I filled out the form and they sent me back a message saying "Resend it in the correct format." My lawyer said she sent it in word format but idk if just to be sure if I should do as they say and resend it in the correct format

I have a question for you guys. Has anyone been asked to give the DS-5535 in word format? Meaning that you have to copy and past the question and than answer them. Not on the form.
Thats what my husband was asked. We were sent the form via email but asked to respond in word format

That's true. But why Jesse continues with it is another matter.
Because abusers love feeling powerful. I'm sure he knows that she seeks his attention and he may act like he doesn't like it but he does. It's an ego boost for him. That's why he's always saying "I'm done I'm leaving." Because he knows she'll kiss he's feet just for him to stay but that one time she said she was was done he lost it because an abuser can't stand losing that power over someone. He's that type of guy that if you tell him he did something wrong he'll flip it on you and make it seem like you did something wrong not him.

They shouldn't blame TLC, they are all the definition of desperate. Bringing an engagement ring with you to your first meeting of your "girlfriend" whom you've never spent a single minute with (in Rickey's case, never even seen online) can be viewed as desperate.
Subject #1 spent 6 hours in a looney bin church with people rolling around on the floor, crying, screaming to God. He cried at the airport when he saw her.
Subject #2 sent relatively large amount of money to at least 2 chicks he has never met.
Need I say more?
Your forgot to add that Ricky said he thinks that girl number 2 is in the relationship for all the wrong reasons but forgets that his dumb self came here for Melissa but Melissa looks like she's still in high school and curved him and so he fell back on girl number 2 and he has the audacity to say she's not in it for the right reasons.

I agree that Darcy is irritating. I can't imagine anyone being able to live with her whining and her constant questioning for validation ("does my make up look nice?" etc). But instead of being reasonable and saying to her "look, this isn't working. It was nice knowing you" Jesse continues with his abuse. They both need help.
I think she's the type of woman that puts up with abuse for fear of being forever alone. She may think that if Jesse leaves her that she'll never find someone else which is why she puts up with him. That's what I get from her. She doesn't have any self esteem

She is a nursing assistant by trade, so that is an understandable metric I suppose. But the viewing public could have lived without that image!
Im sure Michael was thinking "Who told I'm gonna stay long enough to wipe your saggy butt cheeks?" Someone please give him a visa already he's been through enough!
And someone please for the love of God get Darcy out of this relationship! I would have already slapped Jesse he really told her "I was still talking." I straight jumped out of my seat and said "No boo boo IM STILL TALKING you shut up because you definitely not talking to me like you crazy." Lol made me think of this tweet https://mobile.twitter.com/_folklaure_/status/1033898571815428097
Jesse is so abusive like yes Darcy is crazy but boy she's putting up with waayyyyyyyy too much emotional abuse

As to Pat Tillman I think his actions were selfless and done without fanfare, I support Colin's right to protest, I just find he does it in a manner to attract as much attention to him as opposed to his cause,
Football is entertainment at that level, do you enjoy movies ? Would you be ok with an actor going offscript and protesting something?
Never heard of Ross clothes .. too bad
In a play yea sure if it's in the middle of a movie I think they would cut that out.
I don't think he denies that either he said he wanted to do a protest to catch everyone's attention and he did just that.
also I feel like this is a very nice and polite debate and I thank you for that.

I choose to respect Pat Tillman over Colin
If people are burning their Nikes, they are idiots in my book too, there is a kid out there in beat up old hand me downs that would be ecstatic to have them. The big deal with Colin is he chose to ignore his principals over money
I wont laugh at you about payless I shop there too
Funny thing about Pat Tillman his wife and friends have all said he would have supported Colin and that they respectfully ask people to stop brining him into the debate like this.
lol Payless shoes are great and Ross clothes are amazing. Why spend money on name brands when you can get the same stuff for less.

time - during the National Anthem
Manner - That was one Army vet that said that, no one is disagreeing it's his right to protest, we disagree with when and how he does it. My favorite non-sports part of a sports event is the National Anthem, the flyovers the display of being American, his protest and the decisions of TV executives has denied me that pleasure
I get that. It may feel a sense of pride to see everyone standing a feeling of unity of being one nation and one people not separated by religion or race in that one moment and it may feel like "Dude not right here not right now." But again it's a beauty to be able to protest even though we may not agree with how he does it and when he does it.

