hello guys.... My family and i had our F4 interview on the 19 Of march ...and the Visa Officer said everything is good that but requested for an I-864A form to be signed by her husband since our petitioner files tax together with her husband along with our passport....which we submitted on the 26th of March...

We just got an email from the UsTraveldocs Document Collection centre... That our passport is ready for pick up... But what is confusing us is that can the Visa be issued without  the CEAC visa tracker changing to Issued???

Please i will appreciate your contributions

My husband and I are in the same situation you were in. His case status is still showing AP, but we received the e-mail that his passport is ready for pick up. I am worried that he has been denied or they are wanting more documents. Did your CEAC ever change from AP to issued?

Reading others’ posts, it looks like CEAC lags 2-3 business days and if it’s saying it’s being processed, they’re putting the stamp on it.  Can’t guarantee anything, but that’s the general consensus.  Keeping my fingers crossed!  It sounds like you’re ok!

Hey, I am really sad right . now because we have the confirmation of his passport being sent to him, however, on CEAC he is still in AP. From what I have read CEAC changes their update before the e-mail comes from UStraveldocs. People are telling me CEAC could be slow at updating, but I do not think it would be that slow.

Just feel I need to prepare my heart and mind for him not coming home this Christmas. 😕

  3. My husband and I got married last year in Honduras. When we went to the DPI to get his document from the book of births and our document from the book of marriages, they were not able to process the book of marriages document. Something to the affect that the book had not filled up yet to be sent.

We did submit our legal marriage certificate with the Honduras stamp of approval (I think that is what it is), but please, if anyone knows....if we do not have the book of marriage document would that hold up my husband's visa?

    Thank you

I am guessing it sounds like things are good and my husband will get his Visa soon. I have heard the same thing about CEAC but then I have also read to go by that site for accurate information. I will let ya know as soon as he has it.

  5. My husband mailed his medical exam to the Embassy on November 20th. His CEAC case still shows "AP", however when I looked on UStraveldocs his status changed from "being delivered to post" to "Passport has been received from the consular section, and is currently being processed for delivery".

Has this ever happened to anyone, when the CEAC status is still in "AP" but the passport tracker shows the passport being processed for delivery.

    Two things come to mind

    1) His visa has been approved, and is preparing for delivery...or

    2) His visa has been denied and they are sending it back.

Does it take a day or two for CEAC to update after Traveldocs has updated?

Either way, CEAC shows still in "AP" and the other "Passport being processed for delivery".

If anyone has any experience with this, please help me.

    Thank you!!

    Hi everyone

Me and my 3 year old son are desperately waiting for my husband to be in the US with us.

We have been waiting 2 years , his interview date was October 20 2017 in Tegucigalpa, they told him congrats your visa is approved . They kept his passport but he was missing his medical exams because he admitted trying marijuana as a teenager during medical exam .

The doctor then had him come back for 3 random drug test November , December and January. On January 23 the doctor handed him his medical exams since he passed all 3 tests and he then submitted the medical exams to cargo expreso and they told him to come back in 7 days to pick up his passport.

it has now been 7 days

passport tracker says “ your passport is being delivered to post”and nvc case status says “administrative processing “ last updated Jan 25

has anyone experienced anything similar ?

    please help

    Hello,

I just found your post. It has been over a year, but I wanted to see if your husband was able to get his visa and how soon after he submitted the medical exam to the Embassy.  My husband is going through the same thing now.

    Thank you

This proclamation is currently on hold still. See https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/Presidential-Proclamation-on-Health-Care.html.

No need to wait until open enrollment - once he enters the US, that is a qualifying life event (QLE) for a special enrollment period. This would be after he enters, but showing that he will be eligible for coverage through your employer's plan would likely be satisfactory (I only say "likely" as nobody can say 100%, especially on something that has never been in force).

    Thank you for the clarification!!

  8. I am just now reading about Visa's may not be issued if there is not evidence for Insurance coverage. I will be adding my husband to my insurance through my work, but have to wait until open enrollment. Can I buy a short term health insurance plan and would they accept that has having health coverage? Also, how do I inform the Embassy that my husband will have health coverage?

we are anticipating his Visa to be issued in the next 3 weeks and I am now panicking that they may not issue his visa.

