Today marks a year since my priority date....and I have finally been scheduled for interview! I got the email yesterday. Looking forward to receiving the letter!
-
Am I the only one still waiting?? I've had no movement since April. I've put in 3 service requests and they just yell me to keep on waiting. I'm going to England. To visit my family next week.... I plan on doing an info pass when I get back.
-
Yay me2!!!!!!
Hopefully I'll get mine soon. Its our 5th wedding anniversary tomorrow.....an interview letter would be a nice gift' lol
-
2 service requests and still haven't heard anything.
-
Still waiting..... nothing has come from the service request.
-
Just got off the phone with USCIS.....have passed the 5 month average waiting time for my local office. Service request has been. Put in for my case. Hoping this will move things along.
-
Maybe you should book an InfoPass if that's an option for you to find out what's the hold up.
I probably will once the 5 months is up and then dont do anything over the phone.
-
You still haven't had your interview date yet?? I had to wait for a long time during ROC, but then went through super fast for N-400. Maybe they were compensating?
Nope....not even in line yet! Ive had a smooth ride through everything so far.....so if just having to wait a bit longer is the worst that happens....then I'll take it gladly lol
-
Still waiting......20 days until I exceed New Orleans average processing time of 5 months.
-
Am still waiting for my interview......not even in line yet. *whistles*
-
Oh wow that's great! Now wait 2 to 6 weeks for the actual letter...patiently!
Lol.....I'm just happy to know that they haven't forgotten about me!
-
Guess who just got a yellow letter through the mail??!!! This girl did!!!! Woop!
-
My biggest fear is that my application is lost. I'm going to try calling today and see if I get some info.
Eh....would suck if they were lost! I'm going to call on Monday...hopefully I'll get to talk to tier 2 peeps this time.
-
I wonder if they are waiting on my 5th anniversary (October).......even though I filed based on 3 yrs of marriage. Just pondering! Lol
-
*high-five* Waiting right next to you
Misery likes company! Haha

Hang in there is all I can honestly offer...I am in the same boat...although I did get pre interview letter so I can't complain too much.. I compared other folks as well in my DO and they all fell in the 4 month to 6 month range...
If after first two weeks of July nothing happens then infopass it will be and then higher authority!
Others with my DO have already gotten their interviews....including an April filer. I am past 60 days. USCIS said my DO takes 5 months on average. I plan on waiting till Monday then calling again...hopefully I'll get to talk to someone willing to conscript me to someone who can do some digging.

dont worry JandC, my passport was expired and with my maiden name on it like yours, but when i was interviewed last week of monday, the interviewer never bother to ask for it, she only get my green card and my colorado ID..as long as you have the marriage contract with you..your ok, but just the same bring your old passport just in case they asked for it ( bring all the original papers you submitted when you file the citizenship just to be ready) ..good luck on your interview..
That's good to hear....thank you for putting my mind at rest! Not scheduled for interview yet but hopefully soon! Thanks again!
-
My passport is still in my maiden name.....wondering if this will cause a problem at interview?
-
Still under initial review....eh.
-
Stll under initial review. Called USCIS last week and they said it takes an average of 5 months at New Orleans...and to call back if not heard anything by then. Been chatting with an April New Orleans filer who is already scheduled for interview....so I guess I'm just unlucky. Oh and the lady I talked to had to ask if I did my bio....obviously not showing on the system....I didn't get a touch online after bio was done either. Just gotta wait and see!
-
Congrats to all who have passed their interviews!
-
Then I need to shut up then. Not even in line for you?
Maybe urs will be IN LINE AND SCHEDULED the same day..who knows
Hopefully we will see something in the 19 days left for the month!
Nope...no updates since bio scheduled 4/5. Bio was 4/18. Hopefully this month will see progress for us both!
-
I will do that then
Mine is almost 60 days
We will see what happens
Almost 2 months since bio for me too....not even in line for interview!
-
Congratulations to those who passed there interviews! I haven't heard anything since my bio. Hopefully I'll be put in line for interview scheduling soon.
N-400 FILERS - MARCH 2012
in US Citizenship General Discussion

So, my interview was 04/29/2013......well over a year from when I filed. My appointment was at 8am in New Orleans. I was called at about 8:10am, so I didnt have to wait long. The interviewer was a very nice lady....the whole interview was pleasant. She got the civics and English texts over and done with first. I passed them all. Then she went through my N-400 form and that was it. She didnt ask for any additional information or want to look at any origional documents. This might be because I had been married for over 5 years by the time I had my interview. I was givien my N-625 saying that I had passed. I could have gone to an Oath Ceremony 2 days after in New Orleans but my husband had to get back home for work (5 hours away). I asked if it was possible to got to a ceremony in Jackson, MS as its alot closer to where we live....the interviewer said she'd try and see if it was possible. The whole interview took a little more than 10 minutes. Now just waiting for Oath Ceremony.
I guess I was just unlucky as for why it took so long for my interview. I was never asked for any additional info prior to interview. All's well that end's well.
