Hi @MzBrown, can I ask, if all three i130's were worked on at the same service centre? I'm going crazy as mine went to Texas and was approved through expedite and is now at NVC but our son's went to the NBC and despite same expedite request (both expedites sent to USCIS on December 11th) had not been worked on. We kept calling USCIS tier2's for updates from NBC and were told it was in expeditious processing since December 19th. Last call with tier2 officer on February 20th she said she would escalate but instead we received an update on case tracker saying they received an expedite request on February 20th and we should send supporting evidence (which we did on December 19th)

This is so frustrating that they separate families and treat the family members differently- all I want to do is cry really as all of this makes me feel so helpless 😭

Yes, all three went to the Potomac service center. It is not sneed frustrating. Now for my family, we have this ban to contend with. If they didn’t separate the petitions and we waited for the other to meet up (took 3 weeks months despite getting senator involved) they would be here already.

  2. My husband and daughters interviewed on Friday the 21st. This was an expedite request because their petitions were separated and we had received an interview date for one. According to the embassy staff, they normally do not conduct immigrant interviews on Fridays and the security initially told my husband he could not enter but then a staff person came and called their names.
Sidebar: My husband was there for hours and said there were about 200 people there for visitor visas and only

about 35 were approved. Where they were seated for the immigrant process, the visitor visa approvals had to come there to pay. /end sidebar

The CO asked the general questions, what is your wife’s name. How did you

meet, has she ever been married, does she have children, what does she do for a living.
His wife passed away and he was asked for a copy of the obituary and pics from

the funeral which he supplied to DHS later that afternoon. This was in addition to the death certificate provided.

There is a discrepancy in the dates this ban went into effect. I’ve seen reports of the 22nd and some say the 21st. The Proclamation is the 21st.

Thank you I will try to call the embassy on Monday

There’s no calling the embassy. The person that answers will tell you to email LagosIV@state.gov. If you send a generic email you’ll just get the automatic response. If you put the beneficiary name and case number in the subject line, you’ll get a response.

I filed for my 14 year old step son. He doesn't have an email address. I know I'm getting ahead of myself but once the application is with the embassy, how will they contact the boy? It will be Managua, Nicaragua. I asked this question on here many times but I haven't gotten an answer. My husband, his father, said to contact Managua directly and deal with them from here. I don't know what to do.

what email did you list? For my daughters, I listed my email.

    Jesus 🤦🏽‍♂️

Not to mention the holiday season coming. I'm projecting our review date being the week of October 28th then interview being end of November. My husband them has to give a 4 week notice at work then he and our girls will be here about the beginning of the year. This process is not for the faint of heart for sure! I looked at the docs we submitted and i reloaded them to make sure they were facing up. Just trying to do as much as possible to avoid further delay.

Mine took two business days and had to check online at CEAC site to see it was processed and links were there to start uploading documents.

Thanks. I just happened to check ye8sterday so I've filled everything out and submitted it. It didn't ask for my husband's criminal check, but he got that done today and will be emailing it to me.

Hallelujah!! Not for lost time but so thankful that they've finally located and resolved the missing case to keep the family file together. Did you pay and upload docs on the other cases already to get a head start?

I finally received the last case number last night and I paid the fees today!  This has been sooo stressful, but glad to have movement, so all 3 are together again and hopefully the payment will move quickly on their end so we can continue this train!

Guys I need some help. My case was approved on August 9th. My wife received the second NOA and it says that they sent the case to NVC however it's been a week and a few days and my status is still "case approved" does anyone know how long it takes USCIS to send your case to NVC

I hope what happened to me didn't happen to you.  I submitted all three petitions (husband and 2 children). All 3 were approved, but only 2 were sent to NVC and the site reflected that.  My original notice of action date for all 3 was April 17th and they just sent petition to NVC on August 8th and they received it on August 15th.  If the site still says Case Pending, that may be the issue.  What I did is contacted NVC, but I had to wait 2 months before they sent a request to USCIS. Good luck to ya!

Hi! I just want to ask if you guys ever experienced this (the picture below)? I've been trying to check the status of my case but it doesn't show anything, this is the first time I experienced it while checking. Our PD is 31 December 2018 and until now we haven't received our NOA2. We filed our case in Texas. Thank you!

I think they're having system issues. It resulted the same for me a few weeks ago.

No, I haven't. The other 2 are sitting waiting at NVC so as soon as I get a case number, I'll move forward.  It'll save a little bit of $$ but there I can make sure they are all together.

@MzBrown Any updates on your daughters missing case and getting all of the files ready at NVC?

FINALLY just got notification that the case has been sent to NVC today.  Let's see how long for them to actually get it.  This has been a nightmare.  Four different inquires for help from various agencies (NVC, 2 Senators, USCIS Ombudsman) and  finally just got it. I was at the point of telling them listen..chalk it up to it being lost I can resend.  But they wanted to look for it.  Praying these next steps go more smoothly.

Hi dont submit your request too soon. You will be disappointed. Also it's up to the embassy to accept the expedite.

Another thing, most embassies wont accept an expedite request if you dont pay fees, submit docs and get documentarily qualified.

So until all that happens your embassy wont accept the expedite.

Thats the trend I've been seeing.

That's good to know.  I'm going to try, the worse they can say is no. We have everything, $$, criminal reports, tax transcripts...we're just waiting on this one petition so we can submit together so it would hopefully move to the next stage together.

