    DCF

    Hello;

    YES, Electronic filling. Sheesh!!!

If your husband is in the USA, you cannot do DCF. This is when you file directly with an embassy because the US spouse lives abroad, and doesn;t involve the NVC at all. It sounds like you were chosen for electronic processing.

    DCF

    Hello:

I want to know why we were chosen to do DCF. The mail is so much easier. My husband is in Missouri ,and, I of course in Canada..............waiting. We are at the AOS, paid and fill out. I also did the DS-260, complete, it says. Haven't heard anything for 10 days now. My interview will be in Montreal. Which will cost at least $1000 for Hotel. Panel physician, I have all the vaccinations and tither test. I still don't know how to send files a la PDF. It is complicated, I would rather just do snail mail, but NVC, says we cannot, we were chosen to do DCF. There is a rumor going round that DCF is stopping, in August? Wait and wait, it is driving me crazy.

  1. Hello:

Is anyone doing electronic filling? It is new and difficult. Here, in Canada, the mail is no longer on strike but there are long delays. We have been chosen to do electronic filling with NVC. So far so good. We are waiting for my husbands AOS to be accepted. Then I don't know what is next.I did the 260 on line. I don't know how to turn files into PDF and send from my e-mail.

  2. Hi;

I am doing snail mail, with DS-230. The reason for that is I do not understand all the electronic part. I am mailing all original copy's and copies. The bar code and a letter of content. The mail is on a rotating strike. Somehow I got to be agent, not my husband, so my husband has received nothing. He e-mail them today to make contact with NVC. We are CR-1. I am stalling because I still do not have police check nor blood lab test. I work long hours and very difficult to get time off. I will have time off for interview in Montreal. Hard to book everything, panel physician, hotel which is new to me. Hotel are pretty well book in the summer in Montreal, another problem, but I am way ahead of myself..lol. And my husband in Missouri needs to mail me papers that I will need for interview. So, I ask him to fill out his affidavit of support so I could have all his W2 and papers. I am worried about originals getting lost in mail during a strike. Thanks for the response.

Have a look at the consulate's website, everything is listed for both packets : http://montreal.usconsulate.gov/content/content.asp?section=visas&document=index

You can mail the consulate everything listed for a said Packet when DOS tells you it's been mailed to you (1-202-633-1225, press 1 then 0). It saves you the snail mail time. As a CR-1 beneficiary I believe the consulate will assign your interview.

The physician panel is available here : http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3739.html

If you have questions that haven't been answered yet on the forum, feel free to post it!

  3. Thanks for the address. Are you saying it took 3 days to get back papers from Panel Physician. Was it mailed by courier to your Hotel or did you pick them up? Was it hard to get an appointment? I will hopefully be staying in a Hotel close to Consulate. Is the panel physician far from that area? I have all vaccinations. I do not have my blood lab test, yet. I am calling again Monday. You see I work a 60 hour work week. It was hard to get time off to do a lot of things. So, waiting on lab test. Also the mail is on a rotating strikes, my doctor receptionist is afraid to mail test ( after she receives it). Thanks for the response.

  4. Hello all:

I will eventually have interview appointment in Montreal. Does anyone know of address and numbers of panel physicians? Also, I have to get everything done, for interview. I have so much money and time off from work, to stay in Montreal. For example, I read that it can take 4 to 5 days to get papers from Panel physician back to me, not even in time for interview. I can only stay in Montreal for 8 days. That is in a Hotel. YUK, and alone. Unfortunately, I am still waiting now for blood lab test from local hospital, it has been now 3 weeks. Still haven't done my police check, and the mail is on strike. I have PK 3, which is a bit confusing. I want to just fly over the border and exist with my husband. Wish things were easer.

  5. Hi there:

Thanks to all who responded so quickly.

I am so happy I don't need Hep A, but I do have Hep B. I thought I needed. It was expensive. Anyway, the other good thing is that Zoster is no longer needed , now that is expensive and very hard to get where I live, in fact there wasn't any available at all in the province. I think I have them all. The thing is my blood test for (antibody titers) is in 2006. But ya know blood test don't change, it's either there or not. I have trying to get this re-done. I work long hours per week. My Doctor works short hours per week..lol. I am going to try the after hour clinic this Saturday . I have explain a few things on the phone. May the Lord help me with this. oh, the titers test does come from the local hospital.

    Marie :help:

The verbiage they use for the 2 Hep vaccinations is:

Recommended if some other risk factor is present (e.g., based on medical, occupational, lifestyle, or other indications)

    It's not mandatory

    Here's their chart:

    http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/recs/schedules/downloads/adult/mmwr-adult-schedule.pdf

  6. Hello all:

Is Hep "A" required for vacciantion needed to immigrate to USA from Canada. IR-1 or CR1?

I notice Hep B is no longer needed and zoster.

