I'm in the middle of updating it too. I called Nexus and they told me that I could use the Expiration of the stamp for the green card in my application, but to update on the profile I think they need to see the card/letter/etc.
That's what I did too. I just put my stamp expiration in the renewal application. I feel like its taking a while to renew. I applied on Sept 26th. When did you apply?

Just a reminder to everyone who has received their new PR card and who has Nexus or Global Entry.....you should update your new expiry date online with the trusted traveler program before you travel. Otherwise you 'll need to see the CO and won't be able to use the readers and expedite your entry and exit.
I'm in the middle of renewing my nexus. I think I can update it after it gets approved... Or bring my new gc when I go up there for the interview. Hmm have to play this one by ear

Hi guys. I know some folks on this forum made mentioned of getting 7 years on their drivers license after getting the 2nd extension letter and applying for DL. In my case, I got the second extension letter as well in July and applied for my DL in September of 2018. On Getting my DL last week, I realized my expiry date shows as March 2020. FYI: my NOA is July 25th 2017 for ROC (EAC17298) and I also applied for my N400 July. Thoughts? Anyone in similar situation or experience.
I think it depends on what state you are in. I just renewed my drivers license in August and they made it expire in the same day as my i551 stamp, which is Nov 2019

Fat chance of that happening for me. He hates the weather (so do I frankly).
One of the main reasons pushing me to get it is acquiring his social security benefits should he die. And should that happen I will need that income to maintain survival. I'm not about to return to the work force in my senior years. I haven't fully investigated this but from what I understand, PR's don't qualify.
Oooooh, I didn't know that! My husband has a pension too. I wonder if I would be able to be that if I wasn't a citizen.

This is kind of my thought too. The only other thing that makes me consider naturalization is if my husband and I want to move to Canada at some point. I would hate for all this money and waiting to be wasted. It also would be nice to be done with USCIS, but for now I'll just wait and finish ROC before making decisions
I'm with you on that. I think I might apply at the 5 yr mark, so I have time to really think about it.

My sentiments exactly. I’m finding this one difficult as well.
I know most people dream of being US citizens, but I really see the only benefit is that I no longer have to deal with immigration.

We're not applying either. I'm a German citizen and don't want to lose my German citizenship so I need to file for retention of German citizenship before I apply for us citizenship.
I'm probably will at the 5 yr mark. I'm Canadian and know I wont lose my Canadian citizenship, but it still makes me uneasy to say I will relinquish all other citizenships to become a US citizen

Congratulations. Mine wac17298. I live in cincinnati, still waiting...:(
I was surprised. I wasn't expecting it until November at the earliest. Yours will be soon!

I got one last summer. I just called and told them I was a lpr and not a US citizen. She said OK you're good. And that was it. I never had to send anything back.
-
I would sent in everything you have. Since you purchased a home together I assume you have homeowners insurance. You could send that in along with vehicles.

You sent it to a service center, right? If you read the special instructions, you’ll see it will only work if sent to a lockbox
Oh. OK! That makes sense.

I didn't even send the phone bills. Just the account info with both our names on it.
-
I added the form to my packet and not once have I recieved an email or text. It was sent July 2017.
-
I'm 17299 .... Getting super antsy now that I know it's getting close!
-
Im pretty sure I already had my package ready to be sent when I got the letter. You don't need to wait. Just send it in when your window opens
-
I got a letter saying I was a Conditional greencard holder and I needed to remove conditions. I think I got it fairly close to when my window opened.
-
I never got a biometrics appointment. It wasn't until 10 months after I filed they sent me a letter saying they can reuse my previous biometrics.

I file as married separate. Whatever gets me the most money back lol
-
I sent two. One from a friend in the united states and one from my friend in Canada. I haven't received anything from uscis in regards to it, but I know they don't hold much weight in an application.
-
I received the official watermarked letter yesterday and never got a courtesy copy. Also, I don't have a lawyer.
-
I just received my 18 month extension today. My previous letter would have expired in three days so I went and got the stamp a few weeks ago as it was so close.
-
It was finally issued to me in my married name. It took 4 phone calls and three visits but they finally gave me a dl. They were still telling me I can't get one bc the names do not match but I had received a call from licence control that told me they could. And they went with whatever is in the uscis docs, So I just refused to leave until they gave me a dl in whatever name they could. I made them call back multiple times until they got someone who said it was fine. Thanks for all your help and input. Hoping to get my 10yr soon so next time will be no issues.

I did mine online too. Hopefully it'll get approved soon. Been waiting since September. I thought it would have been quicker since it was a renewal.
