I went to the SSA office a week after our marriage but a month after arriving in the US. U can get a SSN without the EAD, the card will just say "not valid for work w/o DHS authorization'. Just bring your marriage certificate and your husband's passport.

She only needs to buy one-way ticket to the US. If she knows a travel agent back home, she can ask them for a specific flight date or if she has a preferred airline. The travel agent will ask for a photocopy her passport with the visa in it if she will confirm a flight. So what il suggest is for her to look for flights first and confirm it when she has the visa with her. Since she has the money, she can pay it from there and will be issued an e-ticket. What happened to me was, I did the medical all over again for AOS/EAD just to make sure. I called my insurance and they said it was covered but the surgeon wont accept insurance just cash. So i just did the claim afterwards. Just make sure your surgeon will accept the insurance. Goodluck.

You can register online yourself, u just need the receipt number in making a portfolio and the system will just ask you to fill datas. A touch means when the latest updated date on the portfolio section changes without a change on the message.

Hi guys, please add my name to the list of CSC transferees. I received the mail last Mar. 10 that my AOS was transferred to CSC and then got 3 emails and a touch on Mar. 11 which is a Sunday. I didnt know they work on Sundays too. They must be so overload with work they have to do overtime. I just hope i get approve soon. Thanks

Hi there. I applied for SSN after our marriage. Afterwards we filed for AOS and EAD. Just wait for 2 or more weeks before you go to your local SSA office, just bring your certified marriage certificate and her passport. And if u want, u can also apply for a state id afterwards. Right now, Im waiting for the decision on my AOS and EAD. Goodluck to both of you and especially to my kababayan.
