  1. So, my interview was 04/29/2013......well over a year from when I filed. My appointment was at 8am in New Orleans. I was called at about 8:10am, so I didnt have to wait long. The interviewer was a very nice lady....the whole interview was pleasant. She got the civics and English texts over and done with first. I passed them all. Then she went through my N-400 form and that was it. She didnt ask for any additional information or want to look at any origional documents. This might be because I had been married for over 5 years by the time I had my interview. I was givien my N-625 saying that I had passed. I could have gone to an Oath Ceremony 2 days after in New Orleans but my husband had to get back home for work (5 hours away). I asked if it was possible to got to a ceremony in Jackson, MS as its alot closer to where we live....the interviewer said she'd try and see if it was possible. The whole interview took a little more than 10 minutes. Now just waiting for Oath Ceremony.

I guess I was just unlucky as for why it took so long for my interview. I was never asked for any additional info prior to interview. All's well that end's well.

  2. You still haven't had your interview date yet?? I had to wait for a long time during ROC, but then went through super fast for N-400. Maybe they were compensating?

Nope....not even in line yet! Ive had a smooth ride through everything so far.....so if just having to wait a bit longer is the worst that happens....then I'll take it gladly lol

  3. Hang in there is all I can honestly offer...I am in the same boat...although I did get pre interview letter so I can't complain too much.. I compared other folks as well in my DO and they all fell in the 4 month to 6 month range...

If after first two weeks of July nothing happens then infopass it will be and then higher authority!

Others with my DO have already gotten their interviews....including an April filer. I am past 60 days. USCIS said my DO takes 5 months on average. I plan on waiting till Monday then calling again...hopefully I'll get to talk to someone willing to conscript me to someone who can do some digging.

  4. dont worry JandC, my passport was expired and with my maiden name on it like yours, but when i was interviewed last week of monday, the interviewer never bother to ask for it, she only get my green card and my colorado ID..as long as you have the marriage contract with you..your ok, but just the same bring your old passport just in case they asked for it ( bring all the original papers you submitted when you file the citizenship just to be ready) ..good luck on your interview..

That's good to hear....thank you for putting my mind at rest! Not scheduled for interview yet but hopefully soon! Thanks again!

  5. Stll under initial review. Called USCIS last week and they said it takes an average of 5 months at New Orleans...and to call back if not heard anything by then. Been chatting with an April New Orleans filer who is already scheduled for interview....so I guess I'm just unlucky. Oh and the lady I talked to had to ask if I did my bio....obviously not showing on the system....I didn't get a touch online after bio was done either. Just gotta wait and see!
