Okay did a bit of digging with case tracker... 500 cases loaded, sorted only for EAD's. NONE were approved recently. And TONS of "Incorrect fee filed" "forms improperly filed" etc. Yeah, won't happen anytime soon. I'm probably gonna be gone from here for a month or so, if anyone will need my help, just @The_Empyrean me and i'll jump here to help.

Interestingly, some AP's were approved, but not EAD's. i think that case tracker is buggy. I don't believe that nobody before or ahead of me weren't approved. there are days i know for sure people were approved and it doesn't show up there so.. yeah.. can't reliably say lol. Anyhow.. Need some time from this website and stop thinking about EAD. It's summer and there are tons of things to do, plus long weekend is coming!

Most of the EAD which are approved shows
"Card was mailed" or "Card was delivered" without the saying what type of case it is. These cases are mostly around the cases i485 and i131 but they don't show up when you only select i756.

You've got your interview already? That's incredibly fast - I submitted my AOS a week before you (and actually had my K! interview a day before you, albeit in a different country) but haven't even had my biometrics appointment yet.

Not the interview or interview date. This notification just mentions that it is ready to be scheduled for an interview. My local office is San Francisco and I guess I have to wait 18 months.

  3. Hi,

We had our K1 interview on Nov 15th and the CO said everything is good and we are approved. And today when we checked the NVC status it shows "Administrative Processing", is it normal to show AP before Issued. We are expecting that the visa will be issued today Nov 16th but it was not. Should we wait before we contact the consulate?

Hmmm I guess I just assumed that because she put Cape Town under Consular Processing Information (Your beneficiary will apply for a visa abroad at the U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate at....Cape Town) on the I-129f that it meant she'd have the interview there?

If she can't have it in Cape Town, what are the wait times like for the interview at Johannesburg?

We got our first available appointment for Nov15th, and we checked Nov 29th is also available. When the consulate receives your file, just drop them an email, and you will receive your Packet 3 on the same day. I don't know about the December dates, I guess it was not open.

Hi. I was just wondering if anyone in here has managed to get their new case number yet from NVC? Was just wondering what the wait time for that is currently. We didn’t get our NOA2 until 7th August so I suspect it’s too early for us yet, but curious is anyone in the week before us has got theirs yet 😊

We got our noa2 aug 28th and got case number on sep17, you can call nvc and check on the status.

Congrats! The next steps are simple and easy,

    the ds160 link: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/forms/ds-160-online-nonimmigrant-visa-application.html

After about 10 working days if you haven’t heard anything from the consulate via email then you can call them on this number: 011 290 3500

This link is also very helpful: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=South Africa&cty=Johannesburg

They will email you packet 3 and there will be a list of information that needs to be prepared for the interview. Also they will ask you to email them back a copy of your fiancée passport and the conformation page of the ds-160. Once you have all the documentation you can set your interview date and medical

    Hope this helps 🌼

Good luck and wish you all the best on the rest of your journey🌼

Thanks for the link. Should we proceed to pay the fees here https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/after-petition-approved.html , it says it only accept US bank accounts and take one week to process.

I wish I could help you there but we did not do our K1 admin, we had a INS lawyer. But we had to track our case ourselves and book our own K1 appointment. Not sure what is the link to the DS160 form. Maybe google DS160 and follow a link on the internet? And yes, you can fill out the DS160 before package 3. But it will not allow you to schedule interview before confirmation from embassy. There is a security question you have to tick off asking you if you received your Embassy package 3. Rather wait till after embassy email.

Thank you in andvance for wishing us goodluck.

    Thanks.

  8. Can anyone help us with the next steps for proceeding k1?

    We got NOA2 - Aug28

NVC Case Received - Sept 14, NVC Case Number Sep 17 and we also got the invoice number but we don't know what to do with that. We are filing at Johannesburg Consulate. Does anyone have the Packet 3 information for Johannesburg Consulate?