    Thanks in advance

  7. Hello all:

I received my choice of agent in my maiden name as I had posted about a week ago. So this is what I did. I name myself as choice of agent on the form. I didn't register on line to NVC because I had heard of many problems concerning the bar- code, so at least the postal will be paper. I also wrote a cover letter with ( attention: Please note -------- is my maiden name, married name is ------------ as in passport and also in 1-130. I was afraid of a name mistake when I get to interview. The names will not match, I would rather try to correct that now instead of being in Montreal with the wrong name. I did keep my old passport, which has expires. My husband fill out the 1-130 in our married name. I wonder if he made a mistake.. Hmmmm. I have no copy as of now. Will get all copys before the DS-230 arrives. Hopefully. Is that OK?

    Marie

  8. Hi All;

(I wrote on another forum but didn't get the right answer I feel.)

We got the 1-130 approved way back a month ago, now it's choice of agent. But here is the problem, they send it to me in my maiden name, not even spell right. OMG!!!. Now what? Should I just name my husband choice of agent or should I somehow correct that. HOW and HOW? Remember me? I was the one that immigration thought I had married before and I didn't. My husband and I sent a letter of explanation to get approved which work, thank God. I know immigration MUST be tired........ but so are we..... I am worried about that whole name mistakes, it could give us problems later on. My passport is in my married name, sheesh they know that. No, my husband didn't make a mistake filling out the 1-130..lol. Give me advise pleaseeeeeeeeeeee.

    I am discourage.

  9. For peace of mind, give the NVC a call and get clarification. Talking to a real person tends to put one at ease as opposed to sending letters to a PO box. They were able to change my wife's address over the phone, easy fix. Maybe they can work the same magic for a name?? Maybe wishful thinking but if you don't ask, you'll never know.

    Just my 2 cents......

    Bob

Thanks for some help, but I don't think that is going to work. It will give me problems when interview comes... I have a feeling. And it is hard to call someone, you just got lucky..lol

    Marie :D

  12. Hello Kathryn.

Thanks for the advise. There was a lot of advise, but yours seems the best. My husband is writing a letter of content, letter of explanation and also new form 1-130. We found a mistake in the other form that could have triggered a misunderstanding. Maybe?

He is also getting in contact with his congressman and or Senator.

    Thanks again.. Hope it works.

    Marie

The best way is for your husband to make an Infopass at his local USCIS office, bring copies of all of the information, the RFE letter and the statement that you and he are still married, were never divorced, and that you have only ever been married to him so there are no other divorce documents. Does he have a copy of the application forms and such that he submitted with the I-130? Could he or you have checked off that you were previously married, thinking that it referred to this marriage where it actually meant a marriage prior to this one? It might be worth checking the copies he has and if that is the case, then filling out a new form to replace the one they have showing the correct information is necessary. For whatever reason they seem to believe that you have a prior marriage. Your husband can go to USCIS and see if they can help him correct that information, but he will also need to respond to the RFE.

When he sends back the RFE he needs to explain that you were never married to anyone else therefore the documents they are requesting do not exist, that you are still married and your marriage did not break down nor have you got a divorce. He needs to explain that he is re-petitioning for his wife who was granted permanent residency status in 2009 but due to family circumstances had to leave the US and was told by the border guard that she needed to surrender her green card in order to visit her family in Canada. If, upon reviewing the forms and information he filled out for the I-130 he finds a mistake, then he needs to include the corrected form with the RFE request and ask them to replace the form they have with this one, which contains the correct information.

It certainly wouldn't hurt for him to ask his Senator or Congressman for assistance as well. He would do this by contacting their local office, providing them with a permission request allowing them to investigate on his behalf (these are usually available on the representative's website and can be printed, filled out and faxed in) and asking them to help find out why USCIS thinks you were married previously.

Unfortunately, there is no way to call USCIS yourselves, and it doesn't matter what department. All information is accessed by your A# so wherever the application is, that is how it would be accessed. The only public number is to a call center which is answered by non-immigration contract employees who read off standard answers from a prepared list. While they can forward a call to an actual immigration officer, that officer really doesn't have access to any more information than appears on their computer screen. The USCIS call center is also known as the Mis-information line because they give wrong information more often than not - and you have already received enough wrong information from people who should have known better. Your husband's Congressman and Senators have direct private lines to USCIS that their staff can use, so it is better to take advantage of their resources to see if they can find out why USCIS believes you had another marriage.

    Good luck.

  13. Maybe now would be the time to get your husband to call his congressman or senators for some help there. Good luck!

Thanks to all who reponded. What is the number of USCIS? And what department?

  14. Hello Canada;

This is long and may be confusing. I need help fast. We only have till Febuary 27th to reply to Immigration concerning the 1-130 and a RFE that arrived at my husband home in Missouri.

