I remember during my interview the IO told me to sign that piece of paper with either black or blue ink but not the other. He made a great deal out of it. I was excited with the whole thing so I forgot which one it is. On the ceremony letter it says to bring a pen with you. It does not specify which one I should use.

Anyone got experience with this? Also, is there anything not mentioned on the letter I should prepare for? Should I take all evidence again?

I just noticed on the second page it says black ink. I guess I am still excited! LOL. Past experiences are welcome!

Congratulations! Black ink . Yes, i totally understand your excitement ! I just took mine last month. Just take with you what they asked on the Oath Taking Notice and of course the Notice 🙂

Can you please elaborate on this.  Who is they and what was the reason for lifting based on elections??  Im curious because the subset of the Philippine population that would be affected by a quarantine is extremely tiny.  :)  Europe and other regions of the world have dropped quarantine requirements a long time ago.  Many countries are also starting to drop the testing requirement for vaccinated travelers.

I'm referring to the Government ,sorry. In my own opinion and a lot of Filipinos will agree that this 10 day quarantine at " a Government Accredited Hotel" is all about business profit. Imagine the hotel bill for 10 days. I booked my vacation last year at one of the hotels in Cebu and 10 day stay was Php43,000. which was almost $1000.00 I ended up cancelling my trip because I chickened out when I saw the document that I need to sign when i get to the airport in the Philippines that if i ever tested positive of COVID I'm giving the Government of the Philippines the right to take me to a facility.  Scary.

Yes , these testing requirements are  crazy esp when you look at the news and all these people are all gathered closely together attending these political rallies.

I think it came pretty quick. I want to say it took a week or less after it was approved.

However, I've noticed that USPS is taking about 2x to deliver my mail. I used to get my statements about a week after they were printed. Now, I am getting them OVER two weeks after they are printed. So I would give it a week at the very least, if not two.

Thank you! Im getting anxious because I really want to travel at the end of the month.

I became a citizen a few months back and filed for my passport last at the end of last month. My wife is a USC so is my son. Coincidentally, they needed to renew their passports so we all went together to the same USPS office to get our passports. Mine was a first time passport, theirs a renewal.

My wife's passport was approved exactly 10 days from the day we applied at the USPS office. 10 days!! And NO, we DID NOT pay expedited processing. Just regular processing for the 3 of us. Her record locator starts with 42.

My sons and mine's start with 55 both are still processing.

Is there a list somewhere of the record locator codes?

Also, with the new passport design coming up, does anybody know which passport offices are issuing the new design? My wife got the old design from office 42.

hi! whats the timeline of your wife's passport? we have the same locator. My application was approved 6 days after mailing it. I hope i will get it soon

    Hi All,

I have been a silent member of this forum for awhile... I recently received my US -Naturalization Certificate (time to celebrate :) ). My son is still living in the Philippines, he is 17 years old and will turn 18 this August 2022.

I am not very sure which form to use is it N600 form or N400? Please enlighten me...thank you all in advance!

    Best Regards,

    Cathy

Hi!  I 130 is the form that you use. I'm doing my kids' paperwork as we speak. Best Wishes to you !

    Hello

I have submitted I-130 for my parent recently, but I am wondering if she can apply for a visit visa while waiting for her I-130? And does that hurt in any way? Thank you for your informed response.

Hi! In 2011 ,while waiting for my spousal visa we asked USCIS if we can apply for the tourist visa. And they said No and we just have to wait for the spousal visa to get approved. Best Wishes to you.

Our daughter aged out during the processing so not able to bring her with us 4 years ago. In 2018 applied for her to come as family member. Got letter USCIS about 2 months ago saying she was approved to come over but there is a yearly quota. Someone said it might be 10 more years before she's eligible to come over given the quota system. Seems like a long wait. Does that sound correct?

Hi! How old was your daughter when you applied for her paperwork? I'm doing my children's paperwork as of the moment . My eldest is 23 ,unmarried and the other one is 19. I hope the process is not that long for our aged children. Best Wishes to us.

    Greetings everyone!

My wife is scheduled for her citizenship interview next month. Assuming that all goes well, would the approval be immediate? Would a passport be submitted by USCIS or is that separate? Thanks in advance ❤️

Hi there! I had my interview end of January 2022 . Confirmed approval on USCIS account Feb 8 2022 and Oath taking notice. Took oath Feb 18 2022. USCIS are not accepting applications in their office in San Jose. So just done the application for passport today at USPS. Now, the waiting game begins. I hope I will get my passport very soon. Good luck to your wife.

    Good evening!

I just wanna ask you guys if its possible to have my parents from Philippines apply for a tourist visa while waiting for the petition

We sent the i824 last September and we havent got any response yet.

and is it possible to finish the green card process here in the U.S with a tourist visa?

They are coming here to help us out on taking care of my daughters

    thanks!

Hi! My husband applied for my spousal visa (2011) and during my interview at the US Embassy in the Philippines, I asked if I can apply for a tourist visa while waiting for the spousal visa. The officer said that we just have to wait for the visa that we applied for already. So I think that's similar with your case. But it doesnt hurt to ask USCIS. Best Wishes.

    I disagree with you.

You should never volunteer information that does not help your case.

However, if you are asked about it, then you should give details.

Thank you. I thought through things the day before the interview . And  I did the same thing  when I was interviewed the first time in the Philippines (Spousal Visa ) . Answer only the question that's being asked and expound if the officer needed more info.

I think I got lucky my IO has this aura of calmness which rubbed off on me *wink,  then I instantly relaxed the moment I got into her office.

(laughing) so am I and I (never) post factually inaccurate info.

But:  I been on here since 2006, before a K3/AOS/ROC, surrendered green card, DCF, four years out, SB1, and a citizenship interview and my call after seeing thousands of people roll through here?

They won’t ask a thing about the marriage.

OP - give us a follow up and again congrats and good luck.  Follow up is for me to drop in and say I tole y’all so.
