Hello Everyone,Oh man, I have no idea what is going on here in VJ Yardie land. Not sure if many of the folks here even remember me. I wanted to come in an say hello....and catch up on the gossip of course, haha!!
Well here's my gossip. Evan and I are doing great. He's been here almost a YEAR this coming October. I CANNOT believe ho fast time flies. We are also expecting....twins!!
We celebrated our first anniversary here last month and now we are preparing to be new parents. Not sure who else is in the VJ yardie wata but would love to hear about it.I've been relaxing at home since being laid off back in Feb. Got a GREAT job offer last week, but had to decline it due to the twins on the way and not wanting to take up more than I can handle right now. So i am just looking for part time work. Evan's been working since Jan and is also looking for something better so thats helped us out alot. Other than that, I am usually home and BORED OUT OF MY MIND!!! How are you ladies!!??
This is so crazy. I just read your blog today and I just told the ladies you were expecting twins and you were excited. I have twins myself a boy and girl and to see you so happy I was like umm am I the only one who cried when she heard she was having twins? I see they are a blessing now (sort of ) but when I first got the news I told there dr to get another dr because she didn't know what she was looking at.
I followed your journey whether you knew it or not didn't we Quana? We used to stalk her blog site.. It's so nice to see your journey worked out GREAT for you!!!
Oh my gosh were the twins hard for you? I am seriously calm about it, and I guess I am odd in that way cus I hear alot of people do freak out. But for some reason having twins seems more normal for me than if I was to have only 1. My grandmother told me I was going to have twins over a year ago....like she had a prophecy and so from then on I was like "OK". And like a week before I knew I was pregnant my mom was praying for me and said that God told her I would have twins. I was like "OK". So when I had the ultrasound at like 7 weeks and they saw 2 sacs instantly I was like...."well there's the twins!!" It wasnt even a surprise, but like a confirmation.

Hey girlie! Yes still enjoying my home time. Got the little niece in the day some days to so i feel like a housewife and mama sometimes...haha...real different. Dont plan on working til later this year sometime...maybe. haha
how old is she??? girl.. kids at home would force me to seek employment even tho I HATE working.. u have to entertain them too much.. girl my kids have gotten older and a LIL better, but they still wanna be hooked to my side.. GOWEH!!!!!!!! lol.. i really do love kids, just not for too long LOL

Yeah, shes a spoiled one. But I'm used to the kiddies. I'm the 2nd oldest of 7 siblings plus my my owned a daycare when I was in high school. This girl is always wanting me to pick her up, but I'm the queen of getting kids to be more independent.

The welcome letter stated that their GC must be carried on their person at all times! It was the law! However, I am going to do as Sus recommended and make color copies and laminate it and keep the original at home!

I've been around. Just kinda got lost on VJ for awhile. There are so many new people and I couldnt keep up so I just gave up. Been dropping in every blue moon, but had no idea what was happening. How have you been? How is the fam?
ok..glad u ok...we're all good just hanging...how's Evan doing? did he start working?
Yeah, he's been working since Feb. Actually he's the only one working right now. I'm just chillin' haha. Feels good. He's been doin alot of work around the house. Building a deck, we got a jacuzzi, and he's gonna make a gazebo. He built the neighbors garage doors. He's really tapped into his construction/handyman side and has cards and is focusing on getting that business going. It seems really promising too, so thats cool. We both are just in the mindset to not work for anyone anymore. I just cant deal with office politics anymore.
Wow I see he is really hooking up yall's house. So nice to have a handy man around. We never chatted before but I followed your story on your blog. I see you haven't updated it for a while.
Yeah, I kinda got so busy with other stuff, and then no motivation to write on there as much. Thanks for following. I'll probably be posting some pics this week.

last year I went to a party for sandals employees and I heard them talking about cutting AJ from Miami, which was a big shocker!
Yeah I just googled some info and I guess its been in talks since June 2008. Wow. This sucks really bad. I LOVED that flight out of LAX. It was the VERY FIRST way I flew to JA and its the FIRST flight of the day into MBJ. So the airport is so serene and peaceful. You can see the mist and fog over the island when you fly in at a bit after sunrise. Now I have to go and connect in like Fort Lauderdale or Houston on some other airline and that just makes the trip really bad.

They were the ONLY airline I liked and they were the ONLY one that few non-stop. This sucks HARD!! Cause I have an AJ credit card for miles and now I wont ever be able to use them.

Well I just researched and it looks like they canceled back in January all their ATL, MIA, and LAX flights. I cant believe that!! Those are some popular flights....at least I thought. You all may already know about this.

what have you done to build up their credit??
We want to buy a house in a year or two and will need M to have a good credit score

I dont really want to go credit cards..but will do that if we have to.. thought about just getting one and not telling hubby
so he wont be tempted to use it and not pay it off....Do NOT get him a credit card. A credit card really does nothing for your credit if you are not using it. It will just prove that you were able to open credit. You have to have a credit card with a revolving balance on it. The best thing to do is put him as a co-signer on one of your existing cards. Its also a good idea that the card you have is not in a bad state. If you think opening up a credit card will be ok, like they are responsible enough to handle it, I say open it at like a jewelry store. They usually give a small line of credit, and there is not much he can just go frivolously spending on. You could get some jewelry out of it too!
I'd think of it as if you are giving it to your teenage child. Will they be responsible enough for it? Dont help him build BAD credit. Another way to build credit is to get the utility bills in his name. A cell phone is his name is a good one too. I'd try those before the credit card. -

Jgay!!! Girl I was like ho in the heck is this, til you said u changed ur name. I came on here long ago and saw u were expecting. It was before I was. Congrats to you and your husband. I didnt know u had a son. As far as the C-Section thing.....lawd dont get me started. I have been searching high and low for a doc that wont try to force that on me. If I could home birth I would....trust me. But alas, not with the twins. So I am hoping my experience will be safe and well. Gotta keep praying about that one. Oh and as far as the ups and downs.....oh me and Evan have ours too. I should let him post in the blog about how I drive him literally insane sometimes and the cussing and fussing that we can do. Its all about of marriage, haha.
