basically this means that while not perfect the "sent" date may end up being reasonable to use for estimates. The reason in moving to the NOA1 date (or even received date) was that there was thought to be a great deal of variability in the sent--> NOA1 dates do to mailing. This appears not to be the case. -

I have moved about 20 or so topics from the last ten days in the progress report forum. They should now be in the right forums. Tracy, we do make changes based on suggestions but in general we do not want to make rash decisions to change things based on limited feedback. We prefer to hear all sides. Both new and old members alike have valid points of view. The internet evolves and so does the site from month to month and through the years. The 'progress report' forum never existed until members started to enjoy the social elements of creating such threads. When there were tons of similar threads I agreed with the community to create the new forum. I want to do the best I can for the site and all members but nothing will ever be perfect. As for combining the threads that are in that forum I am not sure on what to do. Imposing and/or forcing people to change the threads is not the right solution. Hard call.
As for the timelines. I am very open to making changes that make sense. Just let me know. A thread last month resulted in me making several changes to the timeline system. There can be improvements still so I would appreciate any feedback that contains practical improvements and ways to simplify the presentation.
What about using the "received" date as the starting point in the timelines database rather than sent date? Did you come to a conclusion with that yet? Some NOA1 were 5 days while others were well over 30 days....
-
Those threads don't bother me too much, but thiss is my main concern:

I remember reading several other threads about him when I first got here. I can't remember if it was on VJ or Asawa.org... There were tons of people speaking how thay got ripped off.

Where are the current processing times posted as 6 months? Isn't it posted as about 120 days at both service centers? The one on the USCIS website doesn't really count since it's always automatically generated to say 6 months, anyway.
Anyway, we got ours in about 3 and half months.

Hi guys, im using Owtel long distance to call my family in the Philippines, its really cheap, i can only spend $5 for a 25minutes call. Whats yours?
I was using calling cards at $5.00 each with 40 mins per card. Sometime I'd spend a $100.00 a month and now....
I pay $59.99 a month and I can call my wife anytime and talk unlimited...I can use a land line or a cell phone. Also, since I have nationwide long distance, I can call her from anywhere in the USA and talk as long as I want.
She can take her cell phone anywhere, and no matter when or where she goes, I can call her.. I have local direct access number.....no calling cards, no per minute charges...just UNLIMITED..
I am so jealous! they dont have that service where she lives! I keep checking back with them every couple of weeks
Michael, what company is that ?this is the one I wish i could get. It covers most areas of Philippines

congrats!! No timeline??
-
Also, you can set it up so that your access number recognizes your phone number (caller ID) so you dont have to enter a PIN everytime. I also only have to press "1" do dial up my fiancee's number, because i set it up like that on my account. Much better than the old card I was using (WPC)

I just started using talkloop.com (this is my referral link by the way) and I love it! if you dial a local access number its only 16.9 cents / minute, plus it keeps all your call logs which is perfect for the interview

Concerning this....
Is is advisable to buy shoes and clothes here in the Philippines before departing to US?
i never tried to have my hair cut here. seeing those high prices/rates for different services made me shocked. what i do is, cut my own hair and so with coloring it(black). for that, i saved 40$ or more. i wont be bothered anymore spending that much just for a hair cut.Welcome to America Lira everything here is expensive
Clothes are much cheaper in the Phils!

Mine was received July 18th, and nothing in the mail yet. how do you think I feel? LOLCongrats everyone on receiving your NOA1's in the mail! That's great. My NOA1 was issued on August 2nd, but I STILL HAVE NOT received anything from USCIS.
Should I worry about this? Has my application been lost u think?
-
I was always considering NOA1 the date I got my receipt number, but I guess it is the date "received" on the USCIS website which would be 7-18-2007.
I still don't have a NOA1 Hardcopy yet...
Weedebz, can you change mine from 7/21/07 to 7/18/07 ?? Thanks!
-
They received our petition in CSC on July 18th. Still no NOA1 Hardcopy.... anyone else having a long wait for the hardcopy like this??
-
is there a thread for august filers?
First and foremost, a big thanks to all you guys here at Visa Journey. We have learned a lot from the forum discussions.
We filed our I-129F for a K-1 Visa on Aug. 6, 2007 via FedEx. It was received by CSC on Aug. 7, 2007. We just got our NOA1 last Aug. 14, 2007 and our check was encashed last Aug. 16, 2007.
Good luck to all of us!!!
your timeline in your signature all says July... August is the 8th month

i decided on talkloop. cool features, but sometimes the calls mess up and i still get charged.... still averages out and is worth it to me

Anything other than bt-store.com out there? Anyone know any discount agents? I wish i could fly to Cebu for the same price as some of the Manila fairs... Best I had so far was my 1st trip. $1300 round trip... I wish i could fly for around $900!!!
You can't fly from the US to Cebu.
oh I was definitely talking about non-stop
I have made 2 trips there so far and I'm in the US, so atleast i know what i meant (flight itinerary)

I use pingo.com.
They keep monthly logs in your account so that you can print them whenever you want. It includes the dates, duration of call, number calling from, number calling to and how much it was.
I just looked at them. how does the $.98 monthly charge or whatever work? is it still a pre-paid deal? or do they just keep your card on file and charge a dollar every month?
May filer approval
