Montreal is traditionally SLOW.  If they received the documents, expect 6-8 weeks, on average, for review.  That seems to be their sloth pace of late.  Some people have been very lucky and have had reviews much faster, so cross your fingers and hope your case falls into that category!

The whole process took about 2 hours and 20 minutes. We were out of the Embassy by 10.20am. We made our flight  back home and our visa came one week later by post. Thanks for all your input.