the combination of Nike and Colin is the problem
He was perceived as disrespecting the flag and military when he sat for the Anthem (later changed to kneeling)
He quit his job (opted out of contract) then sued when no one wanted him
He accepts a job from a company that exploits people while talking about kneeling for intolerance
He is wriiten into an ad campaign where he is worshiped for sacrificing his all for a belief
He is a hypocrite
Again though it's his right. I just feel we step into dangerous territory when we start to say "Protest this but not that." "Don't protest here or at this time." We can talk about perceiving if he's disrespectful to the flag or not but that's still his right I don't like people who burn the flag like I can take kneeling but burning the flag that's a whole other slap in the face but that's still their right. Its the beauty of the US that we get to do these things and do it freely while I other countries you can be jailed for this sort of thing. Democracy is a beauty.
But the people who are burning their nikes and cutting their shorts aren't better. Like they don't have a moral high ground to stand on with that. They aren't better than Colin in the Nike regard because to them Sweat Shops weren't a big deal what was a big deal was Colin signing with Nike. Now we can agree that Nike is deal because of its treatment of humans so people should have burned their shoes LONG AGO not because of someone kneeling. Laugh at me but I buy shoes at Payless before I buy Nike shoes.
What about Eric Reid? Why wasn't he offered a job? We can debate about Colin and if he quit and didn't sign a contract but I feel like Eric Reid's case is more compelling.

the time and manner of his protest is what is offensive to many
Time? I'm not sure I get that.
Manner? Well he was sitting before and an Amry vet was the one to say that kneeling would be more respectful and suggested that he kneel instead of just sit.

it's the hypocrisy of his protest, he kneels for injustice but willingly sells out to a company that has a long history of being exploitive.
But again I find it funny that people were willing to wear Nike before but now that Nike and Colin are together it's burn the shoes and cut the clothes. Like Nike is crappy for it's treatment of humans not because it's with Colin. I would HOPE that perhaps now that he has a deal with Nike that maybe he can talk to them about Sweat Shops but I won't be holding my breathe for that.

Just now, Marty Byrde said:
its not ok ? Who here has said it is ?
Just generally what I've seen People say about the situation not really saying anything particular about anyone here or addressing anyone here it's just the whole general situation.

I think most are fine with him protesting. Just not doing it while is in company uniform being paid millions to be on National TV
But that's not what people are saying. They are saying he's disrespecting the flag and the army but really what is more American and Free than protesting and free speech. When you take away someone's right to protest or tell them "You can protest that but not that." What nation have we become? It's a line that once crossed is hard to come back from.

Did you notice the title of this thread?
I did. The reason why people are upset about Nike and Colin is because he's protesting no? Which is why it's ridiculous to be upset with Nike for that when you can be upset about bigger things like Sweat Shops. It's funny seeing people burn their shoes and clothes and think "So they are upset about Colin and Nike but not Nike having sweat shops? Legally protesting crossed the line but having people work in dirt poor conditions now that was okay?"

Stand your ground is not a valid legal defense in this case. The law only applies if you have a legal right to be in the location where the use of force occurred.
She'll probably say that she thought she was in the right apartment and that seeing a man probably trying to rob her apartment and not listening to demands made her afraid for her life.
Thats how I see the defense twisting it. That's why she's still holding on to the whole "I thought it was my apartment." excuse.

Cops shoot more whites than blacks, but the pool of potential targets (whites) is larger also
What are the numbers of blacks being killed who are acting in a benign manner, listening to the instructions of the officer, not advancing with a potential weapon, not feverishly running away? If it's these being killed I agree the cops are over-reacting, but it's not. The guy in Dallas killed in his own apartment - suspect, if it happened that way, I hope she fries.
If Kap is true to his values he would not rep for Nike, they exploit young women in 3rd world countries with slave wages and abhorrent work conditions, so it's ok to exploit them but he takes offense here? Can't be both ways.
Im not talking about the whole Nike thing because I despise the sweat shops and how they make women work but just in general of the whole protesting. I feel like it's his right to protest whatever he wants. However he likes. It's his right. If he wants to kneel for something he feels is injustice than he should and can do it because that's the beauty of America.
i mean I've seen people boycott and protest irrelevant things but they can still do it.

