  1. Hmmm. I'm trying to guesstimate when we'll get our interview. Packet 3 gets returned to the embassy tomorrow -- I notice someone has an early July interview scheduled -- maybe mid-July? (assuming that Packet 4 gets turned around quickly.)

Good luck -- I'm sure you'll get your interview date soon after you return P3. I'd say mid-July looks about right given what's showing up in timelines right now. But you never know -- fortune may smile on you and give you one earlier! Here's hoping that happens!!!

HI ALL, congrats to those who have their visa and good luck to those with interviews this month i have a wee problem i need help with...

last week my dearly beloved went back to states, after being here for week, when he got home he noticed his camera was missing :crying::crying: all the pictures we took are gone :angry: apparently the lock on case was broken and he didnt replace it :blush: anyway, so now i have no pictures to take to embassy with me to prove that we were together. i have other stuff like his visa statement with hotel bill on it and his flight reciept ...... is this enough to prove to embasy that we were together??? appreciate your comments plz!!!:thumbs:

  2. Thanks Sue, Kim, safitu, jlvr and anyone I missed! We are so excited! We bought our plane tickets ages ago, as soon as his interview date was set, so I am glad his Visa was already delivered by the courier in 2 short days - - WOW!!

I am flying over to pick him up tomorrow, then we are getting ready for June 9th - weird so many things happen that day - it is also my parent's 40th Anniv. this year! We thought that might bring us luck! :D

Good luck to everyone - keep the faith and don't let it drive you crazy. The wheels grind along slowly, but we are proof that they are at least moving!! We will stop back in soon for everyone's progress report -- I want good news!

  3. Ok, I must not be following your train of thought!

At any rate, we're going to do the courthouse thing first and then plan something later. No way we'd find a venue that's free during a weekend this summer anyway. Plus we want to get his AOS (mainly for AP and EAD) sent off ASAP.

Hehe - ah - it's early, my brain doesn't function well in the morning - I'm probably not making much sense!! It just that we don't know when he'll be able to come over because who knows how long we'll be stuck at CSC. The 90 days starts when he arrives. Just hard to nail down a date for a wedding before getting any sort of approval, but near impossible to book a venue to hold that many people without booking further than 3 months in advance. I know we could do the courthouse thing and then the big party later, but we really want to do it all on the same day. Just being too demanding, I suppose!!

I still may not be making sense. I claim Monday Morning Blues as my excuse.

helloooo!!!! the 90 days starts from when he comes into the states. He has 6 months from visa approval to decide when he is coming over :whistle::unsure::unsure: stay calm :wacko:

  4. They'll deliver it where ever you want them to. They give you a slip of paper where you fill in your details whilst in the Embassy and, as a rule, the visa takes roughly a week (some come earlier, some later).

Give them your home address and go wait for it there. I DON'T suggest you give them your hotel's address...

I agree with this, it may come soon, it may not and I would not give them the hotel address. Give them your home address, go home and it'll arrive :D

Thanks for the info guys - its not what I wanted to hear but hey.

Its a bit of a soul destroying process people. To get to spend only 90 days with your Fiancee before you are married is #######.

Obviously we had last year before Adrienne went home and when I was in USA but its not ideal is it.

I know it will all be worth it in the end but the US Immigration really do push you to the limit.

Without our prayer life, emails and phone calls we never would have made it.....

    P

Eh? What do you mean by that?

:unsure::unsure: EMM !!! WHAT DO YOU MEAN 90 DAYS???? YOU LOOKING FOR LONGER??? YOU WILL HAVE THE REST OF YOUR LIFE TOGETHER :blink::blink::blink::blink:

  5. You do! Or at least you choose what flight you want, and that'll tell you where your POE is.

Just a small word of warning though, my husband did his K1 entry at Toronto Pearson, and had a WRETCHED experience. I'm sure that wasn't the case for everyone (or even most) but we will never travel through CBP at Toronto Pearson again.

    :star: Cass (bebop the great)

THANKS FWAGUY AND BE BOP, ur replies are appreciated. i flew into toronto pearson and got a guy with attitude last time i was over in dec, apparently because i put on my little card thingy  that i was staying in canada for week and when he asked where i was going i said rochester ny . so he arrogantly asked me why i had put staying in canada for week oops silly me

anyway i have thought of another question

WHAT DO I PUT ON THAT LITTLE CARD WHEN IM ASKED HOW LONGI,M IN CANADA FOR AND DO I EXPLAIN ABOUT K1 VISA AND THAT IM GOIN THROGH THE CANADIAN AMERICAN BORDER????? YES I KNOW THE ANSWER TO THE FIRST PART BUT JUST WANT IT CLARIFIED THANKS

    :help::thumbs::whistle: AGGY

  7. It's pretty obvious if you have a divorce decree that you were originally married.

You'd think. But, there are still some Consulates that require the previous marriage certificate + the divorce decree from that marriage.

HI GUYS i called london embassy this morning asking if i needed previous marriage certificate. HE SAID YES!!!!! seems a bit daft to me if you have divorce papers to prove its done and dusted . seems like more paper work for nothing not to mention cost of getting a replacement like i have to get doh!!!! HAPPHY EASTER :dance::thumbs:

  8. I have no idea why it gets sent that way. The mind boggles :)

I got an e-mail from the NVC saying it was sent on the 15th, and then 2 actual letters, one saying the 16th and then another saying the 17th!

The first tracking number that fitted my criteria (London) was on the 18th... I got the 'packet 3' 10 days after that was delivered :)

HI THERE , QUESTION!!! HOW DO U FIND OUT HOW TO TRACK UR FILE COMING TO THE LONDON EMBASSY DOH!!! I WENT ON DFL SITE BUT GOT LOST DOIN IT AND TRYIN TO FIGURE IT OUT PLZ HELP AGAIN LOL!!!!! :help::help:

  9. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

    Uh huh.

Anyhoo....congrats Tracy. I think that if we could all go to the embassy with you and Chas we would. I think yours is the most "rooted for" K-1 in the history of VJ!

  10. Packet 3 arrived today!

Got a quick question for those in the know. As my finace is in the UK with me and will be until the interview, we are concerned of where we get the Affidavit of support notorised

    .

    We read:

If you are outside the United States, the affidavit

must be sworn to or notice affirmed before a U.S.

    consular or immigration officer.

Does anyone know where I can go to get this done in the Uk? Can it be done at the interview?

WELL DONE U2 UR WELL ON THE WAY TO BEING FIRST FEB FILER TO GET UR VISA LETS KNOW WOTS HAPPENING :dance::thumbs:

  11.:blush::innocent: HELLO AGAIN its the mad scottish wummin lol just been reading the nvc site

can you tell me what is an agent of choice???????? when they send you packet 3 do i need one ???????an agent that is!!!!!

    :help::help:

Strictly speaking, the Agent of Choice is a person here in the US, that will receive information regarding a pending petiton....have the "power of attorney" so to speak to mail in form/fees/ and documentation. The agent of choice is designated at some point in the petition process, and then tha person takes over....and is notified w/ any progress on the petiton in question.

But if your petition is a K1, you don't have to worry about this. For the K-1 visa you do not have the "agent of choice" option.

Thank you for your quick response to my question guys :thumbs::thumbs: aggyxxx
