  1. I have read all about the VSC having short processing time but for me this has not been the case... I received the NOA 1 on March 27 and one touch on April 4. Nothing since that time. Should I be worried?? Is this unusual?? :o

No reason to worry. Every case is different, touches mean nothing and processing times are simply averages.

touches mean someone has picked up your petition, scanned it, and looking at it...it's a sign of life...

  2. 1) under question 7 - disclose info about mortgages or other encumbrances...do we need to state info on truck loan or student loan???

2)question 10 - i assume this would be my fiance...

    3) question 11 - this seems like a strange question...of course my fiance is going to live with me, and when we are FINALLY together, my money is hers and her money is mine (in this ideal fantasy world i live), and until she acclimates and starts to work, i will of course be providing for both of us...but it's not like she will be on a set program of a daily, weekly, monthly allowance...how is this stupid question supposed to be answered?!?!?!?!

again, any thoughts will be greatly appreciated...

    1. That refers only to real estate. Note, that if you qualify on income alone, you can skip everything else about assets and debts.

    2. Yes, your fiance and any children named.

    3. This is a multi-purpose form. For your fiance it is ok to say something to the effect of "I will provide full support before and after marriage."

    thank you very much...

BIG WEEK!!!! A total of 39 reported NOA2's!!!!!

Our oldest November filer received an RFE. Not what Jim was hoping for but at least it is something

One straggling December filer reported approval

    Case Status

    PS.

I will update next week, then I will be gone for two weeks as I will be traveling to assist my SO and her son in there journey to the USA!!!!

  5. ok friends...i'm not that smart...here is a stupid question...k1 fiancee visa is an immigrant visa...student, work visas are non-immigrant...correct???

It's not a stupid question - the names are a bit misleading (like when most people go for their interviews, they get in the "immigrant" line instead of the "non-immigrant" line even though K1 is a "non immigrant" visa).

Student, work, tourist, and K1 visas are all non-immigrant visas. (btw: the K1's non-immigrant status explains the 90-day marriage deadline - because on most non-immi visas, like tourist visas, VWP, 90 days is the default time limit for being in the US).

K1 gets you in the country for the purpose of getting married. Once you file for AOS, THAT'S what keeps you/your loved one here and makes them not-out-of-status until the green card determination is made.

thanks all for the clarification!!! just saved me $280 bones...for more phone bills...

Not to add any more confusion but it is a non-immigrant visa but is processed by the immigrant visa unit at the consulate...

so, $100 bucks for the fee at the interview...

 and for you payable only in USD at the embassy in Kiev

    10-4...thanks!!!

  10. Hello all,

Just want to scream to all that our petition has been approved from the CSC in only 84 days. I think having an attorney helped big time. We had bare minimum evidence to submit and got approval without any RFE at all. :D:D:D:D

Now continue to hold steady and ride the waves.

Thank you to everyone for their continued support and concern.

    ok, just to get this fuzzy math straight...cuz i am a feb 16th noa1 as well...from feb 16th to may 4th is...mmm, 77days...

  11. Well, I am out, I have a paper due tomorrow, my last one! YEE-HAW I will check in 1st thing in the morning!

good luck with your paper future mrs...and of course your noa2...i know it's coming soon!!!

Thanks Stevo! The paper is pretty much done, just need 800 more words and to turn it in tomorrow. Good thing I am off tomorrow as I won't sleep tonight! lol You got an interview coming up! How scary and exciting that must be!

hi...if you notice with squiggly lines for noa2 and interview...those indicate wishful, hopeful dates...hope i don't jinx us...

  12. WOW! We got my predicted BURST of approvals!!!! WOOOHOOO! Congrats to all from Costa Rica!

I go on a plane ride to see my girl and look at all those approvals while I wasnt looking! Fantastic.

I do not have the tools to update my page but it looks 70% of Jan and 12% of Feb has NOA2!!!

Thanks all for your kind words. Be back next week.

    Ken and Mary

you should go to costa rica more often......jk...ya'll have a great time...

  13. It took them 2 days to review our papers, we were first "touched" last May 1, then we got the approval today, May 3...It feels so greaaaattttt!!!..Thank you Visa Journey!!!..I've made friends through this site too...Goodluck to the rest of us here!!!....CSC is finally at work!!!:thumbs::thumbs:

That's unbelievable. There are filers from December and January who have yet to receive their NOA2. How in the world did a February filer receive an NOA2 before all of them?? Let me offer a lukewarm congratulations. This seems so wrong. I can't celebrate your success when so many others are still waiting when they filed 1-2 months before you did.

I'm going to assume this was a paper work error at CSC. Please know, I hate having to wait for CSC and the NOA2. HATE IT. But I know others have waited longer than me (I'm a February filer, as well) and I would not be celebrating if I received an NOA2 before they did. It's unfair and seems wrong.

all cases are different and have thier own set of circumstances...