I am a Canadian citizen, married to US citizen. I married in 2007, June 16th. We began the long process of immigration. We file a 1-130, approved, second stage DS-230, ok, then panel physician for interview in Montreal. Got visa,in 2009 month of April. Moved to USA on July 19th, border was hell, they kept finger printing me saying I moved my finger, I did not. Ah, I am with my husband , finaly. We are happy, got my social security number, got my welcome to USA and a book. Pass my beginners for drivers license all in 2 months. The book I received all about the USA, well here comes the bad part. I skim throught it, because I was so fed up studying immigration for 2 years.

Now it is 4 months later, sickness in my family, I need to return for a while back to Canada. Told husband, don't worry, I will be back. I got to the border and told them I was going home for a while, the border quard explain I could not have two differents adresses because I am 2 years condional. I would have to abandent. I did, what a mistake, thinking it would be so easy to return. Yes, I gave them the green card. This was November 13th 2009.

Now, we had to re-file all over again. We file the 1-130 for IR1 ( 10 years)in October 2010. It took a long time to know what we had to do. We included in our PK, a letter of contents in the first, marriage certificate excetera. We included in the second letter of content, a photo-copy of old visa ( that I received from Montreal), green card number, a letter from a friend who was at our wedding knowing my husband and I, a photo-copy of old pasport with maiden name, a photo-copy of new passport with married name, the letter my husband wrote explaining why I had to leave and old receipt number of 1-130 file back in 2009, including the receipt number.

Here is the RFE on the 1-130 file back in October 2010.(Marriage Termination submit a legible copy of the original language final divorce decree that shows proof of filing, or the death certificate issued by the civil authorities, that terminated the previous marriage(s) between Marie Agnes Tobias and prior spouse(s)the decision to approve or deny the petition will be based upon the type(s) evidence submitted and it's credibility

I am still married to my husband and was only married that time. What do they need? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Please help anyone.

    Marie

  15. ah - so this was the 2nd I-130 on you ?

or did you come in initially on a K-1 visa ?

either way, if the prior petition was not listed on the I-130 (even for the same person)

and this 'issue' not covered in either the cover letter or an additional letter of attestation

    then

    IMO -

the current adjudicator is confused, and wants to see much on you, a prior green card holder.

    Hello again.

Yes, this is the second 1-130 for the same person, my husband. I abandent in November 2009. I was there for only 4 months. I return home not knowing all the rules. ( my faulth). I left due to illness in family. After two years of filling out forms back in 2007. I was so fed up on reading immigration. I was approved and everything went fine.

My husband and I made sure we included all information in the second 1-130 file back in October of 2010. Prior green card number. We included the number of the old 1-130, where it was file. The number of receit was included. In the first letter of content, we included further information listen in second letter of content. I have to agree they are confuse. But, we did included everything. How can we fix this? Thanks again for responding.

    Marie

  16. Are you sure they are asking about you? Maybe your husband was married before? If it is the first marriage for both of you, check your copy of the paperwork- maybe you ticked a box somewhere indicating you were married before?

    Hello all:

Yes, they are asking about me. My husband check the copy of 1-130, and says he didn't tick any box that would indicate I was married before. I check the box, married and check the number (1). Because I am married. We went throught this all before in 2009, and was approved. I move there, I move back because of sickness in family. The problems was at the border, where they told me I had to abandent, because I didn't know how long I would be. Now we had to start all over again. How do I prove I was not married before, am, still married to my husband in the US. It is a mistake or something. Is it possible that immigration made a mistake? Can my husband called them?

My husband was married before, and has included a copy of divorce. They are naming me.

Thanks for the response. If you can help in any way or any one else, I would greatly appreciate it.

    Marie

  17. Hello all.

  18. Hello:

I have question concerning vaccinations requirements. I had all vaccination done back in 2006-2007-2008.

I went through a panel physician for immigration in October of 2008, in Nova- Scotia. He is no longer an immigration physician as I will have to do Montreal. Now the funny thing is on HEB-B , is some people say it is good for 5 years and another say 15 years? Which is it? Will my blood test that was done in 2006, still be good?

A problem getting an appointment for my physician will be impossible but an after hour medical clinic does all vaccinations. Also there is a pharmacist that does vaccinations a whole lot cheaper. Which would be better? Both give a complete record. I do have my green vaccination papers and titre papers from 2006-2007 and 2008.

    Marie

  19. On both Petitioner and Beneficiary G325-A, I selected OTHER and wrote CR-1 Visa

This question is not that strict IMO, I believe there are many different acceptable answers to this question.

Oh Oh. I check the (Status as permanent resident.) Should I send an e-mail to my husband to fix this? We have been married since 2007. Should we check (others) and specify? I just send all the papers to my husband in the USA, they will arrive on Friday. My husband will be filling out his G-325 A. I am the one moving.

    Thanks in advance.
