We called and the guy said it looked to be the correct one and fine to him and that he would send it to his supervisor for review..

now the waiting game up to two weeks for an email.

Problem is our account says it’s rejected, no reason.. just please upload applicable document.. which confused the guy on the phone too..it’s almost as if the person reviewing the document didn’t even see it attached.. but my thoughts are that they’d if said missing not so much rejected if that was the case.

I’m so tempted to resubmit it.. but I’ve been told not to touch the account until we’ve heard from the supervisor.. I’ll be truely pissed if the supervisor then reviews it, finds a problem and then I have to resubmit and wait another 9 weeks for approval.. making it 11 more weeks before dq..

We are in exactly the same situation except when my husband called he got a guy that was extremely rude (I understand we are just another number in a very long long but we are all human and just trying to get things right for them) He said couldn't see the certificate and that his supervisor said we had to submit a letter stating that it was the correct certificate. We said that we will then have to wait another 8 weeks to just he told no again and to resubmit an applicable document. He refused to send on for review and we had to submit a letter. We decided to ring again and got another person who again said they could not see it but they would send to a different department to review and to call in a few weeks for an update. I have no idea what is going on now and we are in total limbo..the correct certificate has been sent so I have no idea what to do. They said it maybe because it's the wrong issuing authority but there is no other authority in Australia to get this from. What a nightmare. Keep me updated on how your getting on and I will do the same.

Ok finally got a response from NVC.. initial submission 14 Nov.

all documents accepted except 1.. one of my police certificates.. note says please attach appropriate certificate 🙄

I checked the one we submitted, is the correct one and nothing wrong with it.. so I got hubby to call NVC and ask... the lady looked at it and said it’s correct and can’t see a problem, so has refurred it to a supervisor for review.. we now been told not to do anything and wait for an email in 1-2 weeks.. 😑

Hi, the same has happened to me. What was the outcome??

Hi, apologies for duplicating my post. However, the post you removed had replies as I can see them in my notifications but I can not view them now as my post has been removed. Can you please tell me what the members responses where to my question??

I posted on the other forum as it was specificically for poeple applying from New Zealand/Australia. If I am unable to post in both can you reopen my post on that forum and delete this one.

  5. Please could someone offer any advice on completing question 12 in part 4 - we do not have an address in the USA yet where I (the beneficiary) intend to live..my husband (USC) lives here in NZ with me.  He has lived here since he was 11 and is planning to reestablish a domicile so we do not have a US address yet.  Im not sure we are able to leave the question blank..if I put “same” as the form states then that will be my address here in NZ not a US address. Has anyone here on this forum struggled with this question and completed it successfully?

  7. My husbands family live here now so we are unable to do that. No worries we will write an explanation on the additional info page. One more question..did you write the petitions name and number the pages of the supporting documents? Sorry to bother you with all these questions, I just know you must of done everything correctly as your form was approved. Thanks again, you’ve been a lifeline!

  8. Thank you! We are going to post on Monday so hopefully they will be kind and let us send without a name. One question we are stuck on is question 12 in part 4 - we do not have an address in the USA yet where we intend to live..is this an issue you had? Im not sure we are able to leave blank..if I type same as the form states then that will be my address here in NZ. I’d never thought filing out a form would be so stressful..I’m even doubting my own common sense 😩

  9. Hi, thanks for that. We are not typing, we are hand writing as this was easier for us. I am using my common sense, although when you are doing something as important as this you can sometimes even question your own sense of common sense. I just thought this forum could help by getting some advice from people that have already been through this very daunting process. Thanks guys

  10. Hi everyone

Myself and my husband are about to send off our application packet and we are slightly concerned about the blank spaces on our forms. I have read a lot of conflicting advice regarding whether to leave blank space or to put none or N/A. We are worried that our application may get denied due to blank spaces or by putting the wrong thing in these spaces as it may be classed as incorrectly filed. Please can someone help that has already sent their application off without any problems. We both live overseas so there are certain parts in the address lines that do not apply - do I leave blank or put n/a and also we are not using an interpretor etc so do I leave those sections blank. Any advice would be much appreciated.

  11. Hi, I am also about to send my I-130 packet off from New Zealand and need to send this via DHL or Fedex..could you possibly let me know how you did this? I have looked online and the quotes are around $130..did you use your own packaging or theirs? Your advise would be greatly appreciated as I really do not want to mess this part up. Have you had any news yet since you filed? Thanks