I think the petition is at NVC, we got approval April 8 and our petition was sent to NVC April 15. NVC received our case April 22. Call and escalate to a supervisor.

Personally I dont think the senator's office can do much. You need to nag NVC.

Hi everyone!  So our never ending saga continues. I called NVC today, was told by the first rep I spoke with that the paperwork for my daughter was being processed electronically and the individual needed to transfer me to another area, Got that area and they said they didn't have it. Called NVC back and the 2nd rep told me that they didn't have it. I gave my notice date and she advised me to email NVCResearch, so that's what I've done.

I also got an email from the ombudsman office with my case number with them.  So between the email, Ombudsman office and senator...SOMETHING should happen soon.  I'll be requesting an expedite at the NVC stage because the was a clear error made on the part of USCIS. They may make reference to the timelines, but I don't care...everything is worth a shot.

How's everyone else doing?  @GabLuc Have you gotten interview date?

Okay, that's USCIS error that they only transmitted two of the three cases so escalate to them and loop in your senator office. Call out that it's BS that USCIS would "separate family petitions in this process and leave a minor child to process independent of the parental guardian". I'm very sorry and hope that you get an answer soon w/support from your senators office.

So update.  I'm abroad visiting with my husband and girls.  I reached out to the Senator's office and they mailed a letter to my home on the 30th, but of course I'm not able to get it..lol.

    Anyhoo, it states...

    Dear Ms. Brown:

In response to my inquiry on your behalf, I have received the following information from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) regarding the status of the case for your daughter, *****************************.

Thank you for your inquiry on behalf of your constituent, **************** , requesting a case status of their Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) systems confirm that your constituent’s petition was approved on April 17, 2019 and an approval notice was mailed to your constituent’s address of record. Your constituent’s approved petition will be sent to the National Visa Center (NVC). As a reminder, the NVC processes all approved immigrant visa petitions that need consular action. The NVC also determines which consular post is the appropriate consulate to complete visa processing. The NVC will then forward the approved petition to that consulate.

The NVC will contact the beneficiary of the approved petition with further information about immigrant visa processing steps. Your constituent should allow a minimum of 30 days for the U.S. Department of State processing before contacting the NVC. If your constituent has not received any correspondence from the NVC within 30 business days of this notice, they may contact the NVC by e-mail at NVCINQUIRY@state.gov.

Your constituent will need to enter the USCIS receipt numbers from the approval notices in the subject line. In order to receive information about their petition, your constituent will need to include in the body of the email their name and date of birth, and the beneficiary’s name and date of birth.

I hope you will find that this information answers all of your questions. If I can be of further assistance, please feel free to contact my office at any time.

I have it on my calendar to follow-up with the NVC on 7/11/19 – allows for the 30 business days (includes time for the holiday) – in the event you do not receive correspondence from the NVC.

So basically...wait some more....smh.  I checked USCIS's website and they are still showing the case was received, not that it's been sent to the state department.  I don't think they are getting it...that the petition is not at NVC.  Ugh!

Thank you! I have submitted a request to the Ombudsman and submitted request to my senator. Just got off phone with one of his aides.  I used your words as it was lovely...."separate family petitions in this process and leave a minor child to process independent of the parental guardian" :)  Thank you!

If you got the NOA2 for Daughter #2 and it hasn't "arrived" at NVC yet then expedite to USCIS/Senator for help. If you got the NOA2 for Daughter #2 and NVC has received it (they'll confirm when you call and provide her case number) but not yet entered/sent case email then expedite to NVC alias. It has to be an error at NVC side that they omitted second daughter thinking she's was a duplicate of the first case or something. I'd hit them both honestly!!

Ok that helps.  I have the NOA2, but NVC has not received it.  It even says still pending on the USCIS website whereas the other 2 say it was sent to the Dept of State.  This is a mess!

I finally reached NVC yesterday after 2hr hold and confirmed that they received my case on 5/22 for entry and she told me it could take up to 8wks (🙄) to receive the email. I feel better just knowing it finally arrived. I know based on others experience that the case email will now arrive in the coming weeks!!

I'm sorry that your daughters case was separated...that's absurd. I think you should send an email to the NVC expedite alias (nvcexpedite@state.gov) with your petition number and highlight the missing case number (vs. the two you received) and request urgent assistance. Request that they expedite the missing case so you can process the family applications together and see what they tell you.

Note: Attach scanned copy of NOA2, other case emails and a written request request for expedite of the third case in order to process the girls together (call out any additional reasons that may meet expedite criteria).

I hope they respond with assistance!!

Yeah I'm on the same page.  I'm getting everything together to do that.  Do I send the expedite request to USCIS or NVC?  I'm not sure which because it's at USCIS.

Yes, called every week since petition approval and as recently as yesterday it had not been received. The lines are busy (or turned off) again today. It drives me crazy because we were expedite approved 4/30, app update that it was mailed to State Dept on 5/15 (nice little two week delay) and once it does arrive we can expedite at NVC (another story whether they choose to accept it) to get our case processed through to embassy....and do medical, bio and interview all over again. I'm just being impatient and should probably just relax!! 😉

My daughter's petition may be stuck with yours. We received the NOA2 for my husband and both girls but only received the case number for husband and 1 of the girls. I called yesterday and USCIS stated i have to give them 90 days to send case, NVC said 30 days and advised me to call back on the 30th. The 30th date makes no sense.
