I am starting to collect all the information to file a I-130 for my wife. This will be her second green card application, she received her first green card together with mine, which was employment-based (I think she was what is called a "derivative beneficiary"). When we moved to Europe many years ago she abandoned her GC by filing I-407.
There is the following question on I-130: Has anyone else ever filed a petition for the beneficiary?
Since she was only a derivative beneficiary I think no one had to file a petition for her, so I think the correct answer is NO. Or does whatever my employer filled out for her count as a petition?