I concur, that if he can get a new passport with a date of birth that matches his birth certificate, that will solve any problem.  His ID card is never asked for.

Thank you! After much stress, I just now realized that the one document that has a different birthday than 12/26 was not even submitted because they did not ask for it.

Every other document has a birthdate of 12/26 so we are good. Now we just need the Dr. to send my husbands medical exam to the embassy so they can finish the process.

    Thanks again.

I don’t think it means a rejection by any means.  I’ve seen other people with wrong data and no one got a rejection because of it.  Possibly they caught it early on and used the submitted birth certificate date anyway.  I would get everything to match but don’t stress.

My husband thought his first time in 50 degree weather was horrible!  I have family in Des Moines and he asked in June why we don’t live there.  We’ll go back in January to answer that!😂😂.   He also was amazed by how much longer and shorter days are with the seasons.

Thank you! I am not stressing out as much now. I actually just remembered that the only document that had November as his birthday was not even submitted because it was not one of the documents on the list for the Embassy. Every document they required from us has the birth date of 12/26 which is on his application. I think I can breathe now.

How is he adjusting to the American life? Weather and cultural? OOHH...Iowa in January can be brutal..lol. I keep telling my husband he will be thinking twice about wanting to be in cold weather once he is here.

  11. 1 hour ago, USS_Voyager said:

I don't think it will cause an automatic rejection but they may ask him to fix either one of the documents. How about this: is it easy to get a passport in Honduras? Can he get a new passport before his interview and tell them to correct the birth date on the new passport, with proof as the birth certificate? I don't think the Embassy cares about the Honduras ID.

Also, does your husband know how cold it gets in Iowa? Is he out of his mind?

Just kidding, I live in Cedar Rapids , so it's nice to see another Iowan on VJ.

First of all....how cool!! You live in CR. I actually am in that area a lot. My mom lives between Ames and CR. My husband wants to be in the cold weather. I tell him he is crazy and he will not like it after a couple of years.

That is a great idea to have my husband get a new passport with the correct information. And he will need a new passport because I am sure his visa will have the correct birth date from his birth record. However, will that cause issues with the fact that the application has the other date of birth?

I am thinking that I need to have him go ahead and get a new passport.

  12. My husband has two sources that show two different dates of birth. His Honduras ID card says one date 12/26/87 and his birth of records show 11/26/87

I am not sure how that happened, but when we filled out his application we put down the 12/26/87 date, that was on his Honduras ID card. Also his passport shows 12/26/87.

Could this cause the Embassy to deny him his visa? He said he didn't know which one was his date. I know he was born in a small village inside the home, and his mom has not kept him records. He had to travel to his birth state to obtain his birth record for our marriage. I am worried that the different dates will cause an automatic rejection to his visa. Any ideas about this?

    Thanks

What did the doctor say the reason was for not sending in the medical history?

my husband went to Tegucigalpa doctor and is there waiting.

Well, our case is a bit different. My husband was completely honest about drug use 10 years ago. However, even after telling the Dr. that during the medical exam, the Dr. still said he would send the medical in time for his interview. We are still waiting for the Dr. to send the exam to the Embassy. The Dr. did request drug tests to be completed and my husband is clean, so it is just a waiting game now.

Wow...that is sad! It makes it that much more difficult to get visa's. I hope our Embassy doesn't close.

We received notice that my husbands interview was 10/18/19 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. He arrived 10/9 and had his medical appt 10/10. He passed the medical exams. He went to the embassy and his visa was approved, except the agent said he never received his medical history. He was given back his passport and told we would receive an email with instructions on getting his visa once they received his medical history. My husband went back to the doctor and was told its not a big deal but I want you to see a psychologist. My husband passed everything....he has no criminal record in Honduras or the US, no DUI no history whatsoever of anything mental. The doctor said a request was sent to the embassy for a referral, but that was over a week ago. I was told once approved the embassy is pretty quick with stuff and they don't like to hold people up from traveling especially to get back to their families. What can we do? How do I know if a request was even sent to the embassy? It is very dangerous right now and my husband is scared they will close the embassy. Can anyone help?

