Hello, we applied for i-751 removal of conditions on december 2020 and till this date, we have no green card nor a interview date
Case is stuck on "Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview" since october of 2021.
What is my next step as to the extension of 24 months is expiring soon as well.
Thanks for all your help! -
Hello guys, sorry to update you so late. As of now, my wife is in USA (10 days now).
From the interview date to the date we got the passport it took like 3-4 business days.
My process was very smooth. From start to visa in hand exactly 10 months.
Hopefully the same for everyone else.
Good luck everyone!

I got married 1st of June 2017 and signed the certificate with my new name. I changed my name officially in late October 2018 so all the paperwork before that was filled using my maiden name (when asked for aliases, I would also mark down my married name). I did my medical with my maiden name (as I hadn't yet received my new passport or ID card) but to the interview I went already with my new passport. Absolutely no problem whatsover. Just grab your old passport with when going to the interview.
For the medical, write the same name that you have in your current passport. If she already has new passport, use the married name that is in the passport.
Thanks so much Eleona.
I really appreciate it.
All the best

Hello everyone,
When we first started the process, my wife didn't have a new passport under my last name and we used her maiden last name in every step of the way.
Now everything got approved and even an appointment date is scheduled, she changed her passport and now she has a new passport under her married name.
We just want to know how we proceed now that everything in the applications is under her maiden name and when we go to the interview she would have a new passport. And another question, when scheduling the medical exam online, should we use the old passport name or the new passport name.
Thanks in advance everyone and good luck to all people out there with their processes of applications.
Best regards

I am curious to know if anyone on here has had their case completed at NVC. We've submitted everything and paid our fees...just waiting anxiously for confirmation...anyone had their case complete? If so, how long did it take? thanks.
I had it completed and approved all the documents just waiting for an interview date for 4 weeks now. Do you have any idea what is the usual timeframe they schedule an interviews?

Hello all. Just recieved an email from ncc that all my documents are accepted and they are going to schedulue a interview date for my wife in her country.
do you guys know whats the timeframe from nvc supporting documents accepted to the interview date?

She has changed her name in other supporting documents?? I think if her name is consistent with passport, forms and supporting documents, then there is no need to get a new passport..
There is no mandatory requirement to change surname after wedding.. you do know that.. right!!
Thanks for answering. When we applied, our lawyer applied under my last name for her even though I gave him the old passport. She changed her last name And her personal certificate shows her with my last name. My lawyer is telling me she can come her and do some changes on the green card but didnt understand him very well on the phone.
edit: nevermind, i see now on the main application, her old last name was used the on matching the passport and on the other names used there they put my last name and her name. I guess i dont have to get a new passport

Hello eveyone.
We are on the last process of the visa, just waiting on an interview date.
I have a question for you guys.
Do we have to get a new passport for my wife because she has her passport valid with her old last name and when I submitted the papers online I submitted her old passport under her last name. Would this be a problem in the visa process? Should we get a new passport for her under my last name or is it fine?
Thanks and good luck to everyone

Hello everyone, does this mean nvc recieved the approval of the case?
And when do you guys think I should start calling to get the invoice number?
Thanks all

Hello everyone.
i was checking the new site and it shows that my case was approved August 2, 2018. I filed on February 17, 2018.
Make sure that everyone check the new site because I was checking the old site before and it was not showing any updates for me.
Good luck everyone.

Our case was accepted February 12 (NOA1), Texas Service Center. Any ideas when we are going to be approved for the next step? As of now the Texas service center date shows that they are looking at applications from Nov 4th, 2017. Is this true? If thats the case I am in for the long wait