I not aware of Stand Your Ground Law in Texas, and don't see how that could be a defense. I have taken a few handgun classes in Texas, never heard that one.
She entered wrong apartment and killed a person with a gun. She needs to do prison time for her mistake, I am hoping she serves at least 5 years.
It's not called Stand Your Ground in Texas it has different names. (Yes names three different defense laws) not sure which one they'll use
She'll probably say that he didn't follow her commands and she was afraid for her life so she shot at him.

It's still a problem for cops to shot black men and can't be denied. When blacks kill blacks it's usually gang crime. So how are people gonna compare gang crime to cops? Cops should be held to a higher standard. You can't compare gang crime to cops killing innocent people. Like cops are suppose to be trained no? Gangs aren't trained in anything so it's ridiculous to even compare the two really. Just like when that officer shot that women from Australia. It was ridiculous and shows cops grab the gun and shot way too fast. Just like the cop who shot a man in his own apartment.
I don't get why people are upset. It's his right to protest whenever and however he likes. It's Free Speech the same thing the right claims that the left is trying to take away from them. It's ridiculous that they want to be up in arms about it when it's HIS right. An Army veteran is the one who even recommended that Colin kneel. A ARMY VETERAN.
More power to him really.

Not really
A warrant was executed for his apartment, by law it has to be done within 72 hours. Then the findings were released, it was just part of the process and in the correct time frame when it was released.
While finding weed in his apartment doesn't make him a bad guy, I am pretty sure it will be entered into evidence and at the trail it maybe relevant as in the part of the defense.
Just a FYI
It wasn’t the City Of Dallas that released the findings. It became public record and the media got a hold of it and put it out there. Blame the media for releasing the results of the search warrant.
It's not even close to relevant if he was high or not. If he had smoked that day or not. Because he didn't shot anyone he didn't do anything wrong. The amount of weed he had is a misdemeanor not even worth prison time if he was alive.
I read somewhere that they want to use to the Stand Your Ground law and if they do than they all need to be slapped. How did she fear for HER life? Let's be honest you're sitting at home walking around maybe getting something to drink or eat and Bam! All the sudden some cop is in your house screaming for you to point your hands up pointing a gun at you. Now that. That's fear.

That is about lotery visas????
All type of visas. Even visitor visas and work visas. It originally was only if the person at the embassy thought something was fishy but in April 2018 they started to hand it out more frequently and to a lot more people.

I just wanted everyone to see this because a lot of people still believe that this doesn't effect a lot of people
"The administration expects the move to affect nearly 15 million would-be immigrants to the United States, according to the documents. That would include applicants for legal permanent residency. There are exemptions for diplomatic and official visas, the State Department said." https://edition.cnn.com/2018/03/29/politics/immigrants-social-media-information/index.html
15 MILLION that's a far cry from the 65,000 they said that it would effect originally

Yes, I've emailed them so many times they stopped replying after couple of times. My husband made an appointment couple months ago when he was visiting me, the lady was all like oh your case looks okay you just have to wait for the clearance because it's in Washington DC not in Sudan "where the embassy is".
We've had the congressman's office inquire on our behalf. The embassy replied by the same generic answer: this case is under administrative processing, once it's done they'll contact us.
I'm praying sth magical happens or so and I get it this month!! May we all do!
Yea the day that the told my husband to just wait a month or two and he was like "Am I denied?" And she said "No it's just going to our main offices in the US and that's why it takes a month or two." The even weird thing about my husbands case is that his status is Issued not in AP and I thought that would change but it hast and it's still Issued

Any Muslim country allows a man up to 4 four wives doesn't necessarily mean all Muslim men marry 4 women.
But that intriguing thing is she's a stripper how do you tell your Muslim parents "Yea she use to take her clothes off for money now I want to marry her." Now that I want to see
