Every case is different depending on the locations.  In ourI-485 filing, it was "received" on Apr 30, 2018, and bio apt was May 25, 2018, so that was less than a month.  Does your husband  remember if it was an NOA that was hard copy in the mail?  If this is for your Biometrics, it's possible you missed your appointment.  Just guessing.

I called USCIS and they told me it couldnt be the biometrics, cause it was not scheduled yet

  2. Hi guys,

We filed for our I-485 a month ago, also we filed our EAD and AP. I havent seen the NOA1 for the letters, I think they are lost. My husband however remembers that we received two NOA1 and one appointment letter with an option to extend it

I called the USCIS and they told me no biometric appointment is scheduled yet and they cant read my mail to tell me whats in there.

Anyone here knows what the appointment is for?? and what is the option to extend??

With a little research I was able to find the details on how you will schedule and complete the medical (see that information below).  BTW, there is a wealth of information for your process located beginning at the embassy website. Follow the links at the website and new windows of information will open before you.

Depending on others from other countries to answer specific questions about your embassy's process could lead to a not so good out come. Therefore I would get familiar with your embassy's website and your country's sub-forum found here on VJ. Use the "Forum" tab at the top of this page and scroll 3/4 of the way down the page for links to your country or region.

It's good if you were to explore away from this thread to be well informed about your personal process. To that end I recommend that you select your flag in your profile,  sorry you can't do that since you haven't completed your profile. That's too bad as there is a lot of information contained from the link that is embedded from your flag being set in a completed profile.

Here is the Medical information and you may want to give them a ring and determine if they will except the case number or what requirements are needed.

    Medical Exam Instructions

All immigrant visa applicants, regardless of age, require a medical examination prior to visa issuance. Only a physician accredited by the U.S. Consulate can perform this exam. It is your responsibility to schedule a medical exam with one of the doctors listed below at least 10 days before your visa interview appointment at the U.S. Consulate. Medical examination results from other physicians will not be accepted.

    Approved Physicians:

    Dr. M Schulte & Dr. J. Schulte
    Nicolaas Maestraat 43
    1071 PN Amsterdam
    Phone: 020-671 0054

Telephone hours for scheduling exam appointments are between 08:30 and 13:00 Monday to Friday.

I normally have a P3 letter from your country but few pass through here who have interviewed in the Netherlands. If/when you get a P3 letter if you could share it with me I could help others who come behind you with those instructions. Thank you.

I called and I was able to schedule an appointment! I will update u on the P3

U can book the medical the moment you have your NVC case number AMS2019------- something like that probably

Just be sure to get interview scheduled within 6 months(i think? double check this, I can't right now i actually have my interview today) after getting the medical, else it expires

Oke, so u booked ur medical before knowing ur exact interview date? Veel succes vandaag! :)

    Why wouldn’t it be?

My case should ship next Tuesday and so I want to be prepared with a medical already booked as the appointments book up, that way I’ll be able to book my interview date once it’s arrived in London for two weeks after the medical.

Oke good to know! Cause ive heard people saying that u shouldnt book it untill ur P3 comes along.. dont know why
