Our lawyer told us we could not schedule the medical appt until we had received an interview date, but this is the third or fourth example I’ve seen recently where medical is scheduled before the interview is assigned, so now I’m worried we’ve wasted the time since we were documentarily qualified. Does anyone know if we are delaying our interview by not booking medical yet?
PS, congrats KayMFrench!
It could be different for you than it is for me due to mine being expedited, but I truly do not know. We were told our medical had to be booked prior to making an appointment to ensure that the documents from the medical reach the embassy in time so we were not delayed.

My husband has his medical booked for the 21st of October. Our immigration interview will be scheduled soon afterwards. We are waiting for appointment dates to open up. Hoping my husband will be here in mid November. I hope everyone else's process is going smoothly!

Yes, I know, I checked the processing times on USCIS website. I was just wishing to hear that somebody from Nebraska got approved. I sent my documents from Florida I don’t know why they are in Nebraska.
Are you waiting for your I-130 to be approved also? When did you file? And if it has been approved how long did you wait?
Thanks for your response and for your help.
I believe the last time I saw, approvals were being given to people with a June priority date for Nebraska.
I'm no longer waiting for my NOA2. I had Potomac as my service center. My PD was Nov 16, 2018. I waited 7 months then was granted an expedite at NVC.
So my application is already at Embassy.

Hello
I am an US Citizen living in USA waiting for my husband’s I-130 Approval (he is overseas)
We filed last week of October 2018. After a week we got the receipt. Our case date is November 5, 2018 and it is at the Nebraska office. We have been waiting for 9 months, today.
Is anybody here from Nebraska office that file on November 2018 and has received letter of Approval of I-130?
Thanks
Nebraska, as far as I am aware, is the slowest processing center. The current wait time for NOA2 is up to 15 months. I doubt you'll be hearing anything soon unfortunately. :/

Congrats. Did you expedite?
If so, did you get an email saying they are reviewing your request to expedite. I got that email a week ago and no update since.
Yes, I expedited. I actually got the approval notice shortly after I posted that I got my NVC number. My case has been sent directly to Embassy. And yes, it took about a week or so to hear back on the decision.

I got my NVC case number today! I'm so excited!!

I am just hanging in here😥Nothing new from my side, but am hopeful that very soon NOA2 we start rolling in. Thanks for checking
I hope you get yours soon! I'm so sad for you that you've gotten stuck with Nebraska. I pray they speed things up. Their processing time is just crazy right now. Literally unbelievable.

How is everyone hanging in? Anything new for anyone?

Who else is waiting on Nebraska since November? They keep changing the month of processing and it crazy.. it been 8 months now and no new on my NOA2 😭😭 this is so sad for me.
Nebraska is behind. I believe it is up to 14.5 months at this time. So, you could potentially be waiting another 6.5 months before getting your NOA2.

Yeah. I actually wait 1 more month to submit the doc and my case was approved last week. Anyway, when you get NVC letter, every step is pretty quick. 😀
Oh, congratulations! So happy for you! That is exciting to know that NVC is quicker.

I wait about 6 weeks to get the letter from NVC.
Ah, okay! Thank you for the quick response! 😊 I kind of roughly assumed it would be about 6 weeks so that's great.
Have you already submitted all of your documentation to NVC?

To anyone that has already received their NOA2, how long did it take to get the welcome letter from NVC?

My filing date is October 31st 2018. Should I be getting worried? Should I call them?
Your processing center is Texas. The wait is 8-10.5 months so you're still considered within the normal processing time. Calling them is a waste of time.
I sat on hold for an hour for them to tell me that exact same thing when I was waiting for my NOA2.

Pls I need to clear this from my mind. Please I need advise and I don’t know if that is why USCIS has not approve me.. So I got my Divorce Decree on the 26 of sept and got marry on the 27 of same month of September( a day after my divorce came through I marry my present husband) my fear is this, will the USCIS feel is too close and denial me or it does not matter as long as I already have my divorce? Pls any respond we be very appreciate. Thank you
Your processing center is Nebraska. They are VERY slow. The USCIS website shows that there is a 10-13 month wait. Most of the people I have seen, who have Nebraska, usually have been over 11 months of waiting before approval. You have nothing to worry about, just try and be patient and wait for your NOA2. I know its much easier said than done. Good luck.

What did you file for? But the truth still remain that the wait is too much and am not sure they still operate on the normal processing time.

I contacted USCIS about my case yesterday to no avail.
It is still considered within the "normal" processing time, which I already knew.
I just don't understand why my case is still pending and many others who have a PD after mine have already been approved.
I feel like I am going out of my mind with this process.
I have another two months to wait before I can contact USCIS again. 😓

Hi, Did you get REF? It's really unusual that Potomac center hold that long.
I know, it really is. I truly am annoyed. But no, no RFE.

Oh man, do I know what you mean. I am feeling very discouraged at this point.
My service center is Potomac as well, and everyone that I have spoken with who is around my PD, is already finishing with NVC.
So frustrated.