This also happened to my husband. We are now 3 months waiting for the Dr. to send the Embassy his medical exam. The Dr. informed my husband that he would, but when we went to the interview the exam was not there. My husband was also handed back his passport. Who was his Dr? My husband went to SPS for his medical exam because it was closer to his home. Please let me know what you find out. I am planning to make a phone call to the Dr. soon. My husband's medical record expires in January. They wouldn't close the Embassy would they?

Hello I want to know if someone is going or has gone through this for us to to know what to expect.

It has been 77 days since my husband's visa was placed under AP for review of Tattoos his case is with the Fraud Prevention Unit, but the embassy called and scheduled an appointment we don't know what to expect, is it another interview? review of his tattoos? or are they granting him the visa?

    Any information helps!!

    Thank you!!

    Hello,

I came across this post and wanted to reach out to you. They put my husband's case into AP because the Dr. did not send the medical exam for the interview. We had his interview on July 26th. Did your husband have to have a second interview after the AP was finished? Also, did they give your husband back his passport at the interview or keep it? They gave my husband his passport back, and told him they do not need to keep it there. Everything was going great until the Dr. decided to not send his medical exam, and it is very frustrating not to be able to talk with anyone about the case.

    Thank you

    Yup

Oh wow!!! Ok. that is great news. I was thinking we had to complete more paper work or Dr. appointments. So glad that was his biometrics. ...now if I can just figure out when the Dr. will send his medical exam to the Embassy and actually be able to communicate with someone, that would be amazing! It is a crazy feeling when everything goes silent once the case enters the Embassy of the country your spouse is coming from.

Seems it would be during the interview appointment:

At least that's what the non-immigrant visa page has listed: https://www.ustraveldocs.com/hn/hn-niv-photoinfo.asp

So is the Biometrics basically the passport  photo he took in with him to the interview and the fingerprints he had done during the interview?

Because we had his passport photo and before the interview began the lady told him to scan his fingers on a device.

  18. 24 minutes ago, HRQX said:

It depends on the embassy/consulate. For Tegucigalpa it isn't required before the interview: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/TGG-Tegucigalpa.html As a comparison, it's required before the interview in Mumbai: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/BMB-Mumbai.html

Phew....thank you so much!! But will we need to have the Biometrics completed at some point in the process?

  19. I have researched and I am still confused about the Biometrics. We have not received anything in the mail or through e-mail in regards to my husband having his biometrics done. However, I am reading that he will need to complete this process and pay for it. We already had his interview and waiting for the Dr. to send my husband's medical exam to the Embassy. We submitted every document required (except the medical exams, because the Dr. said he would the the medical exam). We have had our case expedited, and now since we are here at this point with our case being handled directly with Honduras, I feel like I have no idea what is going on. If anyone could guide me to the correct information on Biometrics that would be great!! I do not want there to be anything else that could hold up my husband from getting his visa.

    Thanks....much appreciated.

Birth certificates,  typically no expiration unless you are "born again"

    Medical is 6 months

Police certificate for immigration purposes is typically 12 months

Thank you!!! I hope we will get his visa before the Medical is up. We can't afford to pay for another medical.

Please Note: Police certificates only have a validity of six months and it is only accepted from Comayaguela, and not from other Honduras cities

  21. Hello,

So my husband's case is in administrative processing and we are hoping the Dr. will send the medical exam to the Embassy this month. He had his medical exam in July, but the Dr. decided to hold onto the exam after doing to more drug testing. My husband is clean, but we are just waiting now for the Dr. to send the exams.

    My question is....

How long are all the records good for?

    Birth Certificate

    Book of Births

    Medical exam

    Police Record

We obtained these records in July so they are only within 3 months...I am hoping we have 3 more month.

    thank you

They didn't even asked about smoking pot

Interesting. My husband admitted to smoking back in 2008 and the Dr. wouldn't send his medical exam to the Embassy for his interview. We get to the interview and they couldn't finish because the Dr. wants to do a 3 month to 1 year monitoring program on my husband. It is crazy how different the U.S Embassy's operate from country to country. There needs to be consistency. So now we are waiting for the Dr. to lift the monitoring program and send the Medical exam to the Embassy.
